Air Fryer Green Beans that look and taste just like my mom's garlic green beans! What's special about these air fryer green beans is that they mimic the tender texture of Chinese-restaurant style green beans without using a lot of oil.
Par-cooking the green beans before air frying is a crucial step. This helps soften the green beans on the inside, so you don’t need to cook them as long in the air fryer. The air frying finishes the cooking and lightly wrinkles the skin, yielding perfectly tender green beans. And the green beans are actually vibrant green once they're done!
NOTE: There is a recall on Cosori air fryers, like the one I used in my video. If you have one, stop using it, and check to see if it is part of the recall on Cosori's site. I am in the process of replacing my air fryer!
You can serve these green beans with a bit of jasmine rice (or egg fried rice) and teriyaki tofu for a full meal!
