From an all organic distribution center i can shred cardboard, fruits, veg, melons, etc. I want something just like this machine, only 2 times as big, fits on a small trailer and the motor also turns a conveyor belt that feeds into a landscape type dump truck. I was thinking about this myself and wonder if I could get on a site and ask people to donate circular saw blades. 2 or 3 blades welded/tied together instead of the 1/2 thick plate. The bars could easily be square stock (and if you knew someone with a milling machine then they could shave off the edges to make it octagon instead of square). Bout as far as I have thought it theough tho...

    • @adammulcahy644
      @adammulcahy644 2 роки тому

      @@wikkedspindl don’t think the circular saw blade idea would work. It would want to be one single piece and be made from a high grade stainless or a d2 or tool steel. Also you would have to get round stock and mill the flat spots as you need the round parts for slipping through the bearings and gears

    • @wikkedspindl
      @wikkedspindl 2 роки тому +1

      I'm talking as far as simpler stuff like plastics. Slow speeds and the the blades just can be welded to a rod. No need for overcomplicating it with the need of excessively expensive machines for a cheap home made tool. As for the blades, used or new a good slower speed high torque motor would just chew through the softer materials all day with less heating up (probably add a flyid for coolant and lubrication before someone comes at me on that, Lol)

    • @OneManEngineering
      @OneManEngineering 2 роки тому +1

      @@wikkedspindl the saw blade idea would only work with high speed and low torque. For ex “shredding” green vegetation, bushes, smaller branches maybe??? Essentially you’re just making sawdust out of everything goes down the hatch!
      Shredding is low speed high torque application, hence the thicker material. For plastic and such, regular mild steel would work. But for harder material, bigger branches etc I’d suggest some O2 steel plate, hardened and tempered.
      Hope it helps, Greg

      How to make

    • @mtraven23
      @mtraven23 5 років тому +7

      its how to assemble. he does(shows) literally no fabrication...and he doesn't even have basic proper tooling(crescent wrenches). And this thing is rickety as hell, look at all the fixed blades wobble all over the place. Everything is sloppy and built on huge tolerances...this is a D+ shredder at best and its sloppiness is only going to get worse over time. And eats through anything? it was barley getting through fruit. Nice first attempt, but you ought to build a new one (and fire your machinist), you will be happy you did (I say this as a guy who has built 4 shredders.)
      Also you say your using iron pillars / shielding. The frame is pretty clearly welded steel and maybe the lighting is weird, but the cutters & fixed blades look like aluminum to me. At a second look, maybe they are iron and you painted them? Both painting & iron are odd choices.
      If you are going to double nut the gears to the shafts (instead of a proper positive drive, like a keyway), you put a wrench on both, back the inner nut up while tightening the outer nut, thats how you lock them together, what you did is no better than a single nut

This kit would include all the necessary materials except the electrical components. A cover over the machine would be added. I would like to see a crush limiting switch be integrated for safety and not to damage the components. You need to also show how a person can create passive or residual income. You can no longer sustain yourself working an hour for an hour's wages. If you need assistance, I will provide it free. This is to celebrate a freedom of those who are willing to create and share. Most of us do not have the capacity, time nor resources to do what you have done. You have share something that is more than a DIY shredder - you show that we can build things and thus rely upon those creations to sustain our lives and to contribute to a better world.

    Que función cumplirían los separadores que coloca al último?

    • @V_Idea
      @V_Idea  Місяць тому +1

      These are separate teeth, which hug around (almost 1/2) the circular teeth along the axis. They have the function of preventing crushed material pieces from sticking to the gaps between the teeth. And also have the function of crushing large materials when starting to crush.

    Nice video . One thing though . Do never hit the bearing with the hammer . Use instead an Plastic ring (20mm cutting from a drainage pipe would do) and a rubber . 😉 cheers m8 keep it up !

    you wrote 40kW, that can not be right. That would be well over 100 amps! That can not stand your household socket!
