I'm an American foreigner of Puerto Rican background living in Pakistan. Pakistan is as safe as any other country. Hospitality is off the roof. Peaceful people. Do explore the northern areas like Hunza. You haven't seen beauty of Pakistan until you explore those areas.

Asias Tallest Cross which is over 300 feet high is also in Pakistan in Karachi. To be very honest, we never think about anyone being from another religion. I have Hindu fellows too and they even are fasting with us and making aftaar for Muslims. That's the harmony. One or two cases a year in a population of over 207 million people don't by any means tell you that it happens every day with every minorities population. The western media will keep on showing the negative news.

The percentage of Hindus in 1947 in the areas which today constitute Pakistan was 1.2 while the percentage of Hindus in East Pakistan (present day Bangladesh) was 22 percent. The percentage of Hindus in today's Pakistan is 1.8 percent according to the government of Pakistan while the Hindu leaders say that the population of Hindus is 2.2 percent. The population of Hindus in Bangladesh has declined from 22% to 9%. The Hindus population is 4 million at the moment which was merely 5 lac. It has increased 8 folds. Instead of all this propaganda, what if I tell you that the population of Muslims has decreased from over 97% to less than 96%. Instead of including the stats of East Pakistan in todays Pakistan, I would suggest you to please read some stats about the areas which today constitute Pakistan and ask Bangladesh government about the decease in Hindus population in Bangladesh from 22% to just 9% in mere 4.5 decades. We were crazy about it. and right in the middle they used to treat you with a "hate" speech "Jahan Numa"... you guessed it right...all about Pakistan. My mother used to say "Turn it Off, My God how do these people sleep at night with such hate in their hearts?...and now when you switch to their channel on TV, i bet you nobody in his right mind can stand it for more than a minute. it is sure gonna give you a heart attack. Yes we have many many Christians here. I have many in my workplace also. We eat together we go picnic together. They are perfectly fit in our society.
