Everyone gets to see all this equipment running the fields but very few knows how much work really goes I to keeping them running, great video keep them coming
Throw away middle floor piece, lay 1/4 inch plate over it all, bend front of the 1/4 sheet down and go underneath the front piece.. ....fore and aft will still work.
When we replaced feederhouse chains, we attached the new one to the old one and pulled the old one over the top while feeding the new one underneath. Seems easier that way
Love seeing these repair and maintenance vids. I work for United in Abilene so maybe I’ll run into yall one day if you need anything from the Abilene dealership. Keep up the good content!
Glad you didn't get hit with too much hail. The inch of rain was good though. We got an inch of rain and up to golf ball size hail in north central Oklahoma. Be safe.
I find your maintenance/repair videos fascinating. Such complex machines. Glad you didn't get the most extreme weather. Tennis ball sized hail was reported close to DFW. I can't imagine what that would be like. We are 98 miles southeast of you & got virtually no bad weather. Looking forward to wheat harvest. Stay safe!😊❤
With all that moisture and a nice wheat crop coming you guys will have to spray some fungicide on your winter wheat soon so those nice big flag leaves don’t get burnt off from the fungus
Working on combines was always a big challenge when I was farming. My family has been raising rice in se tx since 1921 has only been one green combine on the farm in that time. 105 jd. Rest have been some shade of red. Massy or international now case ih
keep the old chain when you put new chain hook it to old chain and it will follow it around , if it scips on sproket take a screwdriver and put between chain and sproket then reverse or forward spin it that will or you can adjust it that way i changed about 5 chains in my lifetime
Hayden, please tell your Dad I double dog dare him to go shirtless... Smile. You are becoming quite the cinematographer Hayden - well done. I was a faithful viewer last season and can't wait for the new harvest season to begin ♥️
I forgot to mention it on the last video but YT stopped for commercials 5 or 6 times!!!!! 4 times on this vid. Stay dry! I'm hoping we don't have another dry summer here. Thx again for your vids. You make us feel like one of the family.
@@HaydenOnHarvest I knew you had nothing to do with it. Perhaps it's an indication of your popularity! It won't keep me from watching. Glad you didn't have 3" hail. They had that in China last week. REALLY devastating.
Where is your mom's dog? Way to go Dibs on learning how to jump on the tire!!! We had bad storms here last night in central Oklahoma and all over the state. It was 73 here yesterday and in the 40s and 50s today!! The winter wheat looked good.
Was talking to a John Deere tech. John Deere is launching a x10 combine. It’s gonna have that new same engine that Deere 9RX engine that is 830 hp but the combine is gonna have more horsepower then that. Bigger hopper and other changes. Maybe you guys will run into one. That thing is gonna be insane. Deere is king
That would be cool to see one run! I wonder how much it weighs though. It’s hard to axle out these heavy combines on a combine trailer without going to a detached trailer.
@@HaydenOnHarvest I saw a crew of customers harvesters last year. They had 6 x9s each one was carried on a very large low boy. A normal combine trailer won’t cut it for the new one.
I couldn’t get things done with the pretty girl y’all hired to go on harvest with y’all. How does your mom fell about having a girl on harvest? Does she have her own trailer?
@mikefoley7561 …hey! Mom here! 👋🏼 ….actually, I hired a girl (Ag with Emma ) 2 seasons ago. She did great! The girl power in the field worked well. That year she was in the grain cart & I was in one of the combines. Living arrangements for girls on the crew do make it difficult, but that year it worked out. As most know, just finding someone that wants to work is the biggest challenge. Most people see clips of this life & think they have it figured out. It’s 15-20 minutes of our day. Some days it goes smoothly, others not-so-much. It does however take common sense & to NOT be directionally challenged!
The bosses daughter on the crew I went with went two years in a row. I got no problem saying she outworked most the guys. Emma seems like a very hard and smart worker.
Your'e dad is like a gentle giant, he does such a great job explaining to the young guys why and how.
Working on combines is such a pain. You guys really have a lot of patience.

It is and we normally do that. Although we needed the chain and the front drum to come out so we could weld a front plate on the floor :)
I remember when it was Johnson Dealership before United bought everything out..... Miss the old small family dealerships.
I’d say you have the editing software figured out. That was top notch!
Great video Hayden, here is wishing you and your family a very successful 2024 season in the custom harvesting busines
What happened to the engine rebuild on the semi truck
Bro you 2am editing is sick. Love it.From your 20 subs when you started to where you are is amazing.Hats off dude🎉❤
Wow. Harvest is certainly coming around quick for you guys. Doesn’t seem that long since you finished! Bring it on, I’ll be watching every video
Can't wait for this great 2024 harvest

Great video as always....keep up the good work and good luck on harvest!!
Doing a great job with the fixings. Hope you all had a Happy Easter too. Keep up the good work. 😊😊😊 John T.
The wheat looks good so far. The winter wheat will be heading out in no time.
With all that moisture and a nice wheat crop coming you guys will have to spray some fungicide on your winter wheat soon so those nice big flag leaves don’t get burnt off from the fungus
Yea that will definitely hamper crop feeding in the feeder house under the drum with the floor like that.
Great job you are all a class act. Thank you for sharing
Dibs is the best hes a real rock star looks like everything is coming together nicely thanks for the video Hayden

You should have replaced the feederhouse srockets as they are worn JD Tech
I have seen sprockets that look like ninja stars and still run… they are far from needing changed.

That’s what we normally do. But we had to take the chain and drum out to weld a floor in it.
Enjoy your videos. Your working in T shirts and up here in ND ground is still froze. Good luck on the harvesting this year

For me UA-cam is cheaper, but more importantly better entertainment than tv.
$13 per month is worth not watching commercials.

All this maintenance, hopefully will save a few breakdowns this season for y'all
It sure does help but it’s definitely not guaranteed haha
I remember getting the "A drift is made of brass because it's a softer metal" lesson .... Thanks for the flash back to learning from my Dad :)
I enjoy all of your video from harvest to maintenance glad to see cody this season
No def in the new x9s and x10s either. Which is sweet

Do you wax your combines? Helps keep black smut and heavy dust off. Blows off easier 🤷♂️

Thank you Hayden for these very interesting videos in preparation for the new harvesting campaign. Greetings from Italy! Ciao!
why it seams that every one leaves it to the last minute??
The longer you wait the less you pay on interest for parts.

Is marshmallow fixed Hayden?
Yes and no. The motor is put back in but is having some computer issues with the rpm being limited. I’m sure we will get it fully fixed soon though.
Yes I’m sure yall can get it fixed
I DARE HIM,🤣😂 LOL
