My view on lumber jacking is : a) If the tree hits the ground without taking out something important and b) You finish with the same number of attached body parts you started with then c) You done good.
Wow what a line of JD eguipment. I used to spray with a 1966 chevy c20 pickup 200 gallon tank and do 20 acers at a time. Wow times have really changed. Thank you ZAC.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Years ago my cousin stocked his own "hardware store" at his farm. Once his neighbors found out they would all stop by and ask for "just one bolt so I don't have to drive all the way to town". He got rid of it all after a year of that.
Zach I just want to say how much I love your videos! My house Burned down Saturday night and we lost basically everything we had. As we pick up the pieces, this video made my week with the ability to watch and kinda take my mind off of things! Thank you Zach!
I bet if you had looked around that tractor enough you would have found a Larson Farms sticker on it. Chet loves leaving a sticker somewhere when they trade or return equipment. 😂
Assortments like that are so awesome. My dad's been building ours up for 20 years from what's now "Applied". We have a small engine/saw shop, dairy farm, and restore old tractors.
A factroy engineering department we contracted at (in a sweet factory in uk).. had a room full of spares and bolts and stuff - all barcoded and when you went and got a bolt or part you required - the computer system logged it then replenished it when the company deleivered new parts )usually the company that managed the parts room, called weekly or every day if they needed the parts).. point being >it's amazing having all you need in one spot!
Zac you and Sam could have a comedy show. Its more and more every time you guys get together. I can't imagine what goes on when the Camara is off. Thanks 😊
From the gorgeous weather to getting the farm ready for harvest, this video really captures the hustle and beauty of farm life. That Mac Daddy hardware setup is impressive!
I admire your commitment to family by keeping a balanced life in which you make time for family events. When young people ask me for tips on how to have a successful career, I always say establish boundaries in an effort to maintain a balanced life. I've seen too many ignore the other facets of life that make it whole.
Thank you for promoting LNMT. Recently here in Western NC we had some hot, dry weather. I was making hay one week & then the next week we were doing some asphalt repair on the farm and for a neighbor (I shoveled 6,000 lbs of asphalt from the bed of my dump truck). At 73 yrs old, I was having major hand and leg cramps. LMNT was just what I needed to stop the cramps immediately. So thank you for a great product.
There’s a farmer in my area who has the new 715 and they use it on their 90 foot air seeder and their speed till. They ran a 620 on both last year and compared from last to this year they said it was nice, the engine wasn’t screaming when they pulled on some hills, it was quieter burnt less fuel the rpm’s dropped and was smooth, yes there’s a huge as price tag and a hood the size as a kitchen table but for what they are doing with it it’s great, anything bigger would be over kill at that point
I was ready to move on when you got to the non-farm part of the video, but I am glad I kept with it. I enjoy seeing the new farming equipment. I am a computer sales engineer who has never been on a farm but really like the content. This actually was an added bonus because of the equipment.
It was 85 at 10:30 this morning in Katy Texas. While that may seem hot for you northern guys it's a harbinger of fall here in South Texas. And the humidity was relatively low as well...at least for South Texas.
Whenever I do tree felling, i never forget my plaid jacket. A buddy who had no plaid was lucky he was wearing chaps because he nearly took his leg off with his saw. Me, i ditched them a day in, and still have all my limbs 😂
I grew up logging with my grandpa and his checklist for a successful felling was as follows. Did anyone die? Did it fall on something it wasn’t supposed to? Did it damage the lumber potential? If you answered no to all of those questions then you did an acceptable job. You could always do better but that was the minimum viable checklist.
I was pulling a 13 shank ripper with a 8640 or 8650 deer nò problem at all and I had Molbored twisted shu version 😂😮❤ loved it zake try next time with the shuvels
Thanks for a most interesting video that was fun to watch!!!!! Good to see Sam again. Quite the person. First. Thanks for talking about the lmtn?? Which is the Fluid Drink you use to hidrate you in the hot weather. Have heard it is good stuff. Cutting trees down. The DOGS tell me you did a great job at it. Easy way to get rid of it by pulling the cut tree to a tree 🌳 pile. Good work Zach and dogs. The hit of the video is the nut and bolt assortment you got!!!!! Now that is really handy thing to have on the farm instead of having to go to town to get something. How nice is that. Nuts, bolts, electrical, cotter pins, and on and on. Really like that and you can pick the size of the kit you want for your operation. How nice is that. Super nice system Zach. Home run on that!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Next is Sam and the mini John Deere show for you only Zach!!!!! Now how nice is that. That big tractor had 954hp I believe Sam said. That is a LOT!!!!! Wow!!!!!’ Amazed. Lots of big equipment there. That new X9 combine is a beastie!!!!!!! Wow. Lots of new features on that combine nice for the farmers. Beautiful piece of machinery. Thanks to Sam for letting us look around. Good video Zach. Was most enjoyable!!!!! The Iowa farm boy. Steve. 😊👍🙏💕🇺🇸🇺🇸
As a county worker i can appreciate the batwing in the ditches. I dont know how it works in tinypop but north central ohio we run the county 2 times and all maintenance ditches once in the warm seasons
New 9rx you have to use out riggers on lowboy there is no half or quarter track on trailer so you don't have to use them out riggers an boards. But you have to use them with that beast!
It’s 95 degrees in Southwest Nebraska today, breezy with a chance of rain tonight. Nearly every piece of new equipment has metric bolts, not my preference but what can you do except purchase metric wrenches and socket sets!
Too good, almost 76% hilllarious. Who knew there was a fifth Gen fastner guy, like no way. The look on the dog's faces while in the ranger never gets old.
Love your videos. This past weekend I was vintage Mx racing in eastern WA. Rattlers Run if you care to look it up. I'm sure the farmers around there could use 900+ horsepowers pulling grain carts up and down the hills. Holy cow, those hills must be 30 percent grades.
Wall of hardware is great. Sure beats the old fashioned coffee tin can nut and bolt supply. Nice new tech machines maximizing field production, future farming is exciting.
I'm not a green equipment guy, but Sam and Sam could get a guy looking. It's good to see OEM 's learning from the aftermarket. Also, I've been trying to get my employer to look into bolts and nuts. They have an amazing business. Quality with ease of use.
Hayden runs McDon headers, which work really well. They are now in North Dakota working with a farmer who already has four of his own combines with brand new John Deere headers, which are giving him a Lotta trouble. It’s interesting that the new AF 11 case I H combine runs a McDon header even case H has figured out that McDon has the better header.
The big black lever is the spool valve. Different ground and conditions mean you need to set it differently. Like you watched and learnt the jcb this is the same, watch when Richard and tom , when they adjust thing and look at the ploughing you have done and see the difference. My eyes would always be out the back watching the furrows most of the time.
John Deere now made in Mexico? Sam may not be a subject matter expert but he is humerus to watch. Robby Layton Nation has one of those Nut and Bolt units in his auto body and fabrication shop. It’s really nice to have what you need on hand rather than frequently running to the local hardware store. Plus having it stocked with the types of pieces your application most often needs makes it really convenient. How many times do you run to the hardware store and they don’t have what you really need so you have to make do with something else? You’re gunna love it! 😍
I would love to come help during harvest ! I’ve got some health issues but I try to keep going and I would make the drive from Arkansas to go help with harvest! Been a dream to do it on a big scale but I only have 7 acres but I’m thankful that I have it!
I live in Colorado at 9000 Ft in the mountains, I'm sure you don't need it but we mitigate our trees. Just cutting all the branches up to 10 feet from the ground. It should prevent the browning of the needles on top of the pine trees and torching of the trees during a forest fire.
My view on lumber jacking is : a) If the tree hits the ground without taking out something important and b) You finish with the same number of attached body parts you started with then c) You done good.
i agree
Yeah, until you become a cripple and burden to society. Then you whine about safety or whatever.
The way you proactively shut down those who want to constantly correct you made my day.
Gonna make it simple, you did something wrong.
Only thing I see wrong is he used a Husqvarna. 😂😂😂
“When you mow these ditches it makes the road look wider.” I see what you did there.

Bugger up a few of the threads and put a mark on those. Put those in the "Free" bin.

Sorry to hear that. I lost my house in 99 to a fire. Only the clothes on our back basically is what we saved.
There is a fire in my pants
It's gotta suck to be you😢
Ouch. Hope the insurance is treating you right. Friends lost their house and car this spring, and they’re still dealing with insurance.
It is great to see an expert farmer who is outstanding in his field.
I bet if you had looked around that tractor enough you would have found a Larson Farms sticker on it. Chet loves leaving a sticker somewhere when they trade or return equipment. 😂

We here in Indiana just started cutting beans! And the beans are producing! I hope you guys have a great harvest as well!
Kibble Sam didnt just invite one person . He invited a million followers
My uncle had a wall of ice cream gallon buckets growing up, love the nuts and bolts setup.
The dogs will be telling their friends about the giant stick that was chasing them😂

The comedic chemistry between you and Sam makes for great videos. Hopefully, you continue dealing with in the future so we get more of it.
I miss the days of off the husk. The episodes with Sam & Randy were a riot. Hope it returns one day.

What exactly is a computer sales engineer? Do you design computer sales or is just that a name for the guy selling computers in Best Buy?
It was 85 at 10:30 this morning in Katy Texas.
While that may seem hot for you northern guys it's a harbinger of fall here in South Texas.
And the humidity was relatively low as well...at least for South Texas.
and the fuel there is getting cheaper
Thank you for posting about Bolts and Nuts. Those drawers are exactly what I have been looking for.
For $10,300 you too can have one delivered to your driveway.
BENNY YOU NEED TO GET A LIFE
The bolt shop is going to make you popular with the neighbors. Love it.
As a Canadian the only piece of chainsaw safety equipment I see missing is the plaid shirt. Maybe it's just a rule here 😉

He got mad when dude was saying daddy 😂
That bolt kit is bad ass! Love it
You create those huge piles of organic materials to provide cover for the animals, that is so nice of you.
Make great rabbit cover, and rabbit is quite tasty in the winter . . .
Not saying,

That bolt assortment will come in handy. Don’t forget to reorder, 😆
Think about some hydraulic fittings and a crimper? Seems like hoses are always breaking.
