Fiona had a really interesting arc. One of my favorite parts is when Sonic says that she sure seems to be fighting awfully hard for Scourge, even though she said she doesn't trust anyone. I love that she didn't even have a response to this.

Yeah. This storyline definitely shows a different side of Tails that usually isn't seen in the comics and videogames.

An 11 year old does not act like this, yelling at his adopted big brother "I hate you", just because the girl who is the same age as his adopted big brother, is so embarrassed being asked out by an 11 year old, and said that she would rather go out with a guy her age, like his adopted big brother.
I never acted like that when I was 11, and I did know that asking a girl older than me, out, is inappropriate.
Wasn’t it also told in the comics that Fiona first met Scourge while he was inpersonating Sonic? I wish that was more elaboreted on in the comics
Tbh it might have been a thing that I missed because it sounds right. But, sometimes they don't make the timeline super clear in Archie lol
@@FantasticSamtastic You know I was wondering if I remembered correctly so I read chapters 150 where Scourge started to impersonate sonic till chapter 172 when Sonic found out Fiona was cheating on him with Scourge. Started at ch150 cuz that was when Fiona and Scourge apperently met as stated in ch172, I read the chapters in between wondering if they had any interaction.
This is what I found:
- Unless I missed something their whole romance happened off screen even in ch150 & 151 they never interacted
- A lot of confusion
- Three different art styles in 20 chapters
- Sonic and Bunny kissing like where did that came from and it never got adressed again and then Sonic is suddenly dating Fiona....
- More confusion like I must be missing something right

It very easy not to feel bad for Tails. I feel bad for Fiona. Imagine how awkward could be to tell a kid you are not interested because... well he is a kid, without crushing his feelings.
I'm glad that Tails finally got his happy ending in the 30 Years Later.
Mina is an odd choice, but at least Tails is no longer an incel.

Even Amy Rose grew resentful of her. Fiona is truly an evil female character in the comics.

@@FantasticSamtastic Yeah. She's one of the few female characters who doesn't end up on the side of good, unlike Amy, Sally, Rouge, Mina, etc...
Something else that makes her stand out from the rest, which is interesting.
When IDW continued the Sonic comics they didn't carry over the characters that were made in Archie Comics.
Amy, Rouge, Cream, and a few others made the cut. Female characters such as Sally Acorn or Fiona Fox didn't make the cut because they were owned by Archie Comics, not IDW. They just stuck with the characters that were in the games and originally made by SEGA.

I kinda wish in the games, comics, or both that Sega or IDW would make a punching bag character that was literally just a parody of Ken Penders (i.e. some name like Kevin Scandalie) who is fat pig Mobian who does things that deserves the ire of everyone including Eggman and every other villain. This could purely be like an inside joke Easter egg that has no speaking roles.
Is this overboard? Maybe. Does Ken deserve this treatment? Honestly, this is being a bit mild and not harsh enough.

I don't care if fans found Evil B*tch Fiona to be more interesting. Her face-heel turn came out of nowhere and makes no sense when you consider that she already had some resentment towards Sonic at the start, and even joined the Freedom Fighters with the intent to get back at the Blue Blur. But after Sonic sacrificed himself to save Mobius from the Xorda's secret weapon, Fiona realized she was wrong about him. She couldn't go on believing that he would willingly leave her behind.
If anything, her following the "only the strong survive" mentality is even more generic. And besides, Ian Flynn only made her evil for the sole purpose of hooking her up with Scourge.

To the toxic manbaby, sonicstar917 So you are a toxic manchild throwing a temper tantrum. It was clearly explained why Fiona turned evil. She was abandoned by Sonic & the Freedom Fighters early on and resented them for it. What's generic would be Fiona being a good guy. Fiona following the mentality of survival of the fittest is interesting. Ian Flynn turned her evil because that was the logical conclusion to her character and made her far more interesting.

And SonicStar917 already explained that Fiona forgave Sonic after he sacrificed himself to stop the Xorda's weapon from destroying Mobius;
Fiona: "After I was left behind when you rescued Mighty the Armadillo and Ray the Squirrel from one of Robotnik's bases... I blamed you for a really long time, but when you nearly sacrificed your life to save the world... I couldn't continue believing that a guy like you would leave me there on purpose."
It's not toxic to point out that Flynn's writing contradicts what was already there.

Yes I remember how Fiona used Tails and Sonic feeling for Her and almost guard Sonic and Tails to Fight over Her and Amy was angry with Fiona and Now who Tails first crush did not wanted him but his Friend's Sonic but manipulated Sonic and Tails Love and Twist and end up dumping Sonic for for Scourge the Hedgehog

When you said that the comic was "ruined", I already knew that Ken Penders was somehow involved...even before you mentioned his name.
Fiona is a very pathetic character. She hooks up with Scourge because he enables her worse behaviors, and she's so obviously trying to copy Rouge but fails because she lacks her skill. Its interesting in a way.

Unpopular opinion: I don't care what anyone says. She had potential to be a good character that could forgive Sonic, redeem herself and have a happy ending, but no. They just HAD to scrap all that and make her revert her back to her old ways out of the blue.

whatever the writers had planned for Fiona before the reboot better found by the guys behind Sonic archie online, 'cause Fiona needs this. i can see that Fiona's betrayal DID come out of nowhere to the naked eye, though i do know that some viewers look between the lines in order to figure out why Fiona bailed, which unfortunately was not shown, i still find her interesting for her appearance, especially in her evil form. personally i hope that whatever plan she made with Finitevus goes haywire and leads to the world about to be destroyed, a line i believe she will not cross, and it'll be a REAL wake up call for her.
That would actually be really interesting to see how far she would go when being evil!
here's a theory i've come up with a few weeks ago@@FantasticSamtastic . Fiona started her initial life of crime because she concluded that her parents had abandoned her, right? (and while she intended to reform after Sonic's sacrifice, but according to other reviewers who look between the lines and unseen info, due to seeing something in scourge, old wounds opening up and everyone, sally especially, judging her because of her past and how sketchy she has been about it, she turned to Scourge out of love and feeling that she couldn't count on anyone else, just brought it up out of feeling like typing it) but what if, in a later archie online issue, it turns out that her parents didn't actually abandon her at all, but rather they were either killed or captured by evil forces that they COULDN'T come for her. should she find that out and should it be the latter, Fiona COULD reunite with them and, realise how wrong she was, rescue them, forgive them and beg for THEIR forgiveness before becoming remorseful and turning herself in.
