love your amazing alterations ...you are very meticulous and very patient and obviously love what you do. I have some alterations of my own to do but not motivated to tackle some of them. please do a video on underarm gussets on a dress ...much appreciated. best wishes from South Africa
I’ve lost 60 pounds in the last 6 months and all of my pants are way too loose in me now. What a simple solution! This will give me more time before I need to buy new clothes (or make more advanced alterations). Thanks for the tutorial ❤️
I really enjoyed watching your video. I learned to sew in Junior High and made most of my clothes. Haven't done much sewing lately but am getting ready to alter a dress and thought I would see what UA-cam had to offer, what a happy surprise to find you .Thankyou!
Love how you showed the elastic in the dress and place the gathers in the front and not the sides. Also the last part with the pocket, just amazing how it looks brand new and no trace of a tear at all. Wonderful!
I really like that idea of marking 6inhes up the hem of a flaired pants. I never thought of it before.thankyou for so many great tips. Btw does this work with very flared evening dresses too? As sometimes when I mark to the floor than I lay it flat on the table the markings are up and down and I won't be sure which are the good marking or not.
Thank you! Im going to use the waist on a dress alteration today! I would like to see how you do the welt pocket. There are some on a coat I want to copy but that part isn't something I've done yet. There are some tutorials, however I like your common sense approach to different fabrics and how they actually behave. Happy new year to you and family! 🎉😊
I really enjoy watching you & your pace of walking through the instructions. I’ve seen some before that I won’t even watch because they just speak too quickly. Another way that I do my alterations is to have my customer wear the garment on inside out so as you mark, you won’t have to transfer to the inside because you’re already have it done on the inside of the garment. Thank you again for excellent instructions.
I really love listening to your videos while I work. My favorite alteration from this video is the dress with the elastic waist, but everything looks so nice!
My dear aunty, How lucky am I to find your channel ..... No sewing teacher had time and patience to teach these altering techniques..... which need a lot of skill , Spontaneity, smartness ...... Guide us with all your experience. One more thing.... What is your native country.... I am a passionate tailor Still learning new sewing jobs ... I am from India . God bless you
Great tips! I probably won’t use the pocket tip but it is interesting to see how you did it. I’ve patched ripped jeans the way you showed us before. They turned out really good. Tfs!
Thank you for sharing from I started watching your channel I have never been disappointed. Every video is so informative and skillfully executed. Even though I just watched this one I anxiously wait for the next one 👍🏽👍🏽
Thank you for sharing your knowledge! When you mention other videos, can you please link them in the info section? You mention a sewing trick but I don't know which video it's from
Thankyou so much. Im petite and I have so many dresses like this looks like garbage bag hangining on me would love some more tips for petite solutions.
Lovely video, I didn’t understand what is the 6 inch registration mark on the pants for and yes a video for that type of pocket would be great. Thanks 😊 keep them coming girl (videos) 🤩👍🏻
Downtown Tailoring - I spoke to you via phone regarding the curved ruler you used in this video. You told me to post a question in the comment section and you’d post how I can purchase the curved ruler. I’ve searched online but have not been able to find it anywhere. I appreciate your help in locating where I can purchase the ruler. Love, love, love your videos!!!!
Thanks!!! 🥰 Here you go the link for the ruler: www.cleanersupply.com/Tailoring/Measuring-Marking/Styling-Design-Marking-Ruler-21-12-X-5-45/#sku=TA28 Cheers 😉
Love all the three projects.... I was impressed with the last one... what a good tailors chalk you use... I have bought some that looks the same at J. But is not good. Where can I get one like your?
You’re videos are always so great and helpful. I mainly mend and alter clothes so I absolutely love your channel. I’ve learned so much! You lost me on the pocket though, can you do video on the pocket next time it comes up?
What kind of marking chalk do you use? It looks like the inexpensive waxy stuff that comes in several colors but mine doesn't disappear with heat the way yours does.
Great alteration tips; I will definitely be using them! What type of thread did you use on the stretchy fabric? I see you used a straight stitch, so is it some sort of stretchy fabric?
You are absolutely a fantastic seamstress!!
As usual, you make the job look easy.

Do you offer an online sewing tailoring classes. I would love it
Hi Carmen. Thank you 🥰 I am not offering classes online at this time. I'm working on a project right now. Cheers 🙂
How do you take out a puff sleeve from a v neck cotton/poly quarter sleeve jersey shirt. And add a traditional flat quarter sleeve.
In a nutshell, you remove it, open it flat and cut it again. I should make a video about it 🙂
Why to use lace if it is going to be on the wrong side ?
What product are you using to make your marks?
Hi! I use Carmel disappearing tailor chalk. Cheers 😊

Ha…just did an awful hem on my bottoms. Redo!
