*_HARD_* disagree on Destoroyah being "weak" - he was facing Godzilla while on the brink of meltdown, the *_PEAK_* of his power. Plus, his main weakness is extreme temperatures, with the combination of Burning Godzilla's overwhelming heat and the extreme cold from the humans' freezing cannons ultimately being too much for him, hence why he exploded while hitting the ground. And credit to him, he lasted surprisingly long, considering just how many spiral rays he was being blasted with. I mean, we all saw the number that beam did on Super Mechagodzilla and SpaceGodzilla and, yeah, Destoroyah had his abdomen blown open and was a blood-barfing mess, but he still lasted longer against the spiral ray than its prior victims. Think you'll ever revisit the topic of most powerful Godzilla monsters with a tier list some day?
Can I get a Godzilla enthusiast to help me understand something. I haven't watched all Godzilla movies but I have watched many. Sometimes Godzilla is the big bad such as Godzilla minus one most recently and sometimes Godzilla is the good guy..or at least the not bad guy who has a conflict with the bad guy. 😂 I absolutely love movies that develop into universes. It simply makes things more enjoyable for me when characters are given greater development that covers decades, centuries or milinia or more in the story line. Godzilla's story line is developed over many decades both in the story and reality but I'm struggling to find much consistency. I don't expect movies that were first produced in the 50's to be completely consistent with a movie from 2023 but even within the last couple decades Godzilla is sometimes the hero and sometimes the villain. Is there a way to harmonize all the Godzilla stories or am I looking at this all wrong? Should I be looking at most Godzilla flicks as stand alone stories or perhaps like DC, think of Godzilla from different universes? Maybe I simply don't understand what motivates Godzilla?
