Triangles are more stable because their sides are less likely to break or something. A square's sides are alot more likely to break cuz not all sides are connected to each other directly if that makes sence. Plus triangles use less materiels so it's more cost effective. This has been nearly 20 minutes of the best thing. The perfect timing of the bridge collapses. That one car that kept getting stuck. Your reaction when they somehow work out Just... Perfection.
One of my greatest fears in life is driving across a bridge just as it decides to collapse, condemning me to a suffocating grave in the depths of the water. Every time that bridge collapsed, I saw myself. Screaming. Screaming to a God named Sophie. And she said... "F**k that guy". And then I wept.
Genuinely wasn't sure if I was going to like the video, and then I started watching and remembered its valkyrie that's playing and the reactions are just amazing, I couldn't stop being sucked in and laughing. Thanks for making me belly laugh hard, I needed it.
When I get home for the summer I’m going to get my engineer of a father to play this game. I’ll re-comment what he thinks if there are enough people who care.
I was laughing and crying at how horribly bad she was at this. So much knowledge was just out the window watching her throw whatever she could and essentially pray something worked. This was brilliant. Bravo
I remember playing bridge building flash games back as a 15 year old, so I wasn't expecting Sophie to have any issues... I was wrong in the best way possible. We all love you Soph, that's the important part.
Sophie would be an incredibly valuable asset to a team of bridge-building engineers. All they need to do is show her the plans and if she says it looks stable then they know they did it wrong and they have work to do.
This is... astounding. I kinda wonder what an actual architect would think, seeing this; it's either gotta be absolutely hilarious or heartbreaking, but both are funny anyway

I learned two things in this vid:
-Watching people building bridges is oddly satisfiying
-Sophie is not really good at building bridges
"Not really good at building bridges" understatement of the year.
You forgot the most important part: Sophie has a dick.
"Anyone can build a bridge that stands, but it takes an engineer to build one that just barely stands".
Bridge construction is styling on physics.
that actually makes sense
@@russetwolf13 All you need is triangles and bridge ballast.
17 minutes of:

"it'll be fine that'll work" *bridge breaks immediately*
I love it, just too funny

Sophie spends time building bridges and questioning physics while sick.
A day well spent
Strut: Visibly not loadbearing, dangling off the road.
Aurora: PERFECT
Ma'am, this bridge is highly unstable.
Sophie: Just add more triangles, man.
4:59 Sophis bulding skills was so bad the car decided to take suicide
That part was gold.
Engineer: The weight and balance countershift of a bridge is very important.
Sophie: TRIANGLES !
Sophie saying "that'll work" has so much chaotic energy behind it, like she's invoking some higher power to prove her wrong
"It's very demoralizing to be so excited about something working, and then it just doesn't."

Seems school isn't that useless, now i know useless bridge trivia.
It's due to the fact the shape of the triangle distributes pressure away from a single point, meaning it's less likely to break under weight

The tutorial showed everything you needed but all you knew was “triangles mean stable, ez pz”
And it was the CHAT who told her that. She didn't get that from the game.
