OMG You guys have to keep checking out Pete and Bas. I'm a Brazilian metal head and these old geezers got me into hip-hop big time! I even got to learn about the hip-hop culture and it's "mechanics" much more than I could anticipate. As a musician I can apreciate the specifics of what makes a good rapper or hip-hop song.
They have only been rapping about 6 years. Pete (short one is 73) started listening to rap with his granddaughter. Bas (77) is a musician so Pete called him up and asked if he wanted to try it. They write their own stuff but their grandchildren help them keep current on the slang.
Rumor has it that Pete ran with the Kray twins who were both notorious for their ruthless East End of London crime empire that rocked the Fifties and Sixties. They were the most feared gangsters in mid-20th century England. Bas' Dad ran an illegal bare nuckle fighting ring where he did some fighting.
"Bish, Bash, Bosh," "Stepped Into The Building," "Longthorne Shotgun," and "Sindhu Sesh" are the ones to hear, in any order listed. They're REALLY good at what they do.
Longhorne shotgun is the best song they have put out yet. However all of the music is fire 🔥 they are super talented I don't even care if they don't write their own music many rappers in the game do not and it takes a whole nother breed to be able to bring the lyrics to life and have Cadence and flow and swag and the back and forth is next level they are better than half the younger counterparts out right now

Baz, the tall one, mentioned in an interview that he had worked on cruise ships - he has been in music his whole life and plays piano. He mentioned a couple of famous bands that it sounded he had done session work for in the 60s. Also they are Londoners and so Cockney rhyming slang is in their DNA (and that was around from mid 1800s). They tour - and clips from one in 2022 looked like everyone was really into it.
