Hey guys! I’ve been made aware of the technical issues at the end of the 19th tip. So sorry about that. Not sure exactly what happened as it is perfect on my computer. I’m going to be making a short with the 19-20 tips. My apologies! 😅
I like the technique used for patching jeans, i.e. matching thread, sewing in direction of weave, etc. Very helpful. I'm so glad you are back and truly enjoying the e-course.
I have learned so much from your videos and I have been a seamstress since I was a young teenager...and am 70 now! Yes, you can keep learning. Thank you!
I truly appreciate your videos! I learned the very basics in 3rd grade 4H. I was a nurse for many years. I made a change. I love it but it can be overwhelming! You are so helpful! I wish I could spend a day sewing with you! Thank you.
I use going with grain patches! Using color matching thread.. I've also used shades of gray thread to give a shadow effect! Save scraps "Golden Rules" for sewing! Following existing needle holds! My sweetheart bought me a clap on light/ magnifying light! It's ringside next to machine! Love Your Work Bonnie Ohio
Luv luv luv, all of your tips. When I watch your sewing techniques, I loose all track of time, because I get totally engrossed with what you are demonstrating. I love your channel so much. Please don't ever stop making videos. Thank you so much.😘😘😘👏👏👏
Very nice tips!! Reusing thread is a great tip that I could have benefitted from many times over. I also really like the idea of saving your hem scraps to repair hems. I recently had to extend the length of a pants and used flannel material to make a contrasting cuff on the edge of the pants. It came out nice, but not everyone wants a contrast color on their hem and having some hem scraps would have been nice. I've been buying clothes from Temu lately and I am finding that some of the items seem to be sewing mistakes or they are not finished very well. I had to fix a swimsuit from the crotch taking out 5 inches very similar to how you take up shoulder straps. Once that was taken out, the butt of the swimsuit was in the proper position with proper coverage, instead of looking like a thong.
I love all your tips, especially to keep the cut off portion on the jean legs. I have a problem with hemming skirts, dresses and pants. If I hem say one inch all away around, my garment will be shorter on one side. Any tips on how best to handle my situation…lol Thank you for all your tips and videos! 💕💃🏻
Hi! You might have a leg shorter than the other. It is important that you mesure both legs for your pants. And for your dress you should measure as it’s shown on the video from the floor and up. Cheers 🥰
Damn, you just lengthen them pants nice with that ribbon. I'm always finding pants that are good but too short. Imma have to try that. That's the scariest pin cushion I've ever seen.
This video has answered questions for me regarding past hem jobs. I see your chalk markings but I need to know if you are aligning your ruler parallel to the seam? If so, is that the reason for the back chalk line sightly slanted down?
Thank you! Great video. Question, where do you get the variety of biased tape? You had many colors and different widths but I have not come across a source that has that variety... thank you!
Have you seen that company Untuckit where they make guy dress shirts short enough to be worn out? Can you show a video on how to turn a dress shirt into one of those? Love the videos!
Another comment/request. I make a lot of my shirts and tshirts into v-necks. But I struggle with the "V", it gets winky, crooked, all kinds of stuff. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
Hello Ma’am, what is the best way to measure a pant for length when we are going shorten another pair. Should we measure the sample pant from inseam or outseam?
I precisely didn’t include a great tip I have for it. Anyway the following video will help you. ua-cam.com/video/hRl7fuNBNlY/v-deo.htmlsi=4PeznXDtmVUODOcz Cheers 🥰

Thanks for the tips, I need to make a better fit for a second hand skin that looks like was made from two camel colored jeans pants.

Ty what is the best serger thread? I do not like maxi.
i love all your videos, i always use the bobbin to change the foot too 😛
Love that! 😝🤭
I am your avid follower- for sewing machines, do you have any store that can recommend on its maintenance? :-)
For this, you can try to find a local mechanic. It isn't a good idea to ship your sewing machine. Good luck!
@@DowntownTailoring thank You..I found a Singer exclusive technician based in Ajax
@@mformee7691 good luck :))
hammer to beat down a thick seam! 🙂🙂🙂❤⭐🍇

The most important tip---PRACTICE
I think so! 🥰
The part where the blazer was shown to shorten it by using the pins on the inside is missing dear point 19
Also point no 20
Sorry about that. I’m not exactly sure what happened as our video seems good. Anyway, I’m going to post a short with both tips. Cheers 🥰
@@DowntownTailoring no worries . I just wanted to let you know as I enjoyed watching it 🤗❤️

when the legs are uneven. its not normal, its cheap manufacturing.
That’s right. Fast fashion has translated into poor quality. Unfortunately 😔
