good video! i agree with VKLiooon. as video games get bigger and more normalized, and as traditional gender roles shrink in power, we will see more and more women in pro esports. as (barely) a zoomer, we already saw more than from the millennial generation even if it still wasn't too many, I think gen alpha will be a huge injection of female talent into these scenes. it may be a long and arduous process, but those edges preventing women from wanting to compete will slowly be whittled down
Delusional excuse from someone who cannot see reality for what it is. There are no unique barriers women have to get into gaming. There are no boys clubs for teams keeping women out. All excuses because people cannot accept the fact that women cannot compete like men can. They have slower reaction times, poorer decisions, poorer execution. Its why even for non-physical events like e-sports and chess they make women's leagues because they simply cannot compete at the top. Teams are only interested in MERIT for the best chance to win. If money is on the line nobody is going to say no to a woman if she's truly as good as a man. We don't see them at the top because they can't reach the top unless its a girls only league. That's the truth.
love the spotlight on women in esports! i would have loved to have see Remi from the LoL Esports scene, even though that story might have been a bit too depressing for this video.
True, 50% of gamers are women but if you look at the type of games and platform you can see that they're lagging behind unfortunately when it comes to being "gamers" in the strict sense of the term
Although Scarlet is a female now, I am not sure if it really belongs in this category considering how before, she was a man (that being said, the transphobia might discreminate against her tho)
i think that the competition should be mixed like chess for example. even in the splatoon world championship there are mixed teams (there are other problems related to that topic caused by nintendo which i'm not gonna talk about). if there's no physical difference there should be no restrictions. i just hope that we won't have female teams like that league one, cause it was a big loss for the female gaming community there. the first ever solely female team to compete in league with a 34 record loss streak it's not the ideal example you wanna give the world when you want to implement the female category in esports. but unfortunately that's the one who people know the most. what i think they should do instead is letting females join males teams without them having to be in a full female team, so we can get same opportunity for both male and females players without them being relegated to a sub category that doesn't have the same revenue as the T1
i gotta say that comparing the payment of females to males in different sports does not make much sense. would you expect them to get payed the same if nobody watch the games? if there is no money in that market field then the athletes are going to get paid less, it's logical. i would also like that the volleyball players get paid as much as a fooball player but i understad which has the more viewership. what i would have highlited maybe is the difference of payment in a job position like manager or something along those lines. that's a real problem, cause if someone has the capacities to do their job correctly they should be respected and payed regardless of their gender. overall tho good video

Sheever the GOAT
Sheever really is the GOAT!
Sjokz is such a legend. Very inspirational person.
I'll also add Cuddle Core and Yuyu from the Tekken/FGC scene.
Came here for this comment
To be fair, it seems I see more women in the FGC playing Tekken than other games. I wonder what they find Tekken more appealing. Or maybe I'm wrong
Really good video, sheever is such an important part of dota. It was nice to see here!
Great video! However this list is missing Pansy, one of the best fps casters!
Great video :3 so happy to see Magi here

Sheever was a host at the two largest dpc events in 2023. She definitely was invited.
Women in gaming! Love to see it
This better include Lilsusie, Smix, and Sjokz.
edit: NO LILSUSIE? NO SMIX? Blasphemy.
at least i got 1/3!!!!!
Sheever! She's great. Also, what an awesome video to make
Good vid!

Sheever is also casting this year's dota TI *right now*. So no worries, she is still the Queen :D
damn, thought Lyloun would've made this on the back of her hall of fame induction.
Saw Sheever, peeked my interest ^^ Pretty sick women in this vid :D would love to see a woman among the dota pros players tho
this is so cool
Very nice video! I know WoW fell off but I want to highlight Naguura, multiple world firsts and one of the best moonkins in the world.
Excellent!
Awesome!
Potters my goat
Do any of them play blitz?
Amazing
Need to stop comparing themselves to men
✅ "Promo SM"

It is mixed, nobody stops girls from qualifying through open qualifiers.
