Well done demo! Will wait for the performance testing etc
Great videos on the RT6600AX. Thank you!
This video is very well done, I am a novice IT guy and this video is easy to follow and with no extra B/S - Thanks for taking the time to create a step-by-step video for setup (I think the name of the video should have "Setup" in it :). Looking forward to the next video
I Never knew synology made a router, and this almost appears more user friendly than Unifi for a home user with a couple Vlans. Looking forward to the additional videos and final thoughts.
Once Synology offers AP's and switches then I see it as a viable solution for our people, however for a limited technical owner this might be a pretty good solution for them.
That interface is nice...
Over the last week I have been looking at getting a synology or qnap and was thinking qnap because they give you more cameras but now I am looking at synology because it would be nice with them having routers and possible access points possibly a full set up
Cody, I'm considering a UDR or UDM Pro, do they offer more and/or superior security features to off the shelf routers like this Synology, Netgear, Linksys, etc, or are they just more transparent and/or customizable? Interested in best security and VLAN capability for home use, thanks much,
Thanks for this informative video. Now I have a really stupid question: Where is the firewall log? I figured I would find it in the firewall settings or at least in the log center but maybe it needs to be enabled somehow?
Excellent video thank you! Just used it to setup VLANs myself
Sorry if I’ve missed it but I look forward to a video about setting up firewall rules if you can?
Working on that video now and should be uploaded tomorrow
Great video but I don't have the Local Network > Network > Create option, it seems you have a premium version of the operating system.
I would recommend this router for family and friends
Hello... I have a concern about making ipv6 work on this router... I mention that the ISP assigned me a native address (the connection is made via PPPoE).... I tried all the options to make it work and I didn't succeed, but I still succeeded with 6to4, which doesn't delight me. Is there any option to go in Native mode or is it a system problem? Thank you in advance.
There is some confusion about the WAN port from other reviewers. Can you confirm that the WAN port (blue) is 2.5gb? And there is also a single LAN port (yellow) that is 2.5gb? Great video!
The WAN port (the blue jack) is 1Gbps. The first LAN port is 2.5Gbps capable (and can also be configured as a WAN port). The rest of the LAN ports are 1Gbps.
I hate the external antennas on the outside of routers these day's because they are completely garbage because they are not detachable. So if any of them break or get damaged in any way, you are literally stuck with having to buy a whole new Wi-Fi router. That's why I go with Wi-Fi routers that have nonbreakable internal antennas, but I'm finding out that Wi-Fi 802.11n/ac/ax routers with nonbreakable internal antennas are becoming impossible to find these day's. The Synology WRX560 is one such Wi-Fi 802.11n/ac/ax router that I bought off Amazon because of its nonbreakable internal antenna design. In fact, Synology WRX560 is the only Wi-Fi 802.11n/ac/ax router I could find that works with my gigabit optic fiber internet that has nonbreakable internal antennas.
The title of this says you look at the firewall but nowhere in this video do I see the firewall mentioned at all
It was an over video of the initial setup of the firewall
Here’s a video for some firewall rules

How can i install it on internet. Cabel?
How is this compared to Unifi Dream Router?
I have and use older model of synology router RT2600ac and I use that as router for my unifi setup. On that model You can't change VLAN ID for guests nework(November or December 2022) and wifi have problems with stability if You add mesh units to network. About Threat Prevention You need to install external storage to use that app - I recomend usb 3.0/3.2 ssd - storage is needded for Threat Prevention data base and logs BTS when You on Threat Prevention CPU on router os olways hight betwen 50 - 96% and memory about 60% on RT2600ac
UPdate about VILAN ID for guests network - I check that on my RT2600ac today and probably last SRM update unlock option to change VLAN ID for guest netwok- default VLAN ID was 1733 on SRM.
