Thank you for your great contribution to the knitting world! I have been starting my morning with the two of you. Love both of your energy. Keep up with your great vlogs. Hugs to you two. :)
Hello Kim and Jonna. Love to see you both well and perky and laughing… love your laughing. You both always look cute. The skirt is gorgeous Kim and the black cardigan is perfect with it. Jonna, your sweater is just perfect for your skin tone. I love today’s topic. Your bunnies are so cute… both of them. Every time I make a toy, I’m in love. It’s like I’m a child again. And then I give it away and the recipient, usually one of my 10 grandchildren, is in love. I’ve made many different ones from different designers. In the beginning, everything was in pieces and then you had to sew them all up which was tedious. Then came along Susan B Anderson. Her early patterns were so cute and also in pieces but she has since created her toys to be basically knit all in one without any seaming, or minimal anyways. They’re wonderful. Last Spring I made Claire’s Peter Rabbit and Jemima Puddle Duck for my granddaughters which were based on their baby dishes. They were beautiful. My hubbies favourite. But then again, he says that about all the toys. I’ve also made Frog and Toad by Frog and Cast and Claire’s raccoon is in time out for no reason other than I had something else to do. I will be working on him soon… he’s beautiful as well. Lately I’ve been into Little Cotton Rabbits. Julie’s patterns are perfectly written and they’re such a nice size for just sitting on a shelf or tucking in a backpack. I’ve also made 2 of Mary Janes Tearoom dolls. Oh and I’ve made a Sackboy (loved him) and a My Neighbor Totoro lol, forgot about him. I’ve also sewn dolls .. that’s what I started with for my daughters many years ago… Raggedy Anne and Andy. And a couple of years ago, cats and puppies by Luckyjuju with Katia Ferris. I’m sure I’ve forgotten some things but suffice it to say, I love making toys. I really should update my Ravelry page to reflect the knit ones. I have lots of WIPs for myself and my Hubbie which are always put on the back burner because it’s someone’s birthday. But… they’re only young for such a few years and time is flying by… knitting for me will always be on another day. 😍
What a lovely comment and thank you for sharing your crafting with us. I started out sewing dolls, too. I've made quite a few Raggedy Anne dolls, mermaids, angels, santas, etc. You're so right...my William is 10 and asked for the Little Cotton Rabbits bear. Who knows how much longer he will openly cuddle his softies!
Thank you for the joy you're sharing with the world, especially through toys! I adore knitting toys, too, and I even have the Itty Bitty Toys book, so now I'm inspired to cast on something new and fun! I also really appreciate being able to catch up on your episodes and minisodes!
We're nearing the end of the New Jersey Wool Walk 2022 so I finally(!) had time to watch this episode. Thank you so much for the shout out on the MiniMochi kits -- we just love Anna Hrachovec's style and love to see her sweet designs make their way out into the world. It was also wonderful to connect with Kim when she met up at our store Yarnia after her other bestie Beth recently finished a knitting lesson there. Love your podcast -- definitely feels like sitting and knitting with old friends! ~Kathleen and the team at Yarnia
Hi Kathleen and Yarnia Team! I hope you're New Jersey Wool Walk 2022 was a huge success! If I hadn't been in France, I definitely would have stopped by. But I did knit a Mochi Mochi Unicorn while in France! I brought all of the kits I purchased at Yarnia, and my grandson requested the Unicorn. And he helped me create it too. Thank you for watching our channel! We feel like we're sitting and knitting with old friends too. :) Kim
Love your podcasts and all you share. I don’t knit toys often but have made characters from Little Cotton Bunnies, Julia Williams for all my grandchildren. They turn out adorable.
The 2 rabbits are so charming. What a clever idea to work with 3 different colored yarns to create the realistic marling of the bunnies’ coat. I love Kim’s new skirt! Enjoy your trip to France!
Hi Kathleen, We love our rabbits. And the clever one is definitely Claire Garland who created the pattern and the 3 strand marling design. Thanks for watching! :) K&J
Hi Ann, We definitely knit a lot, and relatively fast, but most of the toys were knitted over the past few years, not just for this video. Thanks for watching and commenting! :) K&J
The one by Amanda Berry? Adorable. My granddaughter loves unicorns...probably more than the duck I made her! Thank you so much for your sweet comment. Jonna
A ray of sunshine in my knitting world. Love watching you both. Love the way Kim says I can't remember I am the same but who cares .... smiles all the way. Highly enjoyable
I loved seeing all the toys! I’ve made many of Susan B Anderson’s toy patterns which are mostly done in one piece. Arms, legs etc are usually made by picking up stitches on the animal and knitting in the round. They are so much fund! It’s hard to pick a favorite, but her moose pattern with a fair isle sweater is one favorite. She’s written so many patterns and I love them all. I’m planning to look at the patterns you made on Rav and give some of those a try. Thanks for a great episode❤️
What a fun episode, thank you! I have a bunch of Alan Dart patterns waiting in my very long list project wishlist. His are amazingly detailed and really very charming. I have made a couple of toys since I got back into knitting some years ago. One is a crocheted monster. I have Kerry Lord's book Edward's Crochet Imaginarium, such a fun book. There are mix and match body parts and when you throw in the possibilities of different yarn weights, colours etc, there really is a world of possibilities. I can imagine grandchildren turning the pages and designing their own monsters. I have also knitted a fairy from Fiona McDonald's book Knitted Fairies to Cherish and Charm, another beautiful book. She has wild pink and grey curly hair which seemed to remind people of me (mine is often pink or purple). I painted her eyes onto felt and tried to glue them on at a slant to make her look a bit more alien. Instead it made her look like she's frowning a little and people thought she had a bit of attitude, which I quite like. I knitted her intending to give her away but she kinda turned into my alter ego and now she watches over my knitting corner. FAB skirt by the way, love it!
So much great info here! Thank you so much. The Alan Dart toys are adorable. The Kerry Lord book is amazing and those fairies are so beautiful. I just love that I'm learning so much from our viewers and so grateful! I will be sure to pass along the compliment to Kim. Jonna
Another enjoyable podcast ladies. I downloaded the free Koala pattern from Claire Garland ( I am a Aussie so that is a must). I also purchased the Wild Rabbit and the Kitten patterns . Cannot wait to start knitting them. My 3 yo grandson will love them.
I hope you both are having a wonderful time on your respective trips. I look forward to your return. Thank you for showing us the wonderful knit toys. I am definitely knitting that rabbit. 😊
LOVE the bunnies.. all of them. and, the duck reminded me immediately of Beatrix Potter's, "Jemima Puddle-duck". I've knitted over 150 of Susan B Anderson's 'not so itty bitty giraffe', in all different colors. I would take requests, from family and friends and make it in the colors they wanted (2 or 3 colors, per giraffe). Can't wait to try the bunny. Have knitted a small elephant, bunny (not as cute as yours) robot, frog, bear and sloth . Very fun to make toys.... thank you for another fun video. love, hugs, prayers.
Oh my goodness!!! So many giraffes!! It's an adorable pattern. Yes, the Lady Duck is very Jemima!! Claire Garlands patterns are genius. I hope you have fun making your bunny!
@@KnitTogetherwithKimJonna now I’ve seen your first episode glad you also like Arne & Carlos, your vlog reminds me of their sit and knit, except you’re more focused on the knit! 😃
Now I need to Finish the Love Note I'm doing, (MADE TO knit by the Grocery Girls) and cast on one of those glorious rabbits courtesy of you two gorgeous girls! 💖💖💖
I just recently discovered your podcast. I love listening to both of you and hearing about all your knitting makes, ideas and discoveries. I wish I lived nearby and could meet you to sit and knit. Thank you both!
I enjoyed this podcast about making toys very much! I have yet to make one of Claire Garland's toys but I hope to get into it soon. Happy Spring to you both. Thank you dear friends.
I’ve made several of Susan B Anderson toy patterns. My grandkids all have a version of the Bear in a bunny suit and I’ve made several of Ysolda Teague‘s Elijah the elephant and Sophie the bunny. I love making animals, too. I have several of Claire Garland’s patterns and plan to make them soon. 😀
You two are so funny about the noises. Most I don’t even notice until you mention them. Look at how many people watch Good Morning America when thy broadcast outside! We love you guys no matter what noises you make! 😉
Yay! This episode was great. I have never thought to knit toys. What a great idea, and I think my nephew would love one. I will add a knit toy to my list of future projects. Thank you.
Haha! Thank you! I have since changed my hair for summer. Still trying to figure out how to style it. Thank you so much for watching and commenting! ~Kim
I have knit several lovies by Carol Hebling. They are quick and toddlers seem to love them. And not toys per se, but all the gnomes by Sara Schira are super cute, and fun to knit.
I have several gnome patterns and even joined a KAL (bought the kit) and haven't made one. I do have a pair of lovely "gnome" socks though, lol! I think it was a summer gnome. The lovies from Carol Hebling are so cute! Thank you for sharing. Jonna
Love the set up. Especially the fact that we can see you both entirely. So many podcasters are waist up or higher and it is hard to get a full view of their knitwear. So 👏❤️
Great episode ladies. I knit a lot of knitted toys. In fact, that is what I knit mostly. I always use acrylic yarns, because I gift them to my grandchildren. I was/ am a member if Let’s Knit, a website and magazine from England, which has a large focus on knitted toys. I recently finished Elderberry Bunny for my Granddaughter for Easter. Happy Knitting!
Love watching your channel!! I made 2 Alpaca toys by Susan Anderson last summer. For myself and my sister, because every knitter needs an alpaca!! Happy Spring!
Really enjoyed watching your knitted toy episode. I love to knit toys also. Just recently finished a couple of pigs one from Louise Crowther and one from Elise from Le Petit Saint Crochet and several knitted toys from Susan B Anderson.
I plan on trying a few animals. Loved the ones you showed! Enjoyed hearing about all your projects! You two make me Smile. Look forward tour next episode. ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for the Claire Garland recommendation for toys, they are so sweet! Love the granny square skirt! Great podcast, hope you all are having a great vacation!
So enjoy your podcast. I can't imagine how frustrating it must be to have to redo multiple times (based on bloopers at the end) but thank you for sticking with it.
We have to just laugh because it's always disappointing. Never more than when we filmed our entire Christmas episode and forgot to turn on the mic. Thanks for sticking with US!
Thank you both for another wonderful episode. Kim your skirt immediately screamed granny squares to me, eclectically wonderful. The two of you just make me smile the whole way though 🥰
You filmed this episode on my birthday! I love all the toys/animals! I have never knitted any toy/animals...only crocheted. I just crochet a small snowman and a snail. He just has to have his feelers attached. I want to try a knitted animal soon...something simple.
Gorgeous toys! I’ve been thinking of doing toys lately. My nieces and nephews have started having children and toys would be a good gift. Thanks for the inspiration. 🤗
A couple of my favourite toy patterns are Little Tea Room Bears by Susan Hickson and Monkey Jacobus by Annita Wilschut. Both were well written step by step patterns and both are super fun to knit.
I have the Jacobus pattern but haven't tried it yet. Super cute!!! And, the doll I made is by Susan Hickson. It was so fun to make. Thank you for commenting!
Love knitting toys and I have many of Claire Garlands beautiful patterns which I was intimidated to knit since they are about 20 pages long, thanks your podcast, I will definitely have one on my needles soon. I actually knit Sarah Schira's (Imagined Landscapes) gnomes. She has several MKAL throughout the year and her patterns are detailed along with video tutorials. The May MKAL is in a few weeks. There's also a Pre-KAL chat room where everyone is sharing their yarn picks for the KAL; I'm addicted!
You will find the patterns really user friendly (stitch counts at the end of every increase/decrease row). Let us know if you need anything! I bought the kit for one of the summer gnomes and made socks out of it LOL...I would really love a gnome though! I'll check it out. Thank you! Jonna
Hello girls, I saw you for the first time a week ago, since than I’ve watched all your podcast and LOVE IT. Kim your are lucky to be able to go see Emma (tricolibri). Jonna I can’t beleive that you knit for so short Time, WoW!! You are both amazing 😁. I’m from Quebec Canada 🇨🇦. Bonne journée!☺️
Hi Josie! Thank you so much for watching! Yes, I'm really hoping to meet up with Emma, but I haven't heard back from her recently, so we'll see. And Jonna is AMAZING, right? She inspires me every day. :) Kim
I am addicted to the gnomes from Imagined Landscapes - at the moment there is an MKAL with a colourwork gnome, which is super fun. I’ve not done stranded colourwork before, so doing it on a little tiny project like this takes the sting away. :) Last year I knitted Christmas tree ornaments for the kids school teachers, too - they were a quick and fun gift to give. :)
Loved the toys. I might start making some animals just for me for fun. I made lots of knitted toys for my girls, including topsy turvy dolls, with one doll on top and another in the skirt. and you could turn them up and down/inside out. My girls loved them, Love the skirt Kim, Catherine
I have a Susan B Anderson book called, Itty Bitty Toys, and it has these reversible softies and one of them is a doll. It's adorable and I've always wanted to make one! Thank you! Jonna
I love knitting toys! I used to only crochet amigurmis but now I prefer to knit. I just made a gnome by Imagined Landscapes, a tiny cat the size of the palm of your hand (free pattern by Sara Elizabeth Kellner), and a bunny by Lovely Knit Creations that had a matching headband and dress! You both did such a great job on all your toys especially the bunnies!
Thank you! I've always wanted to make one of her gnomes. I bought a kit one year (for a summer gnome?) and made striped socks instead. Now, I am gnomeless. Jonna
Fun spending time with you! Like your other viewers I really like Susan B Anderson’s animals. I made the Mother Hen for my sister. Mochi Mochi is great as well. Have you see Arne & Carlos’s book on birds? I made a few of those and they are so joyful! Looking forward to your next podcast!🇨🇦
Thank you! So fun reading what everyone is making. I love Susan B Anderson's patterns and have several! We have both seen A&C birds! Love the ones with sequins! Jonna
Loved the knitted animals. Don't worry so much about the noises, I'm so into listening to you, that I don't even notice until you point it out and😁. Kim, you look nice all the time, but you did look really cute in your beautiful skirt. Jonna, I love that cardigan you made, it looks so cozy. Take care.
Great episode on toys! I love Claire Garland’s patterns. I knit a bunny for my grandson for his first birthday. Have you seen her latest little duckling? Adorable.
So fun! I love knitting toys, but haven't in a while. Hansi Singh's Octopus is my favorite, I have knitted it a bunch of times, and she has an amazing book called Amigurumi Knits with a lot of really fun animals. I also have a Frog & toad in process from Frog and Cast.
Those Frog and Toad patterns are SO cute. I've had the pattern in my library for awhile. That octopus??? You have got to be kidding...SOOOOO cute. Another pattern going in the cart!!
Glad I found you two! Your knit projects are lovely. I have made the TsuTsu Bear by Cinthia Vallet, Moose and Mother Hen by Susan B. Anderson, and right now I am working on "Hugh" Manatee by Barbara Prime! The manatee is going to be HUGE btw ; ) Happy Knitting!
I just bought the Tsutsu bear pattern! I have the perfect yarn in stash. Will your manatee be two feet long? Super cute walrus, too. Mother Hen is very sweet indeed!! Love her patterns. So many toys, so little time! Loving these comments. Thank you for sharing.
So happy you did this episode on toys! I am looking forward to starting some projects. Mary Jane’s Tearoom on Ravelry has some beautiful patterns, and the boy elephant was particularly interesting to me. Also, thank you for mentioning Yarnia. I am participating in the NJ Wool Walk, which begins next weekend, and I will make sure to add it to my schedule. Love your channel!!! 💕💕💕
Hi Anne, I just went to Yarnia on Saturday! It's a sweet little yarn shop. The retail space is small, but they have a basement filled with inventory, so make sure you ask if you don't see enough of what you want. I bought some yarn to make a summer Ranunculus. Thanks for watching and commenting! ~Kim
I've only made 1 toy. I've made my daughter a Pascal from the Disney knitting book. I hope to make more. My youngest has started to learn to crochet with the goal being to make her own stuffies.
I’ve been making toys also. I’ve made patterns from Alan Dart, Julie Williams, Susan B. Anderson. I made the duck, bunny and the kitten from Claire Garland. She certainly calls for a lot of stitch markers. The best to you both. 🌸💕
So fun!! Yes, it wasn't until this last pattern that I remembered to write the colors of the stitch markers and to make sure that the colors matched each other. That definitely helped. I would love to make the Bee from Claire Garland. So delicate! Jonna
I just made a Little Cotton Rabbit. Not the realistic pattern I’d want but a first try it and it worked out. Now I really want to do a realistic bunny.
Wonderful knit chat, knitted critters/toys, skirt and your beautiful sweaters! A clever crocheted toy that was a hit in my family is from Dedri Uys (Barbertondaisy), free or paid versions: pattern for a crochet version of a traditional Amish Puzzle Ball (see Ravelry). The resulting ball comes apart into three segments (puffy “rings”) that are re-assembled to form the ball. Everyone finds it to be clever and interesting - a fun gift. (There’s also an octopus toy with the ball as the head)
I’ve only knit one toy, Elijah the elephant by Ysolda Teague, and I’ve made him twice. It’s a fun knit and all the stitches are picked up and knit so no sewing pieces together. It’s a great baby shower gift! Enjoy watching and as always, lots of inspiration.
cute toys. I have made some animals from Cynthia Vallet which are super cute. Tsutsu Bear and Sadie Souris which is a cute mouse. I would highly recommend these patterns.
I just bought the Tsutsu Bear pattern. Adorable. I'm a little intimidated by the size, but I have the perfect yarn in stash. I can't even with Sadie's outfits!!! Jonna
@@KnitTogetherwithKimJonna YAY!!! I'm so excited for you. It looks intimidating but it is not at all. They are so fun. I have made the Bear, the Mouse, Bunny Odile and Didi Molly and Merri Molly. I hope you enjoy making Tsutsu Bear as much as I did. I look forward to seeing it
Hi from New Zealand Kim and Jonna! I watch your podcast every time, and love it :) I love all your toys, and you've inspired me to find more Claire Garland patterns. My all-time favorite softies to knit are by Cinthia Vallet "From Cinthia"- I'm not sure if you've seen her stuff, but the designs are brilliant and the patterns are written incredibly well. I highly recommend checking them out! xx Alanna
I'm so glad you are enjoying our channel! Yes, a couple viewers mentioned Cinthia and her Tsutsu bear pattern....I had to buy it! He's adorable. Maybe I'll cast him on this weekend?! I have the perfect yarn in stash. Thank you for the recommendation. Jonna
I love your podcasts! You're so much fun to watch and listen too while I'm knitting. I would love to make some animal toys-the rabbits are so life like; just beautiful. I just found a mouse I started (in pieces...some stuffed and some flat) that I am gifting to a nephew in our family. I realized that the body parts (arms, legs, head) are adaptable to make a rabbit and I don't have the mouse ears, so yay! its going to be a gray rabbit.
You’re going to meet Emma, I think that’s her name, from Tricolibri. She has a lovely French podcast. I know her kitten’s name is Georgette, like my mom lol. Have a wonderful time. Love your podcast.
Hi Lynn, I hope to meet Emma, but I haven't heard back from her recently, so we'll see. And I've watched her podcast a tiny bit, but I don't speak or understand any French, so that's a little frustrating for me. I would love to know what she's saying. Haha! Thanks for watching and commenting! ~Kim
Hi Girls 👋🏻so good to see you both.Sitting here on a rather cold April morning knitting on my Illuminate by Andrea Mowry. I love you skirt, Kim👌🏼colorful like you. And Jonna, I’m looking at you in jeans and that beautiful blouse and know that that outfit needs a Mare Shawl in Coral and natural white💝 All the best, Tone Ps: You even pronounced my name correctly 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Hi!!! I'm so glad that it came out correctly. I get all kinds of pronunciations of Jonna here in the US. I just got the natural white yarn! Felicia had to order it for me. I'm wrapping up two WIPS for the podcast and then I can CO. It is a nice, bright summer color for a project even if the weather here is COLD!! Thank you again. Jonna
Oh my I love your skirt so much I have looked all over the Anthropologie and can’t find that skirt. I bet lots of people asking if you have a link to the skirt so jealous.❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hi I made a rabbit for my grandson he is modelled on Peter rabbit (there are pics on my ig somewhere it was in lockdown) I really made him for the nursery because his mom loves Peter Rabbit, I never really intended him to be played with or anything. Anyway my grandson was born (a lockdown baby) yes I was one of those grandmas looking through the window at my first grandchild 🙁 he’s two now and that Rabbit goes EVERYWHERE with him he even won’t sleep without him. I need to grab him sometime and secure his head and ears because they are getting a tad loose 😝 he’s actually a crochet pattern from Krea Deluxe and she has since updated the pattern to include mrs Bunny. I love your Jemima Duck Jonna, she looks like she’s modelled off Jemima Puddleduck from the Peter Rabbit books I would love to make one. Love your minisode as always ❤️
Such a sweet story. My grandson is also a lockdown baby. Thank you for your kind comment. I agree that the Lady Duck pattern looks just like Jemima Puddleduck. Claire Garland also has a pattern called, Peter's Coat, that I've made.
I love knitting the toys from zijmaakthet. I do not even know if they are available in english. In the Netherlands we had spring, summer, winter in a week. Now we are back to our eternal autumn. IT is cold, windy, Grey skies, raining and did i say cold? I think in november IT Will start freezing again and that is when winter hits..
Yes, they are available in English on Ravelry! I actually have the Jacobus pattern. It’s adorable. Eternal autumn sounds amazing. I am not a fan of summer!
@@KnitTogetherwithKimJonna that means possible frost, hail, Grey skies for months and rain. I would love to move to southafrica or la Palma. Where the winter is pretty much a dutch summer. I love 20°C and higher. And blue skies. I knitted the monkey, the rabbit, the hippo, the elefant and the bear. And another monkey, hippo and rabbit.
I ve knitted Louise crowther s animals and she has new book comin out soon of wild animals it’s on Amazon I ve pre ordered they have clothes and so easy to make and really cute
I just looked her up and the patterns are gorgeous. Kind of in between looking like a toy and like the real thing. So beautiful. Thank you for sharing! (ordered, lol)

I'm currently knitting the Coraline doll. My first seemed doll construction. She is done, except these last steps. A bit nervous about that and nervous about her hair. I would love to see a tutorial about these things when making knitted toys.
Adorable. Hopefully the instructions are detailed. I didn't have any trouble with the little doll I made with the braid. You can do it! One piece of advice is that if you're not happy with your first go, try again (and again!). Good luck, Jonna
Yes, I have! I knitted Summer Lee Design Co. "shorty sock set" with some texture in the arch...it's a slip stitch ribbing. Hope this helps! I also did my first fade with these socks. www.ravelry.com/projects/Knitmatician/shorty-sock-set
I love @Knitables patterns. The teddy 🧸 is why I learned how to knit. I wanted to make him for a pregnant friend. It took me 4.5 months to make because I didn't know how to correct my mistake and kept staring over 🙃 but he turned out beautifully! Now they take me between a week or two to make. They are so many outfits to choose from for her stuffed animals. You guys have to check her out. They are loved by both children and adults. (My mom asked for one for her last birthday)
The clothes for these bears are incredible. So detailed and beautiful! I can easily see an adult wanting one. I want one! Another viewer mentioned Knitables too...she was making the Highland Dress outfit....unreal! Jonna
@@KnitTogetherwithKimJonna weird! My page 11 is just the shaping for the head and the start of the bill. My pattern doesn’t include the bonnet or shawl at all! I thought maybe I had to buy a separate pattern. What a mystery!
I think my pattern was free on one of her Friday Freebies. Maybe the Ravelry and Etsy patterns are different? She's very prompt to reply, so maybe contact her on IG?
So glad I found y’all! Y’all are so easy to listen to and this is just the most relaxing thing I’ve seen all day! ❤️

The 2 rabbits are so charming. What a clever idea to work with 3 different colored yarns to create the realistic marling of the bunnies’ coat. I love Kim’s new skirt! Enjoy your trip to France!
Hi Kathleen,
We love our rabbits. And the clever one is definitely Claire Garland who created the pattern and the 3 strand marling design.
Thanks for watching! :) K&J

I love SBA too!! I have her Itty Bitty Toys book and several of her Ravelry patterns. Her aesthetic is just enchanting. Thank you for sharing! Jonna
Jonna
i like the kind of things they do when it comes to knitting
Another enjoyable podcast ladies. I downloaded the free Koala pattern from Claire Garland ( I am a Aussie so that is a must). I also purchased the Wild Rabbit and the Kitten patterns . Cannot wait to start knitting them. My 3 yo grandson will love them.
Yay! We hope you have as much fun knitting Claire's patterns as we have. And your grandson will definitely love them. :) K&J
I hope you both are having a wonderful time on your respective trips. I look forward to your return. Thank you for showing us the wonderful knit toys. I am definitely knitting that rabbit. 😊
Thank you! It's a great pattern! Let us know how it goes!
Love your Mochimochiland toys. Her stop motion videos are so amazing and funny.
Hi Trish!
Thank you, and yes, her stop motion videos are fabulous! We love them. :) K&J
I am loving the toys. I am sure I will be making some in my future. So happy to see you again. Happy Easter.
Loving watching your tutorials, so relaxing and fun, started my 1st circular knitting blanket. Keep safe and happy everyone xxoo
Thank you so much for watching! Have fun knitting your blanket. :) K&J
Just discovered you, now need to go back to watch your previous ones, love your chat and ideas for projects.
Welcome! So glad you stopped by!
@@KnitTogetherwithKimJonna now I’ve seen your first episode glad you also like Arne & Carlos, your vlog reminds me of their sit and knit, except you’re more focused on the knit! 😃
I have been eyeing the Holland Lop Rabbit by Claire Garland. Glad to hear you are fans.
Love those ears!
Thank you for the inspiration to knit more toys! So far, my favorite knitted animal is Bunny Odile by Cinthia Vallet. She has an adorable bear, too.
She does have beautiful patterns! So sweet.
Hi Kristine!
We're so happy you discovered us, and it would be so fun to sit and knit together. Please let us know if you're ever in New York! :) K&J
@@KnitTogetherwithKimJonna Will do, thanks!
Fun to see your toys! I’ve been wanting to knit some and now I’m encouraged to try! Thanks!
Elijah the Elephant is so adorable. So many toys, so little time! I want to make the Tsutsu Bear next.
You two are so funny about the noises. Most I don’t even notice until you mention them. Look at how many people watch Good Morning America when thy broadcast outside! We love you guys no matter what noises you make! 😉
Haha! I guess we're our biggest critics. It's nice to hear that you don't mind all of the noises. :) K&J
Yay! This episode was great. I have never thought to knit toys. What a great idea, and I think my nephew would love one. I will add a knit toy to my list of future projects. Thank you.
Great podcast
Kim, I really like your hairstyle today!! Always liked the multi colors! Just stunning toys in such detail!!
Haha!
So 👏❤️
Thank you! I am looking for more permanent chairs since we've been using my lawn furniture, lol. IKEA is in my future!
The Elderberry bunny pattern is adorable. Those hats!! So cute. Thank you for sharing. Jonna
Love watching your channel!! I made 2 Alpaca toys by Susan Anderson last summer. For myself and my sister, because every knitter needs an alpaca!! Happy Spring!
Hi Carolyn,
Thank you so much for watching! And yes, I think I need to knit an Alpaca too. :) Kim
How fun today. Loved your toys.
Thank you for the wonderful knitting inspiration and laughs! Gillian in Ontario
Thank you beautiful people. My favorite is the Tsutsu bear by Cintia designs.
Uh, oh. He is TOO cute. Hmmmmmm. Quick weekend knit, I'm thinking. I think I have the perfect brown in stash! Thanks for the cuteness.
Have a look at her ravelry page - Cinthia Vallet, there are so many cute ones and the pieces of clothing are adorable.
My all time favorite toy is a knitted zebra by Lorraine Pistorio . It is a very well written pattern and my daughter loves him.
That zebra is absolutely adorable!! Thank you so much! Jonna
So fun! Your toys are beautiful! I need to deviate from sweaters and make other fun things soon
They are usually quick, little palate cleansers.
Really enjoyed watching your knitted toy episode. I love to knit toys also. Just recently finished a couple of pigs one from Louise Crowther and one from Elise from Le Petit Saint Crochet and several knitted toys from Susan B Anderson.
I was thinking of casting on a Tsutsu bear today! Toys are such a great, small project.
I plan on trying a few animals. Loved the ones you showed! Enjoyed hearing about all your projects! You two make me Smile. Look forward tour next episode. ❤️❤️❤️
Such cute animals! Thanks for your podcast.
Thank you for the Claire Garland recommendation for toys, they are so sweet! Love the granny square skirt! Great podcast, hope you all are having a great vacation!
You two crack me up!
Thank you for watching! I love my "granny square" skirt. So happy we make you smile. :) Kim
You filmed this episode on my birthday! I love all the toys/animals! I have never knitted any toy/animals...only crocheted. I just crochet a small snowman and a snail. He just has to have his feelers attached. I want to try a knitted animal soon...something simple.
Happy (belated) Birthday, Karen!
Thank you for watching and good luck knitting some toys! :) K&J
@@KnitTogetherwithKimJonna Thank you!!!
The toys are so cute. The bunni r s are truly adorable.
Thank you! K&J
Thank you! Jonna
I immediately thought you'd made the skirt, Kim!! Really cool.
Hi Rachel,
I wish I could make that skirt! :) Kim
I love the toys! The duck looks like Beatrix Potter’s Tale of Jemima Puddle-Duck. Her tiny books would be a lovely gift to include❤️
It does! Claire Garland's aesthetic is just gorgeous. Thank you for the sweet comment.
:) Kim
Oh my goodness the cubby of yarn is so beautiful. But the RED CUBBY IS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIMUS! I LOVE DEEP TRUE RED
Haha, thank you!!
Love all of this. But that doll! Adorable!
Thank you! She was a lot of fun.
I am addicted to the gnomes from Imagined Landscapes - at the moment there is an MKAL with a colourwork gnome, which is super fun. I’ve not done stranded colourwork before, so doing it on a little tiny project like this takes the sting away. :)
Last year I knitted Christmas tree ornaments for the kids school teachers, too - they were a quick and fun gift to give. :)
I just looked at the Gnome MKAL today! I've always wanted one. Are you using magic loop for the hat? Jonna
@@KnitTogetherwithKimJonna no, I used Addi crazy-tips - they are amazing for socks/gnomes.
Thank you! Jonna
Beautiful cardigans; love the toys. I've made a bunny for my granddaughter with different clothes; a while ago but so cute.
Thank you! My oldest grandson wants a bear (with red dungarees) so that's what I'm doing this weekend.
Jonna
By the way, your work is outstanding.
Thank you SO much!!
Take care.
Thank you! And thank you for not minding the noises. ~K&J
I’ve knit Lollodidit’s Hippo and Susan Anderson’s little sheep kit.
Super cute hippo! She has a kit, too. Jonna
So cute!!!!! I actually just made The Penny Doll and am addicted to making more stuffies!
Penny the Clown Doll? She's adorable. You can't make just one!! Jonna
@@KnitTogetherwithKimJonna actually it’s Penny Doll by Manon Lemaire. More of a folk doll.
Great episode on toys! I love Claire Garland’s patterns. I knit a bunny for my grandson for his first birthday. Have you seen her latest little duckling? Adorable.
I have! I had to order some yellow mohair from the shop so I can make one! Jonna
My favorite toy to knit is the felted Huggable Hedgehog, and have made quite a few..
Awe, he is CUTE!!
@@KnitTogetherwithKimJonna Right now manatee measures about 22.5 inches partially stuffed!
Hi Anne,
I just went to Yarnia on Saturday! It's a sweet little yarn shop. The retail space is small, but they have a basement filled with inventory, so make sure you ask if you don't see enough of what you want. I bought some yarn to make a summer Ranunculus.
Thanks for watching and commenting! ~Kim
@@KnitTogetherwithKimJonna I saw your pictures from your visit! Can’t wait to go!
I enjoyed seeing these beautiful toys...I'll be knitting my first one for my granddaughter's birthday in July. It's called Christopher Bunny
Wonderful! Do post it on IG and tag us so we can see! #showkimandjonna
Wow! That is so cool. This would definitely make a great gift because it doesn't have to fit! Thank you for the suggestion. Jonna
What a sweet elephant! Thank you for sharing. Jonna
I watch your podcast every time, and love it :)
I love all your toys, and you've inspired me to find more Claire Garland patterns. My all-time favorite softies to knit are by Cinthia Vallet "From Cinthia"- I'm not sure if you've seen her stuff, but the designs are brilliant and the patterns are written incredibly well. I highly recommend checking them out!
xx Alanna

Yes, a couple viewers mentioned Cinthia and her Tsutsu bear pattern....I had to buy it! He's adorable. Maybe I'll cast him on this weekend?! I have the perfect yarn in stash. Thank you for the recommendation. Jonna
Love Two Sheets. I bought the calendar last year and purchased yarn.
Wonderful!! Thank you for letting us know.
Thank you! And good luck knitting that mouse/rabbit! It will be adorable and your nephew will love it. :) K&J
You’re going to meet Emma, I think that’s her name, from Tricolibri. She has a lovely French podcast. I know her kitten’s name is Georgette, like my mom lol. Have a wonderful time. Love your podcast.
Hi Lynn,
I hope to meet Emma, but I haven't heard back from her recently, so we'll see. And I've watched her podcast a tiny bit, but I don't speak or understand any French, so that's a little frustrating for me. I would love to know what she's saying. Haha!

Hi Girls 👋🏻so good to see you both.Sitting here on a rather cold April morning knitting on my Illuminate by Andrea Mowry. I love you skirt, Kim👌🏼colorful like you. And Jonna, I’m looking at you in jeans and that beautiful blouse and know that that outfit needs a Mare Shawl in Coral and natural white💝
All the best, Tone
Ps: You even pronounced my name correctly 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Hi Gail,
Unfortunately, the skirt is no longer available. We looked for it to include a link in the show notes, but it has since sold out. Sorry. ~K&J
I have made 2 Magnus the Mouse in thin cotton “cotton8” as well as the bear in sock yarn by Arne and Carlos. Find toys a bit fiddling.😂🤗
So fun! Yes, I really want to CO a Tsutsu bear but I am intimidated by the thin yarn and tiny needles. So cute though. Jonna

I love The Knitter's Planner and I'm getting ready to buy my 4th one. Here's the link to their website... knittersplanner.com/ :) Kim
Love the bunnies! I have to comment on the carrots. The 'perfect' carrot is a grocery store carrot. The other one is a garden carrot. 😊
LOL, so true! That said, I cannot grow a carrot to save my life. I have raised beds and good soil. Who knows?!
Jonna
What pattern did you use for the bonnet and shawl on Jemima? I want to make one for my grandma but I noticed the pattern is for the duck only.
The shawl and bonnet are on page 11 of the Jemima Duck pattern. Hope this helps!
You can get shorter DPN’s. I took a class from Anna and that was one of her suggestions.
I will let Kim know! Great idea.
