I'm a visual learner too and I love how you organized everything so cohesively. I'm just finishing up my first yr, but I will def be using this going forward. Thanks for the tips! I will be sharing with some classmates
I am currently taking the LPN program and looking for a easier way to study and absorb information. I’m looking forward to giving this a try! You make awesome study guides and I’ll definitely need it for a final coming up in 2 weeks. Thank you!
Thank you. I'm going to try this approach 😁 I keep pausing and stopping my lectures to take notes, and a 1 hour lecture end up taking me 3 hours 🤣 I'm a second year nursing student in Australia, and I'm still finding the best way to study for me.
Thank you for this. I failed medsurg by not being prepared and not knowing how to study properly. I just started retaking the semester and would try your method.
I would just like to say thank you. I am finishing up my pre requisites and feel much more comfortable about nursing school thanks to some of your videos regarding this topic. They really do help a lot and you are a great person for sharing this information.
This is SO helpful! I just started my 2nd semester and really struggled the 1st semester. I didn’t make any type of study guide so will be trying this for sure! I have so many class mates that do it and benefit from it a lot!
Weirdly for my program we have all out textbooks online part of a program which I find odd because I prefer the physical copy of the book for highlighting
Hey girl im not sure if you know but you can also pull up the Powerpoint & view it as an*Outline... it will view only with words in outline format! Im sure you may have figured this out by now lol. Just fyi :D
I’m also in college for my ADN ❤️. I’m taking my prerequisites rn but fall 2021 I will be eligible to apply for the nursing program so thanks for this! 😊
@@sonalivasdev3232 **answering your question for others with the same question ** A pre- requisite or Pre-req is a college course required to be taken by your program according to that programs curriculum for the semester . So for example is you’re a nursing student any course required for you to be taken in your program that doesn’t start with the prefix NUR- would be considered a pre- req . Pre -req classes must also be taken and passed according to the semester it’s listed in for your college degree program . Ex . 1st semester Nursing School Curriculum • Eng 101 • Bio 101 • Mth 100, 99 or higher •Nur 201 • Nur 203 • Nur 204 I’m order for me to advance to the 2nd semester in the ADN program I will have needed to take all of those classes in my first semester of the program and have passed them. Now most people choose to take all of their reqs first and then take their nursing classes , that’s the route I took and what I recommend . As you can see from above my college requires a lot of classes in the first semester of the ADN program itself . Pre- reqs can also be taken before you are accepted into the nursing program . You will be listed as a general student / general degree .
I absolutely love this!! Im in my first year of nursing school and making my first study guide with inspiration from yours. How many pages are your study guides for each concept/topic? I feel like mine are way too long and maybe im putting too much info?
If you don’t mind sharing do you have test anxiety? Do you have any tips if so? I do and I think that’s what’s getting me. I’m still getting high B’s but I’m in my first semester and I know it’s going to get harder.
Hi elizabeth, I am not a nursing student Or a nurse. I am just a high school student. My dream and my ambition is to become a nurse. My mom is a nurse. When l tell her I want to become a nurse. She tell me that it is so hard. But I will become a nurse. And l am your very big fan I haven't missed any video yet. God bless you and study hard.
Hey! I noticed that you go to a school that is near by mine. I was wondering if you have any tips for med surg? I know the programs differ but content is the same! Good luck in school 🤍
I do a similar type of thing for pharm! I used to make medication flashcards like they suggested but that was just way too time consuming so I switched it up
Thank you I'm in my last year we start Medsurg next month. My question is how long do you give yourself to prepare each study guide? being that their might be many topics being covered, and how many pages is too much in your opinion? To be effective.
This is SUCH a helpful video! I am applying to get into an ADN program too at my local community college! Random question...Is an Accelerated Nursing Program the same thing as an Associate Degree in Nursing program? Thank you so much! You're awesome!!
Aww I used to watch you back in the day when you were studying and what not where did all your videos go? Why did you delete them I am in nursing school and wanted to watch some of your old vidoes😢
My school uses a concept based approach so we don't have separate Patho, nutrition classes, ect. I know most schools do it separately so idk what would be easier! I've never experienced it any other way
Can you do a tutorial for how you format your outlines? I like the color options on this platform but I feel like my organization in the format falls flat or becomes overzealous. Thanks in advance!

Nice guide! Organisation is everything!
This is so helpful!!! I'm just finishing my 1st quarter of nursing
yey I'm glad!! congrats on completing your first semester!!
Love this! Thanks so much! Ugh I’m so jealous though. Our school doesn’t allow us to record anything.
Weirdly for my program we have all out textbooks online part of a program which I find odd because I prefer the physical copy of the book for highlighting
Same :/
I took these tips & all my nursing classmates are jealous! I send them this vid link everytime!
Starts at 3:40
Elizabeth this is a great example for students. I will share your video with my nursing students.
This is great thank you!
Yes any study tips as you can I'll be on my way to nursing school studying will be life

How do you do that? When i try that. It only shows the title of each slide
Really great study guide it’s so organized 🤗and great video very informative
I might try this out!
I’m also in college for my ADN ❤️. I’m taking my prerequisites rn but fall 2021 I will be eligible to apply for the nursing program so thanks for this! 😊

I do mines the same exact way. but we already get an outline with all the info. So I just add my notes. Super helpful.

Hey! I noticed that you go to a school that is near by mine. I was wondering if you have any tips for med surg? I know the programs differ but content is the same! Good luck in school 🤍
Hey! Do you think that study guides would also be helpful for pharmacology too?? Thanks!
Joanne Ines I hope so. I’m struggling with pharm right now 😩 even when I studied hard.
I do a similar type of thing for pharm! I used to make medication flashcards like they suggested but that was just way too time consuming so I switched it up
@@ticktocktrish6893 you got this!!
can you put a link with ur drive notes i like the way u organized them
We don’t get powerpoints 😔 we’re pretty much on our own with readings
I also do notes like you and find it very helpful for Pharm and Fundamentals... also, love-love-love Registered Nurse RN on you tube!!! Good luck!
What app do you use to record your lectures in class?
How do you get the color pictures on the study guides?
How do you grab the images from canvas to google drive ?
OMG so beautiful
thank you 😊
What laptop is best for nursing school & is great for taking notes?
Thank you I'm in my last year we start Medsurg next month. My question is how long do you give yourself to prepare each study guide? being that their might be many topics being covered, and how many pages is too much in your opinion? To be effective.

This is SUCH a helpful video! I am applying to get into an ADN program too at my local community college! Random question...Is an Accelerated Nursing Program the same thing as an Associate Degree in Nursing program? Thank you so much! You're awesome!!

Can we purchase access to your study guides?
unfortunately no :( I wish I could, but there are reasons I can not
My nursing program tests almost solely on nursing care/interventions, very little patho for my med-surg classes. How does yours test?
My school uses a concept based approach so we don't have separate Patho, nutrition classes, ect. I know most schools do it separately so idk what would be easier! I've never experienced it any other way
