People make hours and hours long series trying to give “marriage advice” just for their videos to be of no benefit, sometimes couples facing issues will consult a councillor or something, pay them a lot of money waste their time talking to them, just to get no results and end up getting divorced. But this shaykhs 2 minute clip has such a powerful message, حفظه الله Islam has the solution for all our issues but when will we take all our affairs back to the Quran and Sunnah? This advice could save marriages by the will of Allah تبارك وتعالى

Exactly alhamdulillah thats why as muslims we should invest our most time in researching quran and sunnah and lives of sahaba to find the truth and knowledge so that we end up with the marriage our prophet is talking about a paradise in this world
With ever rising divorce rates among Muslims, this is excellent advice. The youth need to hear this.
Even if they would hear this, their to busy on social media waisting time and busying themselves with the latest phones and apps. May Allah rectify us and them.

Many in the comments had fallacies. They did not understand what the Sheikh meant by ignoring and overlooking mistakes.
The intention is to overlook the annoying things in ordinary life matters, such as neglecting household duties and children, improving food, forgetting tasks, and so on. The most important misfortunes that should not be overlooked are matters of religion, whether the husband or the wife.
Here, the couple must advise each other and enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong using all gentle methods first, then escalate the pressure, as is Islamically permissible. You have to understand the difference between religious and worldly matters.

@@mshamun7514 household duties is cleanliness. Its fine. If she does not clean the whole house every day. Children clinging on to you that you cant even poop or pee, makes it difficult to maintain house. But upbringing of children cannot be neglected.

And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a mercy to the worlds

No man is capable of overlooking every fault of a person and only seeing the good.
Even the Prophet (sal Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa salam) advised his wives when they went wrong...
Either this advice from this scholar, or the translation, is wrong.
There is more to a relationship than the words shared by this scholar.
But perfection "El kamal" is only to God, how is the third part even possible? I say the second is best, as the hadith says: The best of things is in the middle "Khayro el omori aw'satoha".
There should be a separate platform dedicated to marriage. Marriage is the basic building block of the Ummah. Shaytan respects him the most who is able to cause divorce between man and his wife. So there could be a group of muslims who work to strengthen this institution. Online, if it is more feasible. Educating young and old, new and born muslims about husn-al-zann, overllooking mistakes, prophetic ways, rights and responsibilities of man and his wife over one another, intimacy, masculinity, feminity, and everything which would strengthen a marriage

May Allah guide muslim brothers and sisters. Often online muslim sisters have fallen pray to kufr of feminism, where they deem themselves perfect and dont take responsibility of their own actions, and blame every living muslim man on earth, and some even go to the extent of saying non-muslim men are better than muslim men in dealing with spouses. Even though how can a kafir be better than a mu'min? How can a person who commits the greatest of sins be better than the one who believes in Allah and does not do shirk? And in dealing with spouses, most non-muslim men are adulterers who have slept with so many non-muslim women, and prostitutes, and even they fornicate over and over again during their so called marriage. How can such a man be better than a chaste muslim brother?
Not just that, there is also a growing phenomenon of muslim brothers trashing and hating MUSLIM women. Speaking to and referring to them disgracefully, as if they are their slaves or something. And even go to the extent of choosing a kafir spouse from ahlul kitaab- a woman who has fornicated with 10s-50s and now a days to even a 100 men and say "oh we love her". No you dont love her, her nudity was the thing that attracted you to her. And these brothers leave muslim women, who are beloved slaves of Allah, to fall into fitnah.
May Allah guide muslims.

be pleased with another.”
[Muslim (1469)]
People of knowledge say, the people in application of this Hadith are three groups. Two went to extremes and were mistaken. One group took the middle path and excelled.
1. A man who only looks at the bad characteristics. So, whoever [only] looks at the faults and neglects the good, then indeed that man will never enjoy a marriage and his life will never settle. Rather his whole life is in misery. That is, if it were to continue upon that and not split.
2. The other group who were mistaken regarding this hadeeth is the one who weighs up the good and bad characteristics and he is wrong, but in reality, he is not completely wrong. Indeed. he is closer to that which is correct than the previous group. So, this man when he weighs up between the woman's good characteristics and bad characteristics he then deals with her in a just manner and this is not good.
3. As for the complete manner, it is he who looks at the good characteristics of his wife and he looks at those complete characteristics that she has and praises her and overlooks the rest. So, he is the most complete of the three.

@@SCALENE5 in summary no 2 is good but the husband is deficient as he looks at pros and cons and no3 regardless of the cons he overlooks them and care more towards her and also looks at his wife in a positive light. who ever strive this way will always think good of each other and you'll have a happy marriage by the permission of Allah.

Brother seems like you misunderstood. Firstly, the hadeeth being talked about mentions not to hate a BELIEVING woman and generally the believing woman is not going to be one who doesn't have any knowledge or interest of Allah.
Secondly, if there is such a woman as you describe then this is an extreme case which Islam has other ways of dealing with.

the fact you found and counted up to 99 problem would put you in category 1 and that is the extreme and bad thing to do , therefore the moment you saw one you should have strived to be from the balanced and we Allah to rectify our women folk and forgive them their short comings. We ask Allah to make us better husbands , better role model and make us balanced in the deen and forgive us for we too are in need of his mercy.

Overlooking every mistake of your wife will give her the green light so she will continue with behaviour that you are not satisfied with. Similar is with the kids. You let them do some things and they will come up with the worse ones later on. It has nothing to do with the believing women. If you don't remark many mistaked that she is doing, she will take it as a good thing and keep doing more and more, and thats where the most interesting part comes: you tell her about it, but you have the counter attack from her side as she dont recognize them as mistakes because you overlooked many things before.
I dont think he was referring to a woman making mistakes or behaving badly, he was talking about the general characteristics of a person that is a part of their nature and cannot be changed, for example a woman may be too talkative or short tempered. Of course if a wife’s behaviour is not appropriate or she makes a genuine mistake then she should be told kindly.
I'm not married but didn't The prophet Sallalahualayhiwassalam say the woman is like a bent rib and if you try to straighten it it will break and if you leave it, it will remain bent?
So basically saying enjoy your wife for how she is and do not try to straighten her too much
