I grew up with Joe Cocker's music. He was an English singer known for his gritty, bluesy voice & dynamic stage performances that featured expressive body movements. He recorded a few Beatles' songs "With A Little Help From My Friends", "She Came In Through The Bathroom Window" & "Something". Other hits were "Up Where We Belong" (a duet with Jennifer Warnes), "Delta Lady", "Darling Be Home Soon", "Cry Me A River", "Feelin' Alright", "The Letter" etc.
i AGREE MASSIVE INFLUENCE FOR FUTURE PERFORMER s
"You Can Leave Your Hat On" ... awesome Cocker song.
It doesn't matter who wrote it as much as who owned it...Joe Cocker possessed this song...a singer that "owned" it 😍 from the heart
I cry every time I hear this. He means every word. It's like he's singing to me. Many people have done this before. Joe's version is a cover. But the best in my opinion. Please listen to more.
Two young men named Billy Preston and Bruce Fisher wrote this song for their 9th album in 1976. Joe Cocker heard it and started singing it in a much slower tempo. It became his highest chart topping solo. You should be a fan, he is such a talent! RIP Thanks Adogg watched it all with you.
Billy Preston the other Beatle from their final live rooftop concert?! Cool
@@danjohnson2986 yes, that very same Billy Preston who played with the Beatles!
@@jamiemitchell8281 thanks for that info. I love learning stuff like that.
I didn't know Billy Preston helped write this ,but on thinking about it ,it is definitely one of his songs .
Joe Cocker was pure soul.
For another song by him with a great groove, check out, "Delta Lady".
Written by the great Leon Russell.
Joe Cocker can make any song, his song.
"You Are So Beautiful" is a song written by Billy Preston and Bruce Fisher that was first released in 1974 on Preston's ninth studio album, The Kids & Me.
Billy Preston was gangsta. Loved him so much. Also, Leon Russell was right up there too.
I was blessed to have seen Joe perform in a bar where he wasn't more than 30 feet from me. It was incredible.
That must have been such an amazing show!! I'm so glad you had the chance to see him live❤❤
Right on ✌️😎
Joe Cocker is a legend.
That song has always held a special spot - was the song ny husband picked as our "first dance at our wedding" - we were married 39 yrs when he passed at 61 - miss him daily - song always makes me smile and cry!!! Had many records - so much music in our home - still is. Love these "reaction" videos of music I grew up with. Our tastes ran the whole gambit.
Another awesome song sung by Joe Cocker is Leave Your Hat On.....such a good song!
So raw, so heartfelt, so romantic. He is the proof that women aren't always into a man's looks.
I ❤️Joe Cocker❤
Ditto!
Greatness is joe C.
God bless RIP. ❤❤
You have to do "You Can Leave Your Hat On" it's great.
Oh man, that’s a damn sexy song. Please please please do this one. It’ll blow ya away. And, danceable, to me.
@@jeanine6328 my coworkers gave me a male stripper who danced to this, whew so sexy.
He is doing a cover. But he does it so well, it's pretty much associated with him.
Billy Preston wrote You are so Beautiful, but many have covered it, including Eric Clapton, Diana Ross, Leon Russell and of course, Joe Cocker.
Joe Cocker: Feeling Alright!!!! Great song !!
Darlin’ be home soon is another great song by Joe.
Thanks for the song as well are world is so much better with youin it bless be
I love his voice. ❤🥺
Pure talent.
Loved your reaction! Have subbed to you. Do a reaction video to "LEAVE THE DOOR OPEN" by a Filipino Sisters 4th Impact.

Listen to the version of "cry me a river" from "Mad dogs and Englishmen"....it's sooooo good. I would have given anything to have been at this concert.
I saw Joe in the '70s at The Joyous Lake in Woodstock, NY. I was there to see the band Stuff ( Played behind Paul Simon in 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover ) and who came stumbling in, Joe Cocker. He did an impromptu set. It was amazing.
Just recently came across your channel. And truly enjoy seeing your reactions. I was 16 when Woodstock happened. Allow me to suggest another Woodstock performer. It's on youtube, "Santana - Soul Sacrifice 1969 Woodstock". Rock on!
Yes this is Joe Cocker song and everyone else is covering it. It was created after he done your died of drug addiction but his wife, a lady of color hang in there to the Bone. This was for her
Watch the movie "Woodstock" (the Directors cut) so that you can see Joe's performance...and Jimi Hendrix.. and Santana. The audience at Woodstock was more than 100,000 people.
My Aunt LOVED Joe Cocker…. Matter of fact she introduced me to him and she seen him in concert
Joe Cocker was amazing, I saw him live in concert in Melbourne Australia many years ago - he was truly remarkable.❤❤
His live outdoor version of With A little Help From My Friends is incredible.
Another fun song he does is "She Came In Through The Bathroom Window". The song you're reacting to today was a cover that was recorded in 1974 by Billy Preston who also was one of the two who wrote the song.
Written by Billy Preston / Bruce Carleton Fisher, made immortal in song by THE Joe Cocker.
Hi from Italy! He was in my Town - Bolzano- two times in the nineteen, he performed his last songs, not the best of his carreer, but he was great! Rip Joe
Joe came on the scene at the exact moment we all needed him ✌️😎
❤Joe. RIP
I love Joe Cocker doing this.❤️❤️❤️
This is the love every woman wants.
Joe’s singing was everything that is Beautiful in this world. All his talent was heaven sent. RIP Joe Cooker.❤️🙏🏼
Peace, Love!!
My favorite song!
Alfalfa sang it to Darla in The Little Rascals movie.
So moving ❤️
I saw Joe Cocker in June 1990 in San Diego. He was the Headline Act that night as his opening act was Stevie Ray Vaughan! He and Stevie would take turns as opening act. They were both fantastic. First heard Joe in 1968, been a fan ever since. You should consider reacting to and
This is my all-time favourite version of this song. Makes me cry, every time. I love it. Thanks for playing it. 👍
"She came in through the bathroom window" (another beatles remake) "THE TICKET" for an airplane, Feeling all right!,, all great Joe Cocker songs.
Guess what? You are so beautiful to us. Be blessed and much Love to you.
I always heard it was his song from when his daughter was born!!
Joe Cocker is pure grit and soul! Try "Unchain My Heart" next. You won't be sorry!!! ✌️🎶💙
Ah you did it. Great song. Great performance.
Adogg, thanks for covering Joe Cocker again. Would still suggest you give When the Night Comes a listen. And BTW...had my 83 year old mom listen to one of your videos and she thinks you are just so cute!
I want front row too.❤❤
try Joe Cocker
🎵 The Letter 🎵 🎶
keep the good work my friend ✌️
Mr.Adogg nice choice once again!!! Joe Cocker is an amazing talent.Thank u for reacting to this particular song.Rock on Bruthr!!! Its an awesome thing ur doing showing young people the music I grew up listening to. Thank You!
'Shelter Me',, and 'Unchain My Heart' are two of my favorites bt Joe. Neither were written by him, but he was the first to record 'Shelter Me.'
You can leave your hat on from the movie 9 1/2 weeks sound track
Check out Billy Vera " At this Moment "
I heard Joe Cocker one time in the late 1980's at a summertime outdoor concert by Lake Ontario. He wasn't young but he poured out the songs the same as ever. 'Da Real Adogg' you would have loved it. Honestly I can still see him singing there on stage.
Ladies and Gentlemen, Joe Cocker.
I think you'd like this. It's kinda like jazz, blues and soul melded together. (...and an inspiring video, I think.):
Joe Cocker - Unchain My Heart (Official Video)
just word for this singer singing this song............................... pure
He sounds so soulful
This was originally sung by Olivia Newton_John. But he nailed it.
Check out Joe Cocker’s Feels like Forever, if you haven’t already…
Try the live version of "Shelter Me"
Happy Easter all!
@Da Real Adogg Tommy Emmanuel playing Classical Gas needs to get on the list.
Kenny Rogers did the song beautifully. I think I like Kenny's version better I think but both are great. Kenny's voice is smooth and clear Joe's voice is gravelly, raw, and cuts into you like a jagged knife.
You can leave your hat on!
Raw soul
Joe Cocker performed With A Little Help From My Friends in 1968 a yr before Woodstock, it is a Beatles cover that hit #1 for the Beatles and Joe Cocker's version went to #5 go figure 😕 the Beatles loved Joe Cocker's version so much when Joe Cocker recorded it in the studio the Beatles were there and John Lennon played guitar on Joe's album. In 1974 he recorded this Billy Preston song You Are So Beautiful that went to #5 and became Joe's signature song, in 1983 he recorded UP Where We Belong with Jennifer Warnes for a movie called An Officer And A Gentleman that went to #1 and he won a Grammy Award. Joe Cocker had an amazing voice so when he came in #97 on the rolling stones top 100 greatest voices of all time I was shocked Joe Cocker could go from rough and powerful to soft and beautiful. Joe Cocker passed away December 22, 2014 of lung cancer. Joe Cocker was an amazing performer and is sadly missed. One song I think you would really like Feeling Alright.
Looks like you have become a real Joe Cocker fan. I can’t wait to hear your reaction to Janis Joplin. You would have loved that concert. It was such a music and love fest.
Your nest Joe song should be his cover of the letter
ADOGG CAN U GET A THE LIVE PERFORMANCE OF PRINCE AMERICA LIVE ( Prince - America (Live 1985) [Official Video])
Joe Cocker was known for doing covers his voice is amazing one of favorite artists. You can leave your hat is my favorite
Please do The Brothers Johnson "I'll Be Good To You" !
Another suggestion by Joe Cocker. My Father's Son
Try Space Captain by Mad Dogs and Englishman tour
Please do “You Can Leave Your Hat On” can’t to see your reaction to that!
It’s his song he sang it at a much slower tempo than what it was written and made it a hit it has been covered many times but none as good as this I would argue
Cover of Joe's songs? o_O Well, ... let's say: Joe Cocker is the most successfull cover singer of all time! ;-)
"You Are So Beautiful" is a song written by Billy Preston and Bruce Fisher that was first released in 1974 ..." < *wiki
Joe covered "With A Little Help From My Friends", "Summer In The City", "You Can Leave Your Hat On", "Unchain My Heart" (♥ i love this one by Ray Charles!), etc. pp.
❤
This is a Leon Russell song (I told you about him wearing the blue hat with Joe at Woodstock, you know, the video you turned off before it actually ended, cause you always in such a big hurry.) Like I said, Leon Russel wrote this song, and everybody in the music industry has covered it so I'm sure you have heard it. Joe also did a duet with someone famous but, old age, I can't remember. Might be Dolly Parton. Check out Joe: "You Can Keep Your Hat On" and then check out Leon Russell with Willie Nelson singing "A Song For You" to Ray Charles on his birthday. You get three of the greatest ever in one song, how's that for incredible? Oh yeah, Leon wrote that one too. It's cold where I am, I'm wearing my Leon Rusell black hoodie.
"You Are So Beautiful" is a song written by Billy Preston and Bruce Fisher
These reactors are going to discover Leon Russell eventually.
Leon Russell never got the credit he deserved. I loved him, always one of my favorites.
I believe this was a Ray Charles song, I know he covered Unchain My Heart which is a Ray Charles song
JOE had a one of a kind voice. I saw him once live in Detroit in my hippie years after my time in the army. Check out UNCHAINED MELODY
Joe did not have any original songs but he made all the songs original
Joe Cocker just did covers, to my knowledge. His covers were virtually always better than the original.
He did write songs for his albums. But his hits were all covers, I believe.
Even the Beatles said he did it better.
My ex husbands favorite song. It is really beautiful and he was always looking at me when it played. The song didn't keep us together, but it brings back sweet memories.
You say the name of the song. Us oldies can only sing those words.
I never thought Joe would last so long. Thought the lifestyle would get him. I saw him in the beginning and near the end in 2001. Was just as perfect. This was Joe's song. Check out
"A Song For You" - Willie Nelson, Ray Charles, Leon Russell
As a Canadian you must react to the Jennifer Warnes duets with Joe and others. Her solo work is stellar too.
It's a Billy Preston song but I don't think anyone ever performed it like Joe Cocker.
British talent, I believe he wrote it for the birth of his child.
Billy Preston wrote it in 1974 for his mother, Joe cocker covered the song
If you like his voice and style then you need to listen to the amazing Phil Driscoll, Christian singer and possibly the best trumpeter in the world. Christ Remains is a very powerful song of his. One of hundreds
He IS the original
My 21-year-old stepson drowned a month ago saving his older brother and a friend could you please play scars in Heaven by Casting Crowns for him please
Joe was a huge Ray Charles fan; you can hear it in his phrasings sometimes.
I grew up listening to his music. He put a lot of passion into his music. There’s another band I grew up loving check out Rare Earth any song peace
Amazing song!
Billy Preston wrote this song.
It’s no a Joe song but it’s a great song that catches almost everyone off guard, including me. It’s by Bobby Caldwell called What You Won’t do for Love.
