I do enjoy your harvest videos. I worked the harvest for 3 summers back in the late '60s. My dad had a 1 combine harvest outfit in the late '40s. I grew up on his old Massey 21A combine. WOW what a contrast between either the 21A or the Gleaners I ran and the combines of today. A lot of the work is the same, just bigger equipment, cleaner, and more acres and more yield. Still long hours, but a good life. Keep up the good work.
I must say I liked what your mom said about listening to the machine instead of playing music. My dad always told me you need to listen to the equipment because any sound that wasn't normal to the operation, something was going bad. Great job that you and your mom do in running those machines.
Thanks for sharing your videos, feel like we are part of your harvest journey , look forward to watching the videos every evening, more entertaining than what is on tv😊
Anyone that posts hateful comments needs a slap Hayden, no need for it, keep the videos coming, from all of us in North Yorkshire... ps.. Mum's a doll.
Your mom is adorable. I know nothing about this type of work, but I love watching these amazing machines do their thing. You're a delightful young man and I love your videos.
Hayden , you are a awesome young man . Reminds me of when i was growing up . We farmed up til a few years ago and its the best life . Once you have it in your blood , theres no getting it out . Keep up the good work . I wish all young adults were more like yourself. Its nice to see hard working young people in todays world . Hats off to your momma and daddy . I think they did a awesome job raising you . Mom , your crushing it in the combine . Loved you taking the camera. I think you did awesome. Yall are well respected here in southern sc.
Hayden we really enjoyed your Mom I think she is going to be a great add to the camera she made it interesting love the dogs they are so cute thanks for taking us along
Not even sure how I came across your channel but I am hooked. My Dad was a custom harvester back in the day, Mom was head cook, laundry, accountant, you name it. Not even sure when I started driving a combine but way before I ever had a DL. We cut West Texas, A couple Ingalls & Quinter KS, Cheyenne Wells & Deer Trail, CO then had to get back to our farm for Milo harvest. You do an awesome job of documenting the day to day of wheat harvest. Look forward to you expanding the goings on. Yall be safe
Your mom did great on her first time running the camera, too bad her combine broke down. Hope to see more from her combine and maybe Cody and the grain cart.
Adaptive curves is one of the greatest features in John Deere AutoTrac !! And it's been a part of AT for a long time ! Very few operators ever wanted to try it, but for fields where the first pass had to be steered manually, because of irregular, changing from year to year, borders, that pass could be recorded and saved.. Then, subsequent passes can be steered with AT and "recording" turned on, as in the case with terraces.. If, in a field where the first and second, and even more, passes are the only ones with curves, such as when starting planting a square field where one, or more borders have clumps of trees or other irregularities, you would plant the first pass, and possibly the second, and third, etc. and then switch to parallel tracking for planting, or harvesting.. Thank you for being there and telling your story, its better than all the stuff on TV. Sorry to see your mom's break down, good job with commentary too. You need to call your friend Tracy ZeorIan as she needs tips on how to run a John Deere combine. Please help her out Hayden. Sorry to be so long. John T.
Congratulations Hayden, you have made some really good footage. I'm from the UK and watch at least 1 hour a day of farm related youtube and your stuff us right up there so keep up the good work and ignore the negative posts. Keep the positive energy flowing. Will you guys be moving on from Kansas to a new state ? Best regards to your parents, Cody and the dogs 👍🏻
What I’ve found is that the faceless haters don’t like it when others, like you, do a good job! So I’d take it as a positive, hit the delete button and keep doin what your doin. 5000+ can’t be wrong
We had a madon 40 foot and a johndeeee 45 both drapers. both brand new. We prefer the new deere headers. so we have two 45 foot deere headers. Very little issues. Macdon is also very popular. It’s just what people personally prefer. They all break down eventually. We trade every two years so break downs are minimal.
@@HaydenOnHarvest yea that’s what we are using. We would like to go to the 50 foot hinged but I think for how much straw we have we would need a x9 1100 for that head. 45 is about the max for our 790s
I'm down to 50 acres. Never have I cut this late in July. Rain has really sucked this year. Got another 1.3 inches this morning. Guess I won't get done till next week.
Hayden, I never comment on videos but as a subscriber from about 2 weeks ago, I am loving the growth and success your channel is having. When I was a kid, my dad helped a guy with the annual wheat harvest in NE OK. Your videos take me back. Keep making em. I hope someday you have a giant following! I'll definitely do my part of spreading your great content around! (Sorry for goofy graphic for my youtube id- my son changed it from my pic)
I have enjoyed your videos. I am from North Florida, but have driven across Kansas a few times. So, on the weeds, why are they having such problems with weeds in their wheat ? I have seen huge fields out there that look like the weedy fields on your videos. Do they just have to take a loss on those huge fields and try again next year ? I assume that whatever weeds those are will mess up the value of the harvested wheat if y'all were to just run through them.
I think you found that belt was getting bad a few videos ago, too bad it took out the hyd line , thats just MURPHYS way of saying it's break time for a while. Dang, I think your mom could pass for your younger sister............
I like your mom having the camera for awhile. It shows what you do from another point of view
Hi Hayden and Mom ❤️ You did a wonderful job Hayden's mom! As a mother myself, I applaud your raising of Hayden. He's a bright young man❤️❤️
@AureFreePress thank you! He’s a pretty great kiddo & we couldn’t be more proud of him!

Your mom did a great job on the short time operating the camera. Enjoy watching the videos keep up the good work.

No wonder your choppers are plugging. Holy shit it’s like silage in that plugged up chopper.
Weeds take the fun out of running a combine if they’re thick! And we’re still dry in Kansas! Hope fall harvest is better...
I haul combines so I enjoy watching you work them. You have good videos that show what costume harvesters do everyday. Keep up the good work

Mom is very entertaining while driving
Looking forward to more videos. Good to see your mom and Candy. And of course always live Dibs. Found out my brother also watches you!!!
I ran combines from 1969 through 2001, enjoy your videos🙂

Poor Mom, gets the camera and the combine breaks down. I hope she keeps filming and take shots of the 'rookie' mistakes that you make😊

That looks like fun to fix that on your mom's combine
Is there anything the farmers can do with the fields full of weeds? Greetings from Ireland. Keep up the good work!

Where you guys going after Kansas
Nebraska
@@HaydenOnHarvest that should be interesting. Hopefully the crops are cleaner there. That late rain really screwed up those Kansas tops of wheat.
Hello! I'm watching your video, have a nice day. I like your video❤
Mom was great. Did moms combine get fixed?
Yes
Were you guys going next your buddy from Nebraska

What happens to the weedy fields, can you show us by what you mean by to many weeds?
what model year are your combines? how many rotor hours?
Mine is a 2019, Moms is a 2020.
Hmm weird to be having belts break after only 3 years. our s760 is also a 2020.
@@Hermiwalle These combines run almost every single day 9 months out of the year haha things get worn out
how old is that combine how many acres on average can one machine cut

In the fall yes

Would love to join a harvest crew but I'm 74 so I doubt anyone would want me. LOL
You would be surprised
