I've never seen a non indigenous Australian represent our country the way delta did. (Kylie minogue, John fahrnam or any of our local artists for that matter), deepest RESPECT for delta, and the the way she finishes at the end,by giving gurumul the applause goes to show how humble she is when she deserves to be applauded for learning the yongu language .👏👏👏👏 that wouldn't have been easy for her.R.I.P. gurumul
This song seems to bring more emotional to me and how greatful it is to watch no matter what colour we are and in inside is everything same thanks delta to be with my grandfather and I'm proud to be Aboriginal 🖤❤️💛

Unfortunately in a referendum asking whether we should allow First Nations people to be consulted when the Government makes decisions about them, and would not have even been binding. Yet 60% of Aussies voted NO even though First Nations people have lived in Australia for past 60,000 years, making them the oldest continuous living indigenous culture in the world. That’s how racist & bigoted the majority of Australians are, they decided ‘why’ should indigenous people be given ‘special treatment’ despite the fact we stole their land, massacred them along with other inhumane treatment toward them over the past two hundred years. It’s shameful on so many levels and we can only hope in future people will look back in embarrassment at our behaviour.
Gurrumul was Australia’s most influential and important indigenous voices and combined with Delta its absolute brilliance. An musicophile’s answer to perfection.
I'm Samoa but when I listen to gurrumul I feel the mother tung God bless gurrumul the aboriginal people and all those that love peace. May the grace of God be upon all ove us. Look for peace and you will find it.
I cry for this beautiful first Australian native man. It is with the greatest sadness of heart that I acknowledge his death. God's richest blessings be with you. Thank you for your music and the scenes of your homeland that you so genuinely depict in my mind and heart. Delta has the voice of an angel. What a perfect performance. Thank you to all concerned.

I found this in 2016 and have listened to it over 300 times. I love Gurrumul but, I think Delta is the most underratted performer out of Australia. She is phenominal and watching her work with winners like Alfie Arcuri in 2016 on the voice just seals the deal as an amazingly talented musician that we in U.S.A. would never get to hear if not for UA-cam! Who is watching in 2023?
Immediately after a few tunes when Geoffrey starts I get goosebumps, my eyes water and I feel like being beamed directly down under and recall the spirit what it's like to be there. This is magical. I encountered Gurrumul during my travels in Australia, got his CDs there, listened to his music there and he is always bringing me back there. RIP Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu. So sad he passed away already. Delta matches just perfect. Best regards from Europe. God bless you all. Peace for all of us. 🖖🏼

I played this for myself, and so magical got my husband to listen as I played it again. We're in our 80's and feel we have rarely heard anything more beautiful. Two wonderful representatives of our beautiful country.

England was invaded and its people slaughtered multiple times over history.Invasion is a human thing...not a British thing. Stop playing the victim and move on.
This would be one of the most moving duets I have heard. Delta obviously acknowledges Gurrumul's superb range and tone. What a great way to show that aboriginals have talent ; aren't dumb and second rate citizens as in some people's minds and the skills that Gurrumul shows - playing the guitar left handed as well as being blind is beyond amazing RIP Geoffrey
How she isn't more popular in the U.S. I will never know. I am a true delta fan from a small town in Kansas. It's sad how people like me can see her in concert. She deserves so much more love from us. I'm only 15 and I have a special connection with her music. My wish is to see her in concert.
+Haley Carrell I would travel anywhere in the US to see her. She isn't as popular here because her recording company waits a year before it is released to ITunes and there is virtually no promotion. It also seems like all her VIVO videos are taken down in a few months. It is frustrating to be a fan in the states - I am grateful to all the Aussies who put up her music and other work.
It's sad tbh as an Australian I'm curious as to why she receives little recognition or attention for such beautiful songs and its seems like she deserves so much more publicity
Haley Carrell I hope one day you get to go to her concert. I've been twice and not only are her performances just incredible but she is the most down to earth, humble and kind soul when she's talking to her audience. And she's hilarious! Love her ❤️
This has to be my all time favourite of Delta. The way she harmonizes with Gurrumul and the heights her voice reaches.
