- This indie game comes from a VERY successful Kickstarter, and it looks like it could very well be one of my FAVOURITE new games. It reminds me of Firefly, in ALL the right ways. I hope you enjoy our SPACE adventure, come along with the team!
Embark on a space voyage with your ragtag crew of civilians in search of a new home. Build spaceships tile by tile, create optimal gas conditions, manage the needs and moods of their crew, encounter other space-faring groups, and explore the universe in this spaceship colony simulation.

What's next for the game before it releases on steam? Is Station mode available? Or will ships naturally come to my vessel to trade anyway? My plan is to make a MOTHERSHIP, where all my manufacturing will be, then I'll have smaller runabouts! AAAH, I love this.
@@SolidContent We're now trying to determine if the game is starting to be ready for a Steam Early Access release. =) There's still lots we will implement, the starmap is in its infancy basically. Station mode was a stretch goal in the Kickstarter, along with many other cool stretch goals. I love this. I LOVE the active devs on some of these truly amazing indie games!! I saw on that site that you had "station mode" as "unlocked" so I wondered if that meant you were shipping with it.

After reading that lore bit, it’s clear your ship should be named The Solid Investment
OMG, too true. But the problem is, Solidia sounds more like a name for a ship like "The Rocinante" from The Expanse.... BUT "Solid Investment" sounds way more like what people name their boats nowadays.... hmmmmm

Whoa, super long episode! I have to say that the aesthetics of this game are super cool. I love the dark and neon look of it all! I also like that, when building your ship, the game provides a kind of template/sample (in the form of the Marguerite) for you to get ideas. The soundtrack was also super chill.
I will admit, I was also worried for Michael and Mr. Different when they explored the CS Indefatigable. (Actually, those even SOUND like proper Star Trek crew names....!)
Can't wait to see what comes next. Everything looks super customizable, and I like how the crew members actually have working relationships! I wonder how that will work if/when your crew gets larger?
I see episode 2 is already out, so I'll be checking that out soon. 'Til then! :)

SO MANY OPTIONS! But at the same time, it looks super fun. I wonder if you can get to a level where you can make multiple levels to the spaceship...? But while there is a lot to do, I'm sure the Solidia will turn out wonderfully. :)
OMG several floors in the ship would be AMAZING. Then you could have turbolifts and the like! Aaaah!

But also, full disclosure, in my regular life I am QUIte vulgar... but have been toning it down a bit, because the wifers don't like it - also hearing myself in recordings sounded a little... extra, like I was trying too hard. OOH maybe I'll make a members stream that is JUST swearing for us! haha

Thanks Sheerpwnage! Yeah, I emailed them and they straight up emailed me back! One of the devs said they fixed it and to update steam to get the patch. Other platforms will follow shortly. UNFORTUNATELY, I already rebuild my progress in a new save haha, so I'll just play the new save I made.

hahah QUINNIE, glad you found it - welcome aboard. Interestingly, because it's an early access game, it is constantly changing - and NOW, if you play it, you won't need to lay out an electrical grid! It has been overhauled - looots of interesting new stuff since this video!!

I loved this play but when you were salvaging your ship i kept seeing O2 running out and i was getting stressed for your people.

Be nice set up carpet for medical living storage cause could put in carpet then walls etc next order how much stuff you need cause my crew working but hard keep them task you want to save time or water etc
Put med Bay right new to airlock then multiple locked door in case get boarder maybe 2nd long way away
Going try only use oxygen in certain areas we if more feasible
MAthew! That's a good strategy, and will help with needing fewer oxygen generators!! Sadly this episode came out a long ways before adding carpets... can't wait to put them in my new ships

Couldnt you just build a second floor when you tabbed? And just block in the space for hallways with walls to link the other areas?
OMG I wISH, but so far as I know, there is not a second floor option yet.... but what IF THERE IS ONE DAY? I swear, each update they do to this game adds another layer of awesome, so I wouldn't put it past them!

Gave this one a try, but not my cup of tea... It seemed like I was gonna love it: pixel art, nice music, space exploration with X-Com vibe to it and all, but the game went overboard with micromanagement and it to me the game became too overwhelming with a gazillion of options and menus and submenus and items, too much...
haha I get you! If it's not your vibe, and the amount of stuff you have to do feels like chores, then definitely give it a pass! I hope I play something on this channel that you LOVE one day! thanks for watching all the same.

Oh YEAH, I was meaning to check that one out. I saw a lot of nasty reviews tho... Is it good? Should I check it out?
@@SolidContent If you enjoy Space Haven than absolutely. Bad reviews are because of how Double Fine treated it. They got black listed by a lot of people after that fiasco.The game is great though for what it was and where it was going. You will instantly see the connection, it's obvious they pulled a ton of inspiration from SBDF9. Might want to check out the mod from Derelict Games if you grab it. It fixes a ton of the annoyances and adds in some extra content.
