We are Joe and Liisu, relatively new to UA-cam but really excited to be a part of this community. We live small and sustainably in my home on wheels (a lovely van called Freyja) and from time to time out of our backpacks (we have not named the backpacks yet). Turkish architect Vedat Dalokay designed the Faisal Mosque which has an unconventional design. It was selected after an international competition. Vedat Dalokay was also a mayor of Ankara in 1973 for 5 years. Have a nice trip in Pakistan.

King Faysal gifted the Faysal Mosque. It used to be the largest in the country & in the top 10 list, in the world but now the largest is being built in Bahria Town Karachi city u also must visit there & theme park will blow you!

News will always give negative impressions on places, it's the nature of news, to inform when things go wrong or something has changed. None of us should judge anywhere on the news as that's specific incidents in time. It's not that the media spreads false pictures of places, it's ourselves if we judge on that and don't look at other forms of media, like documentaries and UA-cam travellers like yourself to learn at least a bit about places.
Islamabad does look nice, not too hectic. I confess, I avoid too crowded places.

We have learned many times that our prejudice about countries have been totally wrong and as a traveler it is such a nice feeling to be proved positively wrong 😁😜.
Hahh, Yea, I (Joe) am the same, I try to stay away from crowds, but darn it has been quite hard in Pakistan and now India, but we'll show more of the crazy side of those countries in some of the next videos!

Only in Islamabad its clean. And in Lahore areas like Defence, Model town and Gulberg are clean areas. In Karachi Defence and some part of Clifton is clean. Come to Lahore and Karachi during winters and Northern areas during summer. The more you go to north of Pakistan the food gets more hygienic and less spicy

As a Pakistani I assure you that Pakistani people are confident and wish to show the world that we have not lost that spirit as a nation there is still much sassiness to the mix and that there is no such thing as a poor hungry Pakistan. However nationally we know why the media pushes you guys' horrible news of any calamity in Pakistan 24/7 and 365 for clout, clickbait, sympathy so for Aid. This is a deeply discouraged practice, however. And work is being done to keep that in control.
Pakistan is far from being a Paris or New York.
