- In this season of Space Haven, we attempt to do a Downton Abbey challenge. In which I have to run a second ship full of WEALTHY ELITES who refuse to do any kind of work whatsoever.
This indie game comes from a VERY successful Kickstarter, and it looks like it could very well be one of my FAVOURITE new games. It reminds me of Firefly, in ALL the right ways. I hope you enjoy our SPACE adventure, come along with the team!
Embark on a space voyage with your ragtag crew of civilians in search of a new home. Build spaceships tile by tile, create optimal gas conditions, manage the needs and moods of their crew, encounter other space-faring groups, and explore the universe in this spaceship colony simulation.

Early game struggle is the best. Good start with a nice little ship. And you built it very fast - looks like you are a pro in the game.

I don’t do any pirating till later on. It’s way to game breaking and defeats the purpose of the difficulty. Even just looting one ship boosts you right into the mid game especially if you get good guns.

For building a ship in brutal: Airlock, tools facility, core, energy, heaters and oxigen generators first. Otherwise you wast hull, infra, energy and tech blocks.
perfect checklist off the top. I was playing on easy mode in my head, not thinking about the damage to core systems and wanting to max energium usage
i should try this but i would make a cruise ship and the passengers would be seperated from the working parts of the ship
yesss, that's actually also a great idea. Could just lock doors... but how to get them food... I wish there was a pipeline service type thing. OR a way to make a door only accessible by one or specific crew members

How would you expect human-sizes spiders to hunt if they "run" at human walking speed and don't even make spider webs?
So something that just occurred to me and I'm not sure because I'm not fluent in space Haven couldn't you just make a basic ship it'll minus the recycler and other things that are needed for a full-fledged ship and just go to another system mine it out and you know read derelict ships for all their scrap and then come back to this system and go back to this mine base Moonbase whatever the hell it is and make everything and make the ship bigger I just do that over and over and over again until you got the ship you want? Or does the game prevent you from coming back here?
No you absolutely can! Basically, when you leave the sector, it prompts you to abandon it, but it is reclaimable. The thing is: It costs energium/energy rods to power the base up again, if you leave, make sure to turn off the generator. Every time you come back, you will need to power it up, and eventually supply water and fuel to the various generators while also maintaining your ship's systems. Then you will also be spending hyperfuel or hyperium to get back and forth to the base. So while it is definitely doable, you may find you start to run low on fuel while running the loop.
