I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this episode. This is my FAVORITE!! The relaxed, casual, LONG format was perfect! Listening to you two just chat was so nice while I knit along.
Thanks for keeping me company while I knit away. I am having a quiet moment alone so this was the perfect time to catch this episode. It was fun to hear all about your vacations and see all your pretty gifts and lovely yarns. Thank you for sharing! StitchedbyMimi
Thank you so much for promoting my hats and Lunenburg and Nova Scotia. It really helps us so much. Yes, Jonna, The Cotswald is a very long Staple length.
This was one of the best episodes ever! I live just outside Halifax, and lived for many years in Saint John. Every yarn store, every restaurant and everywhere you visited was a place I’ve been. It made me feel so much more connected with you both. I was knitting a complicated pattern for socks while watching, and as others have also said, it made me feel like I was right there on the deck with you. It’s been lovely getting to know you better. Thank you for such a personal episode! ❤
Sorry for the very delayed reply, but we're so happy you enjoyed hearing about my trip to Nova Scotia. It's one of my very favorite places in the world! You're so blessed to live there. ❤️ Kim
Loved hearing about your travels...and all the lovely things you purchased along the way. The setting of the yard with the trees was a beautiful background. Welcome home to both of you....looking forward to your adventures at Wool and Folk etc...
Ladies!!!! That was so enjoyable to listen to. Glad you had such a great vacation and sorry about the weather but what can you do? So fun to hear you just talk like friends do. Thanks for a relaxing bit of friendship!
Kim, you were knitting, Jonna, you were counting, and I was fixing a dropped stitch. It took me a minute to realize that neither of you were talking! It made me feel like I was on the deck with you two - 🧶💜
Thank you for another beautiful and engaging podcast episode. I enjoyed hearing about your travels and I'm now wishing it were still warm enough to knit outside, as you were.
Oh I loved this so much, one of my favorite things about Knit Together with Kim and Jonna is your friendship. Thank you for sharing your visit, I felt like I was there.
Beautiful setting, I was knitting right along w you! My grandparents went to Nova Scotia, wish they were still here to tell me (again) about their time there. Thanks for such a peaceful knitting & chat & stories!
Sounds like you both had quite the adventure! I LOVED this long podcast. I got a ton crocheted on my cardigan! Thank you ladies! Glad you are feeling better Jonna and glad you didn’t get sick, Kim. 🌸🌸🌸
You’re messing with my head 😂 Kim is supposed to sit on the left haha - glad Jonna is feeling better ❤I’m slowly getting there 😊such a lovely place to sit outside - always fun listening to you catching up
That was fun, sounds full of adventure. A hurricane 😬 no power for 2 ½ days oh wow! Your jumper will have some wonderful memories in it. Your garden looks so peaceful and pretty Jonna 🌳💕 I love love love cruises. My husband and I played the newlywed game, you’re so right it certainly isn’t for the faint hearted. We won, which was fun, but omg some of the answers we gave were blush inducing. Thanks for the fun, happy knitting, Karen 🇦🇺💕
Oh my goodness!! So, so funny. One of the questions was when did you first meet your husband and I would have bombed! We don't remember!! My Dad is all ready for the next cruise!
I'm sorry for finding it hilarious that Jonna wants to make dinner an hour in and it goes on for another hour. But truly an awesome haul! Who doesn't want to go up the east coast now?!? I do!!
You two are so sweet together. It was beautiful watching you catch up. I love that when Jonna was counting you didnt add music or speed it up. It just felt quiet and restful and natural. I loved hearing about your cruise experiences as a passenger, Jonna and you as a worker, Kim. I can totally relate to feeling so awkward and embarrassed for other people that you have to leave the show. I went on a cruise to the South Pacific where they had to turn back due to weather as well. It meant for us only one land day on an 8 day cruise and that was a little too much cruise-ship-claustrophobia for me. I bring my coffee and tea stuff when I go away too, Kim. I like to have my first tea and coffee in my pajamas before I have to interact with other humans and while my husband sleeps in. Love your Lunenburg. Your trip sounds like an incredible experience, Kim. Your openness and curiosity about the place and people around you is beautiful. I am so glad you are enjoying my podcast, Jonna. Thank you for the lovely shout-out. I enjoy yours so much. Thanks for keeping me company on my Saturday morning knitting while the house is quiet.
Tash... Thank you so much for your thoughtful and detailed comments. We love them so much, even though we don't always reply in a timely manner. Hope you're having a fabulous summer down under! ❤️ Kim
This was such a nice episode. I got half of a sleeve done and I certainly didn’t notice that you didn’t look at the camera, as you mentioned. When we knit with friends we don’t usually stare at them😄
What a gorgeous setting! And what a lovely episode. I got such a lot of knitting done and I really felt like I was hanging out at one of my knitting meetups = with fewer mistakes 😄 I hope you do more of these . Thank you both x
Great podcast Kim and Jonna. It was so relaxing. The setting was beautiful, the sound was perfect and the conversations were fun to listen to while I knit and had some tea. Thanks ladies.
A lovely episode, very relaxed. I was sitting up in bed knitting on my second Salty Air Tee,(thanks Jonna) , hopefully finished for the Australian summer. My husband took the dog for a walk and I relaxed with a cuppa. I laughed so hard at the reaction to the microphone when you took off your jacket Kim. Thanks again 😀
Coincidently, late last summer I ordered 3 skeins (special order) of Handmaiden Flyss in Colour Shell Pink from The Loop in Halifax to knit Tegna! My friend knit Tegna in this yarn and color and I loved it! Thinking of knitting long sleeves or possibly 3/4 length. I dealt with Mimi from The Loop and had my yarn shipped to Ontario.
Awwww! I’m on vacay this week and finally catching up on episodes. I love you guys too. Full disclosure, I have great birds but I do live next door to the Bedford Audubon. Maybe that helps. Hope to see you both soon at PUES. Happy New Year.
So glad you and your dad did not get seriously ill.😊 Really fun to see you mostly unscripted, and enjoying each other’s company. For easy counting of cast-on, place a marker every 50 stitches.🙂 Working on my Zipper Cardigan as I watch.😊
I’m from NS but on the other end … Cape Breton Island….The hand maiden and fleece artist is a mother daughter dyers…they are beautiful dyers….and at the Gaspereau Valley.. was the cat in the basket on the table.. was there last summer and all the cat wanted was pats and a brush…. Just darn cute .. and I bought the yarn the spun from their sheep for mittens… and Jonna was one of your stops in Sydney or was Halifax you last Canadian stop.. if you did a friend of mine has a rolling yarn shop on the dock… Tracy’s rolling yarn shop…. It would be worth a visit.
Sorry for the delayed reply, but yes, the cat greeted me at the door of Gaspereau Valley. So cute, but I couldn't get a good pic. Jonna's ship didn't go to Sydney. Halifax was the last stop. Would have loved to check out Tracy's Rolling Shop! 😘 Kim
Loving you talk about Canada and Canadian yarns. Although I live in Alberta now (let me know if you ever travel to Calgary or Edmonton!), I grew up in southwest Quebec -- in dairy farm country, 50 miles or so SW of Montreal -- went to University in Montreal, have cousins there and back in my hometown, and lived there till after I married and moved west. I've been to Atlantic Canada a few times, and have cousins in New Brunswick. Handmaiden and Fleece Artist are 2 wonderful yarn dyers who are, I believe, mother and daughter. Then there's also Briggs & Little in NB, which spins/dyes more 'woolly' wool. And Newfoundland/Labrador is the home of all the 'salt-water mittens'. All across the country we knit -- because in most places our winter lasts 4 to 6 months each year.
Knitted on my Cumulus blouse, I am now at the splitting for sleeves and body, a little bit earlier then I thought😃….. It was fun to listen to Nova Scotia stories, i have been there 20 years ago when I was pregnant with my daugther. Been to Lunenburg, still think I should make that sweater. Harrison Ford an Kevin Spacey were there making their movies, we run into the set of Kevin Spacey…..it was weird. But such a great holliday, with lots of beautiful memories I never forget.
I thoroughly enjoyed this podcast! I just got back from vacation (I went to the Caribbean on a cruise ship😂) and it was so nice to sit down and knit while you both caught up. Jonna, I'm glad you and your Dad are well now. I love your t-shirt! Kim, your vacation sounds amazing (maybe except for the storm), but thank you so much for sharing! And thanks for meeting Karen and giving her a hug from all of us Cable 3s ❤
Enjoyed your podcast. I was in Lunenburg in June and loved it so much. It's the first time I have been to the east coast of Canada. I'm from western Canada.
We were in Lunenburg a few years ago and I visited The Mariner’s Daughter where I purchased a couple things. I also have the project bag and it is on of my favorites for smaller projects.
Jonna counts by fives and so do I. 🤗 The cruise sounded fun, sorry it ended early because of the storm.🌪🛥 OMGoodness, Kim you're a one-woman shopping spree.😂😉 Really, what a nice thing to think of others when you're on your 20th Anniversary vacation. I can't speak for others, but I really enjoyed this format of being outdoors and chatting. 🌳🐦 Hope you both and your families are well, take good care of yourselves ~ Lacy 🤗💞
Oh my goodness, I think this is genuinely my favourite video from you two!! I laughed so much and loveeeed it!! Truly felt like a catch up! Hope you all recovered well from sickness!! ♥
I worked on my Ingrid slipover while watching. I live vicariously through you both with all your adventures! Sounds like you both had a great time. I also joined in the cast on party the other day which was fun. Maybe someday I'll actually talk.... nope probably not. But I don't mind and am thrilled when everyone else does. Awesome knit along today!
Kat, so sorry for this very delayed reply, but thank you for watching and commenting, and we can't wait until you decide to "talk" during one of our Zooms. 😘K&J
So funny my mum had one those red jumpers in the 80’s that Princess Diana wore she bought it in a shop in the underground station somewhere in London, can’t believe it is trendy again 😂
This was fun! I watched while casting on my April Cardigan (and completely forgot to include the initial neckline increases - ugh). Kim, thanks again for making time for me during such a difficult time. Jonna, when we Face-timed, you were coming out of the gym. I wish I were that disciplined!
KIm, too funny I am watching this video wearing the sheep sweater but with long sleeves same as your vest. Did you know this is a copy of Lady Dianna's sweater, and her original one just sold for one million dollars! Enjoy it
Jonna, it’s no wonder you connected with Tash of Mostly Knitting. She teaches math. I found her videos when searching for picking up sleeves without leaving a hole. She’s delightful as are the two of you.
Ok I know and appreciate how much work you both put into the podcasts but I have to say how much I loved this video 🖤 I have been working on my champagne cardigan and Lana vest, hope you have a good weekend< you "knitting bestie" Lauryl
So exciting to know you were in my city, Saint John. I would have loved to say “Hi” to you. There was another much bigger yarn store in the big Mall just down the street, Cricket Cove.
Hi Jonna: I’m just watching your episode and heard you would like a circular sock machine. I went to the John C, Campbell Folk School and took a week long class on the circular sock machine! I ended up buying an old one as the teacher sold them and they were more reasonable than a new one. It is great and loads of fun but fiddly. I’m pretty patient though so I’ve managed to make it work and enjoy it. Let me know if you want more info….Ann
Thank you! Great to hear. I'm anxious to hear how Kevin from NATR is getting along with his new machine. I still want one! I looked on Ebay and Craigslist but didn't see anything. There is a plastic machine (that isn't cheap) but I'm wary. Would love to chat!

Loved all the goodies. I’m hand binding my most recent quilt. Started it in 1992 finishing 2023.
Thanks for keeping me company while I knit away. I am having a quiet moment alone so this was the perfect time to catch this episode. It was fun to hear all about your vacations and see all your pretty gifts and lovely yarns. Thank you for sharing!

That was my first thought about this episode!
So funny. When we record with an iPhone, it reverses our positions. No idea why. 😂
It's the best 'knitting podcast' ever! Exactly what I needed! 🤩👏
The two of you are so wonderful together! Thank you for your videos!

This was a great episode! On one side a 🧶 knit together on the other side a little vacation tour through Nova Scotia. I loved it so much, thank you 🤗!
This was so much fun to listen to and knit to!! Thanks!
Gaspereaux Valley Fibres is my favourite yarn shop. They have so many beautiful yarns.
Kim that yarn you bought that you didn’t know what you would knit with it.. it would make a beautiful Big Love.
When our eldest daughter was a teenager she was actually in the sport birding. I had never heard of it until then. 🤣

Enjoying the counting time.
That was so much fun!
Love your hair color Kim, suits you xx
Thanks for the fabulous company for sleeve island. Wish you would start a knit/crochet friend matching service. I want a Kim/Jonna of my own. ❤️🥰

I love that red vest
@@KnitTogetherwithKimJonna see you at Rhinebeck. My daughter and I are coming from San Francisco!
Hello ladies fab catching up video as always xx
There is an amazing essay about cruises called "A Supposedly Fun Thing I'll Never Do Again" by David Foster Wallace... I've never been on one and I wouldn't rule it out but the essay is hilarious and interesting.
Oh my, yes! 🤣
this is such a fun video, thank you! Jonna does the new apple watch also count your knitting movements as steps? mine old one does 😞X Julia
This was so enjoyable. I’m sitting on the beach knitting and listening to your talking like I am there with you. And also I’d like to say that it warms my heart so much that you intentionally supported as many small businesses as you could while there. A great role model for all of us. 😊
Saint John is the oldest incorporated city in Canada. ❤
Doesn’t everyone pack their French press 😂.
🤣
I could see the sparkle, a bit.
Jonna---agree with you --idea of cruises kinda creep me out!
Why you do not talk to us ?
This was just an intimate, casual chat. We’re sorry if you found it confusing.
Like "branch on the wire....

Thank you!
