Great review bro. I agree it was definitely like the mid to late showa era. I think some things could've been done a bit better but I really enjoyed it too. I'm sure I'll like it even more after further viewings after the bluray is released

I have never felt this much like a kid since Godzilla: King Of The Monsters. Holy F*ck, that was everything I could have asked for

I really had a blast watching the movie, I do feel that the pacing was too fast though.

This movie will is going to making I know a trust monster verse fan so never have doubts Becuse the Adam wingard I believe in him he is the successor of the monster verse and true fan of Godzilla

i do like the idea of human characters being kept at minimum haha and again... Yeah I'd be more on board with this if they only had changed up Godzilla's look to.. Like a modern version of the 60s showa Godzilla or something like that
I really can’t say I enjoyed this one. I loved GvK and was really looking forward to this but it just didn’t do it for me. The pacing was too fast and it didn’t leave anytime for it to stick with you. There wasn’t any anticipation or buildup to anything. It didn’t feel like a single scene in this film lasted longer than a minute, and all the fight scenes were disappointing. I do like how much time we got with the monsters by themselves, but I wish they had gone farther than they did with it. Kong’s scenes in the HE didn’t feel as emotional as I thought they should and Godzilla’s reunion with Mothra I found it be very disappointing. I found the human cast to be pretty annoying with how lackadaisical and careless they were. In KOTM and GvK when really crazy stuff was happening they still played it straight and acted like what was happening on screen really mattered. There were no stakes to anything and I’m not a fan of how everything just felt like a big joke.
That being said there were things I enjoyed and I am glad people are liking it. But it just wasn’t for me.
the cgi for some scenes and physic for the titan on this one was not good.

I just watched the movie today by the time of this comment and I think it's a good, interesting, and entertaining movie in my opinion.
This, honestly was everything I was asking for. It was goofy, action packed, and for once there was nothing on screen that was filler (in my opinion) because everything that was touched on played a part in the story. My personal wish.... Kinda wish Godzilla was a bit more lumbering and threatening. One day they'll nail the balance between serious and snarky, but until then i'll just wait happily in the corner for Battra and or Biollante to show up in these graphics. (Seriously can you imagine 👀?)
nah the way Godzilla and Kong entered the field and they started fighting mid air… fire af 💯🙏🏻‼️
Everyone who’s being overly critical, you need to find things in life that make you happier than movies do. That was a blast!

Godzilla is God.
Kong is Rambo.
And Mothra is precious.
I love this movie, Kong's gauntlet was a neat addition, although I get a lot of Thanos vibes from him. I could just expect Kong to snap his fingers and kill Scar King just like that. 😂 Scar King's death, however, (without spoiling) is not as epic as when Kong tore Mechagodzilla's head and metallic spine out of him.
Kinda like Rise of the Planet of the Apes (if the Apes were 300 ft tall) guest starring Godzilla and a frost Lizard thing.
And Kong has a Power Glove.
I felt it was a dumb, fun, popcorn movie. Pretty much what most of these Monsterverse films have been. I do appreciate that these films try to emulate the Showa era Godzilla films. I just hope with the positive audience feedback, and everyone singing the praises of this film are fellow Showa fans, since I will always feel those are the cream of the crop when it comes to Godzilla.

This movie was bonkers just big dumb fun kaiju bashing fun, human story plot was there but didn't overshadow at all. Definitely showa feels. My only con is the soundtrack is lacking.

Just got back from seeing the movie, and honestly the movie was Meh, I didn’t love it, nor did I hate it, it was just okay, in my opinion its not as good as Godzilla vs Kong, but it’s definitely better than Monarch and the Skull Island cartoon, in truth I’d probably put it on par with King of the Monsters, if you’re looking for mindless Monster action you will get your moneys worth. Shimo was cool, Skar King sucked.

As of right now and I may watch it again to get a different opinion. I’m kinda in the same boat as you. I enjoyed it but not on the same level like I did with Godzilla V Kong. Shimo was cool, not sure how I feel what they did to her in the end. But yeah, skar king. While he is more intelligent than the previous villains…..he almost came across as cartoony for me.
Went in expecting a dumb fun kaiju movie and was definitely entertained. Yeah it’s not the greatest but whatever.

Kong uses baby kong to beat up the other kongs will go down as an all time great Godzilla movie fight scene, me and my friend couldn't stop laughing at it, whenever u next revise a tier list for fight scenes or funny moments that will for sure be S teir!
