RENDERED PORCH BUILDING THE BLOCK WORK ..WE BUILD ALL OF THE BLOCKWORK CAVITY WALLS INCLUDING THE CAVITY WALL INSULATION.
WE ALSO INSTALL 6 4 X 3 CONCRETE LINTELS ON THE PORCH, WE ALSO INSTALL ONE OVER AN EXISTING WINDOW. FINALLY WE BUILD A SMALL TEMPORARY STEP FROM ONE COURSE OF ENGINEERING BRICK AND A COUPLE OF CONCRETE PAVING SLABS...ENJOY

how do builders get away without lintels if the house came down i wonder what would happen ,and the uncovered brick work on that house makes it look a few hundred years old thanks for the video

Without the aid of Acrow Props to support all the weight above, how is it even possible to remove 5 stretchers without the wall falling apart? ... is it because is next to the corner that you don't need to ?

I imagine, building this porch is not cheap for the customer, for such little gain in space. Would making it bigger not gain more space in relation to the overall cost? Or is it restricted by council as to the max size ?
Not allowed to just build waht you loke on the front of your house, strict rules plus everything is expensive nowadays 🧱👍🏽
What rule defines the cavity width on this job, the as house spec? I ask because its not the current width of new builds? Plus>did we miss the slab pour between vids?
We’ve kept the cavity to a minimum for room .

I like concrete blocks ,but you will never achieve a good u value laying them inside .
They ain’t concrete blocks
The structure is a porch, and not a habitable room, so "good" U-values not so critical as would be the case on a new extension.
Also please do check what type of blocks they are, and that will then give you an idea of the achievable U- value.
