I wish we could have seen Sliver have to face Mammoth Mogul during his casino days. Since the comic ended with Silver being stuck in the past with Mogul only telling him he watched the world fall, so imagine how Silver would react to seeing or hearing about the evil deeds that Mogul did.
I'm sure Silver would understand Mogul was in a rough spot he came to regret in the future, the real question is whether this causes a self-fulfilling prophecy for the Mammoth or it manages to soften him up sooner than later...
I feel like out of all the Pre-Flynn villains, Mogul was just a black hole of entertainment. Even guys like Dimitri/Enerjak had some sort of presence or entertaining personality. It’s nice that Ian gave Mogul some cool stuff to do during his run, it just kinda sucks that it was done so late into the game.
I honestly like how this Mammoth is kind of a failure, he was once just a caveman who only managed to become so powerful mostly out of sheer luck and coincidence, not because he particularly deserved or earned it... and then he hungered for more, and while he eventually grew in power, he didn't grow much in his mind, where it mattered most if he wanted to use his power effectively, not even with millennia under his belt. Mammoth Mogul WAS clever and cunning, but he was unwise and stubborn, too focused on the pursuit of power and conquest for him to sit back and reevaluate his strategy, or even his very own values... in a way, getting trapped in that prison cell was one of the best things to happen to him, as it gifted him some time where he could do nothing but evaluate himself... while this would eventually lead to a life of regret in Silver's future, the sorrow Mogul feels is brought to him by the clarity of mind he lacked for so long, something he wishes he had realized far sooner.
Even more than just slapping Vandal Savage and Kingpin together for a new character, I'm surprised the sonic team looked at the super infamous Clone Saga and were like "we should do that with Tails" lol
I think what would have really helped this is if Mogul started out with most of his backstory concealed and he began as the Casino owner while having an underground deal with Robotnik such as providing the latter with resources in a more subtle way where the heroes can't properly track. I can even imagine a G.U.N scenario where they need some lost information from the Ark but Commander Tower has to put Rouge on a Mission Impossible routine to get it. Only for the Mammoth to have already sumized the result and instead offered her a job claiming he could make use of her talents far better than G.U.N. Rouge naturally will decline in her natural sassy way but durring the conversation, Mogul will mutter a specific date (I don't know what the Mobius time charts would be) which causes her to pause. He would simply request that if they wish to do business with him that they try to be more upfront about it. Naturally he would give her the information in exchange for lets say anything they have on Silver while indirectly reminding Rouge that what he knows can be kept hidden.
Since Mogul was based on Vandal Savage, his state in the future is likely based on the Justice League episode Hereafter where after Superman gets sent to the future he meets Vandal Savage who after causing an apocalypse on Earth became a remorseful hermit after having years to reflect due to his own immortality and helped Superman travel back to his own time
To me, it seems the only thing that’s consistent about Mammoth Mogul is that he’s inconsistent. When it comes to motives and especially powers. Although that last part where he reforms and becomes Silver’s mentor in the future does sound pretty interesting.
@FantasticSamtastic i swear hes like one of the best characters in the franchise. I already got like notes on a video I've been wanting to make on him for a while. The reason I like him is due to the fact it took Super forms to take him down, also his connection to Ixis is a cool recon also. I wish we had more orders of Ixis characters…
Honestly, even with all the inconsistent goofiness surrounding him . . . I still wouldn't mind a decently written Mammoth Mogul being the villain in Sonic 4, if he's available to use. He has story potential, especially with how the writers have handled the trilogy so far.
Mammoth Mogul really was an interesting villain; and one who went in a different direction compared to most other intelligent and/or immortal villains I've seen in media. Too bad he's gone. Thanks, Archie.
I think the idea of Mogul being Tail's archenemy more than anyone else is neat, especially since he seems like such a WILD character to be the archenemy of TAILS of all characters. A shame Flynn kinda dropped it to have him harass sonic (even though sonic only fought mogul like MAYBE twice at most). I think Mogul is a cool idea and FLynn leaning into making him more a schemer than a full on powerhouse was a good idea. I think what really hurt him was how Penders handled him, just having him be this verbose blowhard who would jsut try and make himself powerful and beat up everyone and then get defeated not only with relative ease with no back and forth, but often in humiliating ways that made him look foolish rather than scary (of course flynn couldn't help but to play into that too before the BIG MOMENT). I think it'd be really cool to have Mogul come back and really prove himself as a big bad on par with eggman. YOu jsut gotta have him WIN a bit more before you have him be defeated.
I wish we could have gotten more of a look at what would have lead to him becoming Silver's mentor in the future like have Silver meet him in the past, he's surprised at him being a villain, and Silver does something that plants the seed of him becoming a better person, and the story ends with 200 years older MM just finding a young Silver and start to repay the kindness given to him so long ago
The only time two Emeralds attracted to each other and would blow up is specifically a broken half-Emerald burrowing towards the Angel Island Emerald in the Triple Trouble special, and the 1&1/2 Emerald power would be unstable and destroy the island. But the key thing is that it’s the merging of a full Emerald and a broken half of an Emerald that explodes.

Did you made a vídeo about the Echidnas of Archie ou Julie-Su?
I am actually presently working on one covering all of Knuckles' relatives. I'm hoping to get it done this year, but that's about as specific as I can get lol
@FantasticSamtastic Even Jani-Ca? Or Lara-Su If I remember correctly
@extremeotakugamer lol yeah, I got a bit ambitious here, but it's every single relative including potential future ones. Though, if you're curious about Jani-Ca, I have a video on Dark Enerjak that covers her
Yeah mammoth mogol is such a disappointing villain and really not great in my opinion.
He has potential but the problem is that the ideas clashed with the games
@@chaossonic1237 true and you are right about that but remember the Archie comics themselves followed their own continuity apart from the games.
@ yah granted I was more into the games personally
@ I can understand and personally for me as well growing up I was more into the games too way more then the Archie comics.
Weirdly enough, I like Mammoth Mogul, or at least his concept. Being an immortal Mobian sorcerer not only serves as a contrast to Robotnik's human scientist, but his immortality is a reasonable explanation for why he can come back for future plots.
Archie sonic was weird
put him the sonic the hedgehog games
Mammoth Mogul it's best villain in The sonic comic by the way who should voice Mammoth Mogul if Mogul came in to a GAME OR Sonic The hedgehog Live action movie yes i Mean Ben Schwartz Jim Carrey Keanu Reeves Idris Elba Colleen O'Shaughne James Marsden Tika Sumpter Adam Pally
naugus was more of an embarrassing villain and a boring one than Mammoth
Naugus had his moments but yeah Mogul was the cooler of the two villains
@sarafontanini7051 Mogul is way better than Nagus, he's a joke.
Bro change your character your characters is look amy and delete these thing in the eyes in your character and change to sonic
Bro has had the character for more than two years and you think he'll change because "it looks like amy"?
He doesn't have to... it's his character he doesn't need to listen to you.
Nah
