Hello, thank you for your video I very much enjoyed it so I liked and subscribed... I currently live in Louisville KY but desire to move to Jacksonville FL sometime later this year, however, I have some concerns about finding an affordable and decent place to live before I head down there. I know nothing about Jacksonville and where I should even begin looking via phone calls regarding apartments and my credit also isn't great due to medical bills from many years ago and I also have a non violent non drug related felony from a decade ago... If I had 3 grand laying around to pay a lawyer I could have it removed but I don't... I know a lot of places are pretty strict about background and credit checks. I've not been in any trouble since that time nor was I in any trouble before then and since then Ive acquired my WV journeyman electrician license as well as graduated with honors with an associate's degree in electrical engineering technology. If possible could you please help me in regards to finding places to live in Jacksonville that are willing to work with someone in my situation or perhaps someone in the comments would be kind enough to help. Any help would be greatly appreciated... Thank you...
I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.
I feel your pain mate, as a fellow retiree, I’d suggest you look into passive index fund investing and learn some more. For me, I had my share of ups and downs when I first started looking for a consistent passive income so I hired an expert advisor for aid, and following her advice, I poured $30k in value stocks and digital assets, Up to 200k so far and pretty sure I'm ready for whatever comes.
@@Elliot-Ivan : The crazy part is that those advisors are probably outperforming the market and raising good returns but some are charging fees over fees that drain your portfolio. Is this the case with yours too?
I moved to Jacksonville a year ago from nyc with my family and I love it. So many things to do with kids . Coming from north all what she said in the video it’s nothing for me . Beautiful place to raise your family such a nice wonderful people.
the best thing I did was move from this city nothing to do lil jobs, I live in Hallandale Beach Fl which is close to Miami and Hollywood Beach Fl the night life is great it's a lot of jobs that's available and paying good.
LOL love the humor in here. And Omigosh yes, there’s always construction going on. I even wondered is it just FL that’s always changing the name of the highways lol. When I first moved to FL, there so many differences. I miss the four seasons living in the east coast. But in FL, we sure do skip some seasons lol. Or should I say we live in the weathers of two seasons at the same time. We have to wear a coat in the morning and flip flop for the afternoon lol.

Only in certain parts, just like any city we have our rough areas but 90% of Jacksonville is beautiful and it’s such a large city that there’s so many different neighborhoods each with its own culture. Wanna know more? Text me! 904-207-1209 ☺️
Temp surprised me and when she said it's the largest city but those drives I'm confused about I measure by how long it takes me to get from most North point to south point or east to west. Boston is like a 30 min ride end to end in good traffic and I feel like we are a small city compared to LA chi NY etc
Hi Devan, we are much smaller in population compared to those major cities, but Jacksonville’s footprint is larger. Within the city limits of Jacksonville is the largest acreage in the US with Jacksonville city limits spanning all the way from Jacksonville beach past 295 on the west side.
Jacksonville has a very country vibe. From the city within a flat pine forest, huge country music concerts, Monster Truck Jam, love for Nascar, professional wrestling, love for sweet ice tea, Baldwin, Jacksonville is very southern - country. You're not going to find a South Beach, Ybor City or Disney in Jacksonville.
I could agree with that SUPREME B! Although we do have our hidden gems! My video posting this Wednesday talks all about the the reasons I love Jacksonville. Hope you'll check it out! Thanks for commenting and have a good evening!
I have visited Jax twice in the last 30 days (I live in SC--5 hour drive) and fell in LOVE with the Jacksonville Beach area. I was like...you ain't scaring me away....until you got to number 1!!! Errr...now I am nervous. But I still want to move there!

We do have some hot and humid days but nothing like what you hear about in Tampa or South Florida. It stays relatively cooler in North Florida. The alligators stay near ponds, lakes and woods. Rarely are they in densely populated areas.

How are salaries compared to cost of living in Jacksonville Florida? Saving is my #1 priority, even I gotta hunt gators 🐊 on the side to make some gator boots lol 😂
Cost of living is relatively low compared to other major cities and depending on your industry, salaries are pretty good. There’s a lot of opportunity here as this city continues to grow and grow!
I had to look it up, but apparently you can not. There is a season to hunt gator and you need a permit, similar to deer. Otherwise, killing a gator is a 3rd degree felony!

I've lived in Jacksonville for 10 years and I've never seen an alligator I think you're trying to scare people, all these alligator videos are from south florida.
I think it depends on your part of town. There’s definitely none in some areas, ever. But in Bartram Park, they’re often in the ponds, in St, Johns, they’re seen weekly, on the west side, forget about it!
