Can we just pause for a moment and acknowledge Rick's WISDOM!! Each time I listen to this podcast, he drops some serious gems and that's much appreciated. I truly value his insight. Aside from the jokes, he seems like a person who may not say much, but when they do speak, it's something you want to listen to. Big shoutout to you Rick!

Oh yes, when I was going through a miscarriage my husband pushed his feelings to the side because he thought his feelings were invalid. Almost 3 years later, he still thinks and believes that he doesn’t deserve to grieve since he wasn’t carrying and didn’t go through what I went. This happened to him too and I have to remind him that it’s okay to feel your feelings.
I can’t emphasize enough how good this episode was and I gotta show my husband this one as well.

also i love how rick knows exactly who he is and what he wants. he’s so big on communication and considerate of other ppls feelings and how they were to receive it. he just seems like an all over great friend to have, if he ever decides to have a kid, i feel like he’d be such a great father! validate that yes you are a man, yes you have a responsibility of taking care of your family etc. but that it’s also okay to express your feelings other wise your other half doesn’t know.

When I had a twin miscarriages alot of people totally forgot about my fiance. We both had to talk about pain of losing twins. To see my fiance go through this and it was his first. Took it hard, then we both discussed about having another child. Now we have a beautiful daughter. He loves her so much.

Yo Rick was on point with literally everything this whole episode. I’ve always felt that way Rick… obviously not all women but the majority are brought up that way. When I hear men talk about a woman they love they speak about who she is as a woman. On the other hand, its far more common to hear how a man is treating her or what kind of lifestyle they are able to live bc of all the things he has to offer. You fall in love with someone’s personality. You marry someone’s character. Which Nikki kinda said in her follow up.

As a man especially a father having a good support system is extremely necessary but unfortunately a lot of men don’t have that. So you guys speaking for men and shedding light on these issues is what we need. Great episode y’all need to extend these another hour 🙏🏼😂

The whole power dynamic between couples in a relationship because of financial status is definitely a really hard challenge to overcome. I've seen it play out with my parents. My mom was the bread winner and my dad wasn't but my mom wanted him to be. They hated each other.

57:43 hit home for me. My husband and I lost our son in 2020 and there was such an outpouring for ME for losing MY son and it made me feel like I couldn’t grieve at home because my husband “had” to swallow his grief to support me. We honestly never discussed it (because he asked me not to bring it up to him and I wanted to respect him). We’re better now and have silently been each others rock which brought us together but at the same time, stuff like this rips families apart. It’s so sad we, as a society, don’t check in with and support men the way we do women especially after the loss of a child.

Amazing episode ♥️ I feel like people in general really be in their feelings too much and they gotta take a step back. Because I see that a lot and noticed that in my past self, what it comes down to is literally stop with assuming and not thinking what you're doing to make this situation this way. EVERYONE IS GOING THROUGH SOMETHING. It's not a competition. People like to only focus on themselves and what people are doing to them but not stepping back and looking at all the aspects of the situation. Maybe you had an attitude because you're not communicating and not seeing it or listening to what the situation is. There's time and place AND TONE! Empathy and compassion goes a long way. I just wish more people realized people all deserve that shit, regardless of gender🤷🏻‍♀️

I watch a board certified dermatologist on youtube (Dr. Dray) and she says that you don't really need to scrub, but rather the running water and your hands are enough to clean skin unless there is visible dirtiness on your skin. She also says body soaps often times aren't good for your skin and dry you out and towels/cloths/loofas are too aggressive on your skin. I still use body soap, but just an interesting perspective I've heard. I will say when I stopped using towels/cloths on my face it calmed down the redness.

One thing I learned from a couple I absolutely loveeeee who have a yt channel: Josh & Isi. They have “Miami moments” which is a code word for a serious talk that needs to be had where you say the real $hit and you’re letting them know it’s not meant to come off mean, it’s just for the better that it’s said on the real & not sugarcoated. It can happen if it’s in the middle of something going on like a moment where you feel something needs to be addressed absolutely right then regardless, or just a moment that needs a real straight to the point type of talk if it’s built up and there’s been no progress made without the speaking up. So I’d thought I’d share it in regards to the ending comments yall spoke on. It seems like a good tool to help with communication for those who don’t do well with “confrontation” cause that seems to be where the issue stems from sometimes, which is the negative connotation behind being ‘confronted’ when it’s really just a sit down that needs to be had, which should help not hinder.

About expressing what you feel to your woman. If it's something serious or if she is also sensitive and she feels bad about it or whatever then the focus goes on her feeling and you gotta support her through it and at the end of the day your problem is left to the side. So most times it's better to take the -2 and keep it than saying it and having -4.
