Well I can tell you what Won’t be knitting!!! 🤯 the Aminia jumper looks mind blowing…. Congratulations on getting as far as you’ve got in this podcast. I’m a new subscriber and enjoying starting from the beginning… loving your friendship and knits 🧶 Greetings from Scotland 🏴 🥃🥃🥃
Enjoyed this episode so much! Glad you are both feeling better 💖 Kim, the Cowboys hat turned out fabulous - you are a designer! Jonna, the colorwork on your sweater is beautiful.
Hi Jojo! Thank you so much for watching. :) You'll definitely hear more about the Cowboys hat in future videos, and Jonna's Nordiska color work is definitely gorgeous. We agree! ~K&J
Obsessed with your colorblock sweater. Isn’t it always like that? When we can actually stay with that limbo when plans go awry, often we make space for something even better… but so hard to remember when you’re in it! Well done!
Yes! So true! It's definitely hard for me to change directions when I have a goal already in mind. But this veering off of my planned path definitely led to a creative victory! ~Kim
Wow, Kim, you turned that intarsia project around and I thought “No way, not worth it” I’m with you Jonna, but kudos to you Kim for sticking with it. It is definitely going to be lovely when you are finished!
Rainy day here; perfect for catching up with your genius projects and all the useful tips. The Nordiska! Slippers! All the Ranunculi! Ooo, and the tray for Amina, the neat flexible bobbins, and then the zip/binder needle organizer! (I have a large, light basket with a handle for my sweater project “containment” - works great for me, and easy to tote from place to place, toss a white lint-free cloth in first to guard against any possibility of snag; cloth gets set on my lap if I am working with dark yarn- the white contrast helps with seeing the stitches. )
Hi Linda! We're so happy you are loving our content. We are having so much fun sharing our knitting lives with the world. Thanks for watching and commenting! ~K&J
Ladies I enjoyed your podcast very much. Love hearing you both chattering away about all things knitting. Can't believe how quickly you both turn out projects. I think I probably knit one sock in the same time you finish a whole sweater. The ranunculus sweater is on my list as I've heard/seen so much about it i think I should make one. Looking forward to the next podcast & thank you for keeping me company whilst I make dinner. 🙂
Hi Tracy, Thank you so much for watching and commenting! We're very blessed to have lots of time to knit. And now it's our "job!" Haha! So happy we could keep you company... ~K&J
I abolutely love your podcast ! I love your design choices, your color choices, your yarn choices, everything. Thank you for sharing your passion and energy. I am new here and now I am going to watch every episode. Catherine (french knitter)
So lovely to see you both again and all your knitting. Love your colour block sweater Kim and your Nordiska Jonna. I have the Nordiska pattern sitting in my ravelry library and must at some point knit it. You both have made my Friday evening. At the moment my husband is going through cancer treatment and goes off to bed very early and so you have been great company. I live in Norfolk UK near the coast and today we had our first snow and it is freezing, so have been wearing my Humulus sweater by Isabell Kraemer. Thank you so much for the time you have taken to make the podcast which was enjoyed very much and love from this part of the world to yours x
Dear Sharon, We're so sorry that your husband has cancer. We will both pray for remission and healing. And we're so happy we can keep you company during this difficult time. Hopefully the cold and snow will subside and we'll be out soaking up the warmth of the sun in no time! ~K&J
Kim love your knitting spirit - I was sort of in a rut because I am a monogamous knitter, but after hearing you I have now cast on my first brioche project to keep me entertained. So now two project on the go and my knitting mojo I think has come back. Jonna - you will absolutely enjoy knitting the Mare shawl. I love the pattern so much I created a topdown yoke sweater with the flower design. The Mare shawl and Mare sweater are my most worn winter knits. I am on Ravelry as the WoollyNeedle if you want to see the sweater. Glad both of you are better and I look forward to you segments. ❤️❤️❤️
Kim the Dallas hat is fabulous and I now have on my list of things to make, a buffalo bills one for my son! Your son in law will love it!! You ladies are so enjoyable to knit with and feel like friends💜
Hi Pamela, It was so fun to knit! Now I just need to figure out how to write the pattern. Eek! And yes, my SIL absolutely loves it! Thanks for watching! ~Kim
Hey ladies! Love your sweaters. Jonna, your Nordiska is gorgeous! Kim, your hat design turned out awesome! So glad you’re both feeling better. You’re always so fun to hang out with. 😊
I was so glad to see a new podcast up and that you are both well. A lot has been going on your lives. Kim, I love the idea of keeping your intarsia knitting on a tray to confine all the bobbins. Genius! But there is no way I could have all those ends going at once. Too much for me. I love your sweaters. It takes me a long time to make them. I keep thinking that I will make more when I retire in a couple of years. Jonna, over 20 years ago, I came up with that same idea for keeping my needles. I had a lot of dpns back then. I got a 4" binder that feels like canvas. I wrote "Knitting Needles" on the end, so I could identify it on a shelf. I bought the zippered pouches made for 3 ring binders to hold school supplies in. I used a permanent marker to write the size needles on the pouches. Best dpn keeper ever! Have a great spring and summer. Look forward to seeing you next time.
Thank you! Another viewer mentioned (and I thought this was genius) to write the brand and type of needle on a card inside the pouch so you don't have to pull them out to see which length cords you might have. I will definitely do this too!
Glad to see you are both healthy! Joanna, the blue is beautiful! It should make a stunning sweater. For summer tops I have to imagine that you both have favorite sweaters that you could use to make a short sleeved summer weight top. I really like the Rock It tee by Tania LaValle because it is so versatile. Love the podcast! Long episodes just mean I get more knitting done while you keep me company.
The Rock It Tee is in my queue! I think we both need something like it in our wardrobes. I'm always bummed when Arne & Carlos' 15 minutes are up!! xoxo Jonna
As long as it was, I thoroughly enjoyed dipping in and out of this episode - 'twas a welcome break between having the in-laws visit and more home reno-errands. 🥴 Kim -- good to know I'm not the only one who wakes up uber early to knit (even on vacation) 😆 Jonna - Your Liberty quilt is EVERYTHING 🙌 I think you've also convinced me to finally cast on a Nordiska. 😄 Seriously, so many inspiring and gorgeous projects!! 💞
Haha! It was so long! But we had so much to talk about. Thank you for watching and supporting and moving to Westchester. We're so happy to be two of your new knitting friends. :) K&J
Kim, I LOVE the color block sweater and Jonna, I LOVE the the boylandknit sweater (never occured to me that you can simply add more length to make it wearable, cuz I just can't wear cropped length anything). I am a knitter from Korea and it was surprising in a good way to be able to recognize alot of the patterns and yarns you were showing. This is the first time i saw your video (Thank you UA-cam algo!) and I had to subscribe. Not long at all, I enjoyed every minute of it and i'll run thru all previous episodes while i wait for the ep.6.
Hi Hailey! We're so happy you love our sweaters and our channel. And yes, you can always add length to the body if you don't want a cropped sweater. Thanks for watching! ~K&J
Soooo - I was looking for a knitting podcast to kinda keep me company and WOW! I found you guys! Now, I am super inspired to knit a new cardi! Love Kim’s color block sweater, not yet tackled intarsia - Jonna’s is gorgeous! Magic loop sock knitting is my absolute fav. My LYS has changed their hours so our Wednesday knit nite has not yet restarted. Thank you so much for your fun!
I been admiring your beautiful sweater. I want those exact colors but I have never finished a sweater. Your first one??? OMG! Love both your sweaters. The idea to switch the stitch markers is really really great idea. The big veeneck is good for me and the tunic slaches are also. I spend so much time watching knitters, I would be better if I just knitted. HUGS, PAM
If we get 2 weeks of sweater weather, it's good, lol. My shawls and cardigans get the most use because it is always cold inside. I LOVE McKinney Knittery. Glad you got to visit. It's a bit of a drive from where I am but we try to make it 2-3 times a year!
Yippee such happy wips! Love your ranunculus, I'm queuing up now to make my mom one. Kim's fortitude is huge for sticking with that intarsia, you should get an award when you're done. I so enjoy your chats, and wishing you gals a wonderful spring
Hi Derek, Thank you so much for watching! And your mom will love her Ranunculus. The intarsia isn't as bad as it looks. Just knit one stitch at a time and eventually it's finished. Happy Spring to you! K&J
Love the tray idea!! I have animals that love to play with projects I put down to answer the door, go to the bathroom, etc. So glad you are feeling better and are back. I'm recovering from knee surgery and as very happy to spend this morning with both of you!
Love watching you both. So glad you’re better! And NO, I look forward to watching Kim knit that Amina sweater, but no way would I try it! Stay well and enjoy the hopefully warm days ahead. ❤️
We have entire families of ground hogs. We put up an electric fence around the garden. It doesn’t keep everything out, but we can get a lot more than we would without it. They can chew through a garden in one night. Then there are the rabbits, deer, squirrels, etc.
I think that is the only thing that might work. Yes, he destroyed everything in short order!! The chipmunks like the tomatoes. The beds are raised so it keeps the rabbits out and it's fenced so no deer. :-)
Felted Slipper MAL!!! So thrilled you shared about felted slippers!! I also want to make a pair and then was thinking Christmas presents!! I was out of town for my LYS's class. Hoping I can get them to do it again late summer/early fall.
When you turned the intarsia project around, my eyes got as big as saucers. I’ve never had a reaction like that to seeing a project! More power to you for tackling it, it will be beautiful.
Haha! I wish I could have been there to see your reaction. So funny. But it's not as bad as it looks. Just trying to knit one stitch at a time and eventually it will be finished. ~Kim
I often use something called a Wonder Washer, it's a little countertop washer, for lingerie. I got mine on Amazon, not expensive. I also have great luck with a washboard in the kitchen sink, with Dawn dish liquid! Make sure your water is warm enough, as well! Those slippers are very cute!
Kim, so good to hear you are starting to enter your projects on Ravelry. It can be so helpful when we want to check on a project you knit and we would like to do the same instead of searching videos. 😊 ❤️❤️❤️
Another lovely episode, great to see what you have been up to. Your colourblock sweater is very you Kim (I say it like I know you 😜), eye-catching and unique, I’m going to remember that idea in a simple design. And I’m completely taken by your Nordiska Jonna that I’ve already ordered the yarn 😍
It's so good to see you both again healthy & beautiful! I hope this Spring brings you continued good health & happiness. I love seeing pictures of your families and travels too.
Beautiful projects, ladies! Oh, and NO to that sweater Kim, never would I ever...I bow to your knitting power. That blue Rununculs is going to be amazing. Stay well and knit on.
Another great store near McKinney is wonderous store in Farmersville called Yarn and You. Stacy is the owner. What a gracious. Helpful, lovely lady snd her store has such a peaceful space and the yarn is amazing. Hope you check it out next trip
You really cheer me up with your banter. You can tell what good friends you are and so lucky to have a knitting buddy in each other. Lovely projects as usual. Kim, your sweater was a colourful work of art. Definitely influenced by your work with children I think and your bubbly personality. Best wishes Anita x
Hi Anity, We're so happy we cheer you up and that our friendship shines through. We're very blessed to have met each other. Thank you so much for watching and commenting! ~K&J
Well, I just found your podcast and did a Kim and went back to video one and have binged watched clear up to this last one. SO much I could commment on! I just enjoy you two so much! You have brought a smile to my face so many times the past few days. I am like Jonna in that I have several projects on the needles (10, I think) but I have finished all but one that was started previous to 2022 and I think I am frogging it as I'm just no longer in love with it. But Kim impresses me with her monogamous knitting so I have decided I am going to monogamous knit 2 projects and work through them until I am down to just one. This however will not include my purse socks. Lol! Glad you are all better and look forward to seeing you again soon!
Hello Girls It’s brilliant to have you back and to catch up with what you have been doing. You both have some wonderful projects and you are both wonderful knitter’s. See you soon. Take care 👵 xx
So nice to see Norwegian yarn in use and talked about. Finull is made from norwegian sheep, and 100% made in Norway. Sandnes Garn often uses wool from other countries, not Norway - so look out for the origin of the wool in their brands. That said, I often envy those being able to buy wonderful yarn from Canada or the US. Taxes and shipping are stopping me from trying interesting yarn that way. Love your channel - love from Norway.
Thank you! The quality of the finull is outstanding. I loved working with it and the colors are so beautiful. It's durable, affordable and next-to-skin soft. What more can you ask for?n Kim and I want to visit Norway (and secretly want to hang out with Arne and Carlos) as soon as we can! We are fortunate to have access to many locally-produced yarns here. Thank you for watching! Jonna
Wow! Amazing sweater knitting you have done. Caitlin Hunter has a 50% off pattern sale today, so I downloaded the Nordiska after seeing yours, Jonna. The colour blocked sweater is amazing Kim- how did you do that in 2 weeks? I just did that trick moving the stitch markers on my second sleeve and second sock and thought I was so clever and there you are doing it too-aren’t we amazing! Lol! That quilt for your granddaughter is so pretty - I wish I had the talent and confidence to pick out and arrange colours like you. So glad you are both feeling better! Great fun spending an afternoon with such charming virtual knitting buddies!
Yes we ARE amazing!! The Nordiska was a fun knit for sure. Kim is a super fast knitter! The fabric for the quilt came in a bundle so at least I didn't have to pick out the prints. I feel like they would all go together in any configuration bc they're so pretty! Thank you! xoxo Jonna
Both you ladies are such an inspiration ! Kim- I hope to someday knit an Orkney sweater. Jonna, I been thinking about a quilt. Thank you for your podcast!
I love the needle idea for organization. Easier to see what you have. Chiaogo needle interchangeables are nice and I have them. Ladies love your chatter time and hi to Felicia in the background.
Lovely episode ladies. Your sweaters are beautiful. And that hat, Kim! It turned out great and I can’t believe you made it up as you went! You ladies are so talented. As one person commented, I need to step up my Ranunculus game also. 😂
I just love watching you two. Jonna, thanks for the tip on using the light bulb markers on sleeve increases. I'm starting on sleeves and have all my markers ready to go!
Oh no!!! So sorry to hear that you're sick. We hope you're on the mend though and are happy we were able to be some comfort. Hopefully, you're well enough to knit. I had to take about three days off, lol!
Hi in one of your episodes you talked about going up or down needle sizes to make a sweater that fits I found a web resource by TinCanKnits about knitting a sweater to your gauge using some simple math. Multiply your “# of stitches per inch X # of inches desired ( the size you want to make) = # of “required stitches” to make the sweater at your gauge. You then just go to the place in the pattern after you have divided for sleeves and casted on your underarm stitches and that is where you will find the total # of stitches needed to match your “required stitches”
Hi Julie, Haha! It makes me shudder sometimes too, but I'm just trying to take it one stitch at a time and not worry about all those ends. And as for skills, it's just knitting! If you can knit and purl, you have the skills to knit intarsia. ~Kim
Jonna your No Frills makes me want to knit one myself! Gorgeous!! And oh my gosh Kim your Amina is crazy! 😂 I can’t even imagine trying to keep all of those yarns straight. I wonder-have you experimented with making butterfly bobbins? That’s what I used for my Anne Boleyn for the intarsia bobbles and that worked a treat. Thanks for another great podcast!
Your sweater is GORGEOUS!! I completely love my No Frills and wear it all the time. I can't wait to make another one. Such a comfort knit, too. I think she did try butterfly bobbins but settled on Bob-EEZ and she loves them. Nice to "see" you! xoxo
Welcome back! So glad you’re both feeling better, nothing worse than being ill. Thanks for another lovely funfilled, inspiring episode. And hell no I would not want to weave in all those ends on Kims wip, it gave me anxiety just looking at it😱😳 enjoy the wedding 🥰
Haha, ME too!! And, I don't even mind weaving in ends but that's a whole other level! I seriously need to finish my wedding ranunculus TODAY!! Will post pics of the festivities!! xoxo Jonna
I didn’t think I was in the market for an intarsia sweater but maybe I am now! I do like the dangle method for intarsia- so much easier than untangling butterflies or bobbins. You both did a lot of knitting, very nice 👍 👍
Fun episode, thank you both. Adore the baby blue Ranunculus so much may rethink knitting myself one. Takes a special kind of knitter to tackle the Amina Kim👍.
Thank you! I had a dream last night that the blue silk skirt I made to match suddenly turned into unicorn colors!!! Beautiful, but not the look I am after, lol!! xoxo Jonna
Great podcast. Beautiful finished projects, Kim - I love, love your colour block sweater, perfection. Jonna - your Nordiska is fantastic as well. Cheers from Alberta Canada.
Hi ladies! First time viewer here - I came to you by way of Kristin’a (Voolenvine) channel. What a lovely podcast and your knits are BEAUTIFUL! Can’t wait to see your next one. :)
Haha, right? Jonna wouldn't touch that either! Definitely besties!
Best video ever. Knitting and quilting! Yay. Quilt top is lovely! Lucky Eleanor.
I hear the harmonica music start up and I immediately smile. Thank you both for the entertainment! Your fearlessness in knitting is inspiring!
These are NEVER TOO LONG! Another wonderful podcast. Thank you both!
Enjoyed this episode so much! Glad you are both feeling better 💖 Kim, the Cowboys hat turned out fabulous - you are a designer! Jonna, the colorwork on your sweater is beautiful.

Jonna! I've never seen a quilt done in a fade! Thanks for sharing. : ) Gorgeous!!
Thank you!
Wow, Kim, you turned that intarsia project around and I thought “No way, not worth it” I’m with you Jonna, but kudos to you Kim for sticking with it. It is definitely going to be lovely when you are finished!
Haha! It definitely looks scary, but I'm just taking it one stitch at a time and trying not to stress over all of the ends to weave in. ~Kim
Oh my gosh, it's FASCINATING to see the back of the Amina after seeing it finished in your more recent episodes! It's a wild little yarn zoo there.
It really is! 😂
Drooling over that ranunculus- the olive green is so nice

Kim and Joanna your sweaters are gorgeous! Such a great inspiring podcast x
Thank you so much!
I think this is the first one I've watched. I've heard a lot about you from other podcasts. I'm glad you are both well. Kim, I love your sweater.
Welcome! Yes, we’re well, thank you.

Oh, Kim, you are so brave tackling that Amina sweater! Can’t wait to see you wearing it! Love watching you both while I knit! 💕💕💕

Oh my gosh! Kim your a genius trying to do this Dallas Cowboys hat. It’s so incredible. Your son in law is going to love it!
He does! He wears it every day, even in the house. Yay! :) Kim
Thank you - I very much enjoyed my knitting time with you! Best wishes from Germany, Juliane.
Found my way here via Kristin at Voolenvine and as soon as the music started I knew I had found my people. 💕
Love this! And love Kristin! :) K&J
Glad you are finally well and back on line..

Lols, commented before the picture.
Haha! You'll hear even more about it in future videos. :) Kim
I got up at 3 in the morning to watch! Could not wait. So glad you are back. Lovely podcast full of content.
Wow! You got up at 3:00 am to watch? You must be our #1 fan. :)

You can do it!!
It always fascinates me to see how much you get finished.
😂 This was an exceptional amount of FOs because we didn’t film an episode in March. I (Kim) might not have any FOs for E6! 😬
If we get 2 weeks of sweater weather, it's good, lol. My shawls and cardigans get the most use because it is always cold inside. I LOVE McKinney Knittery. Glad you got to visit. It's a bit of a drive from where I am but we try to make it 2-3 times a year!

You both are a lot of fun and I love the tips you kind of throw in as you discuss your knitting.

Love your podcast: so much inspiration; love the details, finished projects and WIPS; and your 'down to earth' presentation!
Awwww... Thank you so much for your kind feedback. We're still surprised that anyone watches us. Haha!
Happy knitting! ~K&J
So so happy to see you both again. Keep healthy as miss you ladies when you are away.
Love watching you both. So glad you’re better! And NO, I look forward to watching Kim knit that Amina sweater, but no way would I try it! Stay well and enjoy the hopefully warm days ahead. ❤️
Welcome back Ladies!
Love your projects! So fun to watch you and be inspired
Glad you're feeling better! I love your choices of yarn and patterns. I love Jonna's organizational tips! Thanks Rosie
I just called Pick Up Every Stitch to order the set for the felted slippers!! They were so wonderful. I can't wait to get the order and get started 🤗
Glad you like them!
I love that needle case idea!!!!! I am going to do that!!!
I think I need a larger binder! You're very welcome!
Kim, so good to hear you are starting to enter your projects on Ravelry. It can be so helpful when we want to check on a project you knit and we would like to do the same instead of searching videos. 😊 ❤️❤️❤️
I'm trying. :) ~Kim
I missed watching these so much!!
Thank you SO much!
Good to know! Thank you ❤️
LOVE your sweater Kim!! Greetings from Chile 🇨🇱
Thank you! :) Kim
Thank you for sharing your beautiful knits with us! Love your color block sweater Kim and Jonna's colorwork sweater.
You really cheer me up with your banter. You can tell what good friends you are and so lucky to have a knitting buddy in each other. Lovely projects as usual. Kim, your sweater was a colourful work of art. Definitely influenced by your work with children I think and your bubbly personality. Best wishes Anita x
Hi Anity,
We're so happy we cheer you up and that our friendship shines through. We're very blessed to have met each other.
Thank you so much for watching and commenting! ~K&J
Sweater cuffs are the same as sock cuffs, so I use my 9” needles after using 12” needles for the arms! It works great for me
Well, I just found your podcast and did a Kim and went back to video one and have binged watched clear up to this last one.
Hello Girls
It’s brilliant to have you back and to catch up with what you have been doing. You both have some wonderful projects and you are both wonderful knitter’s. See you soon. Take care 👵 xx
Loved this episode, so glad you're back and feeling better. You both inspire me to try new projects!
It's so good to see youboth back, looking healthy & happy. Well done on the cowboys hat! It's so much fun to take a break with you.
Kim, I love your color block sweater! It looks so comfy and the neutral color you used for the body make all the brights come together beautifully!
Love all the great projects, Kim’s Intarsia project is EPIC! I am happy to experience that kind of knit through you lol.
Love you gals and so happy your back!. I didn't even think this was a long video , so entertaining. Take Care
So lovely to have you back, ladies! Your projects are wonderful as usual :)
A great episode. Love your sweaters and the slippers! Have a happy April.
So good to have y’all back!! I love your fun, informative podcasts! Thank you!
I just love watching you two. Jonna, thanks for the tip on using the light bulb markers on sleeve increases. I'm starting on sleeves and have all my markers ready to go!
I love listening to you. You are amazing. So inspiring. I need to get knitting on some short sleeves sweater.
I'm so glad to see your latest episode. I'm stuck at home with COVID and you two have cheered my day up no end. Thank you
Tin Can Knits is a great resource. Thank you for sharing!
Oh Kim your intarsia sweater made me shudder. I would never have the skills required! Yet I’m anxious to see how it turns out ❤️
I can’t say what would fail first….my skills or my patience.
Hi Julie,
Haha! It makes me shudder sometimes too, but I'm just trying to take it one stitch at a time and not worry about all those ends. And as for skills, it's just knitting! If you can knit and purl, you have the skills to knit intarsia. ~Kim
What beautiful inspiring sweaters! Ant time you podcast is great. Can’t wait to hear more of the groundhog adventures
Nice to "see" you! xoxo
Lovely to see you back. I particularly like the chat after the official podcast. So funny
Will post pics of the festivities!! xoxo Jonna
What a wonderful episode. Thanks so much! Greetings from the DC area
Oh my goodness - I love that colourblocked sweater - I have favourited it on Ravelry so thanks for putting it up there - great inspiration!
Love the colorblock sweater!
Beautiful, but not the look I am after, lol!! xoxo Jonna
Love watching you girls! Your knits are Fabulous! So inspiring!
Great podcast. Beautiful finished projects, Kim - I love, love your colour block sweater, perfection. Jonna - your Nordiska is fantastic as well. Cheers from Alberta Canada.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Cheers from New York!
~K&J
Kim, I just favorited your color block sweater in Ravelry. I love it! 🧡🧶
Hi ladies! First time viewer here - I came to you by way of Kristin’a (Voolenvine) channel. What a lovely podcast and your knits are BEAUTIFUL! Can’t wait to see your next one. :)
