Food poisoning sucks but it is what it is. My sister once got it eating chorizo my grandma’s sister cooked. It was during her hospital experience as a student nurse there so it was stressful. Sadly it can happen randomly like that. Not sure how you got it from halo halo unless the food vendor or restaurant is not hygienic or the ingredients they used is almost expired 😢. The ice thing could be it too.

Yes you’re right, the ice wasn’t clean. Locals are used to the dirty ice but not tourists. Be careful. Don’t ruin your well deserved vacation in the beautiful Philippines.
Maybe you change your body in the climate because the humidity in the ohilippines is hot and maybe your body can not adapt the climate thats why you hospitalised and also you say water maybe if you new to my country in yhe philippines you buy mineral water so that your safe but all in the philippines drink water but there are some place they dont allow to drink,enjoy and be safe welcome to philippines.❤❤❤

yes! i made sure to drink only bottled water but i think it was the small amount of ice in the halo halo :( my friend said i should've waited a couple of days before eating the ice to let my stomach adjust
@@KatelynDeWitt the food here is not really that easy to adjust to especially if you come from a foreign land, and It does take a while for your stomach to get used to it, my cousin who visited from Florida years back went thru the same minus the hospital, our uncle is a doctor and he just prescribed meds and pedialyte, funny enough her boyfriend (I think he was half American half columinan) who is not Filipino ate and drank same thing but he was fine…hope it will be a “iwas sakit” or “avoid getting sick” next time you visit so you can enjoy more of your time here, for now stay safe and safe travels
