I remember the old war museum from the 1980s. This new one is much grander. Malta was a fortress of very brave human decency against inhuman fascism in WW2. The Maltese are some of the best folk on the planet. Love them.

Hey my dear friend. Do you realize we have been friends for over a year now. I think we met in IAmACreator on Pusa. But I am so glad we did no matter where it was. I love all the old footage you put in this. You know how I love history. I so want to go to Malta because of you. It was so nice of you to come to our channel. Hugs CM

What a ""Masterpiece" 🎦🏆 !!!. Steve, I've just watched this. Seen 'other versions' - they don't compare.
Beautiful museum! Reminded me of my late lovely Dad- he served at St Elmo during "WW2" whilst in the "RMA". TANX for the memories.

I like the place ..But as i said in there suggestions There could be do so much done with that area ...And is that all they could find ..After Its the national Museum ?? Am I being to hard ?? so much wasted space !! and so much locked up without views ??

@@EnglishmaninMalta Steve you're right to a point. Most of that stuff used to be at L-Armerija tal - Palazz. Now its all split up. I would have kept it all together. My Dad (xRMA) used to say that it was a shame that a lot of "WW2" stuff went to Army Surplus auctions post war & Govt was not interested in obtaining any "collectibles" at the time. Sad!.
      Cheers mate 👍 🇲🇹 🇪🇺 ©.

Malta has invested a lot of time and money in the restoration. Besides providing education and entertainment it makes a good movie set as well. It's unique to find accurately restored historical sites.

Hi again, it looks like they’ve moved the museum into the fort, as I’m sure it was near it, and it only had WW2 exhibits at the time, and they’ve put the George Cross on display too.
I’m sure one of those bells in the display cabinet was the Ohio tanker.
That airplane without wings was one of the Gloucester Gladiators, “Faith is at Ta Qali (I think) and Faith has 19 in its serial number, as that one was 20.
Can you do a video of the air museum at Ta Qali craft village if you haven’t already, they have a Spitfire and Hurricane on display.
I enjoyed every minute of this video.
    Cheers!

Another good video, they must have moved the war museum however, I seem to remember more exhibits and it was on a lower level. They had a wall inside the museum with war medals donated by the recipients, my wife’s uncle included, the George Cross medal was near all the other medals. Anyway, top class video as usual. Cheers.

Hi Steve, I love what they have done with that fort it looks so good compared to how I remember it. I noticed they have left some of the WW2 additions like some of the Gun emplacements and the watch towers. It's good as that stuff is fast becoming interesting history as well. Good one Steve.
