The show saying that the cyanide pill is the most humane thing vault tec ever made is so depressingly accurate i burst out laughing.
That definitely a joke for insiders
Vault tec's most humane product a C pill that tastes like banana. The best item any company in this universe has ever made.
@@AlbertoMartinez765 Show elaborates on VT too. People will see how bad is VT in later episodes.
@@whiskeye7552 Yeah, Vault Tec makes the worst of the German and Soviet nutcases look almost sane, yeesh :(
For me was when Titus mentioned going on a quest for a toaster. If this is near Big Mountain then there's a pretty nasty toaster there plotting doom and destruction. Don't mock the mighty toaster.
“FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK” -The brave and valiant Sir Titus
Yeah he is so "brave"
That's the moment hit me whoever inside that suit is a coward.
To be fair, that was my exact reaction to coming across a yao guai in the games as well
Respect the "Holy Grail" reference... the brave Sir Robin.
Or from "The Knight Whose Armour Didn't Squeak" Alan Alexander Milne.
@@EhFrank Exactly, reminded me SO MUCH of the sort of thing that happens to Fallout players.
1. Get a suit of power armor
2. Go explore a cave
3. ?????
4. Flee from cave on your last 2 HP going "FUCKFUCKFUCKFUCK" while being chased by a yaoguai/deathclaw/cazadores
"He's trying to put his brain in a dog...that makes the least amount of sense, right?"
Not in Fallout, no.
Exactly. They even put a dog's brain into a gun.
This just Tiesday for them.
Is Doctor Henry still working?
That’s the exact comment I was going to type 😆
wouldn't be surprising xD it is fallout
That knight is all of us when we encounter a deathclaw😭😭
Imagine if he actually had! (I do kinda hope they have one in here somewhere) The Yao guai is bad enough. O_O
@@dust_bin_gaming7319 we need to see a super mutant behemoth in season 2
@@matthewflores4183 If it gets that far. Would be interesting to see the FEV toxin, and how they affected people (and making Mutants) in live action.
@@dust_bin_gaming7319 I'm pretty sure that F.E.V. was being used on the test subjects in vault 4 aswell

The knight turning out to be a freaked out and cowardly Michael Rappaport had me cracking up
Me too😂😂
It was perfect 🤣
because that is him in real life too, so only good written part in the entire show lol
I seriously fell over laughing.
It's the most appropriate casting I've ever seen.
I love that they kept Stimpaks exactly how they are.
That is why I collected as many of them as possible.
You missed one detail. The ghoul saved the dog inorder to track the target as the dog can sniff out his master
Everybody seems to miss that
Ohh i thought he only saved him for eating him just in case if food go low
Stimpacks are capable of instant health and bone regeneration
I've played all the games and I didn't know that, I thought it was just generic medicine for gameplays sake
Damn. I'd love to have one in real life 😂
@@ladyhotep5189 Would never happen. Pharma companies don't make money with healthy people.
Like Todd Howard says "It just works".
@@Captianmex1C0 this isn't true, it can't heal broken bones in Canon it's just a game mechanic. If you go to the wiki it says what stimpaks are capable of. It can only boost the regenerating of your wounds which works instantaneously but it does not actually heal bones canonically. it even says that you can use stims if you have a heart condition but only works temporarily in that manner.
Didnt make the edit but I was in tears when the guy she asks for directions says "My Aunt, she died there once too".
"all this could be yours!"
They also left out “she steals dads!”.
The “once” cracked me up
Michael Emerson worked with show runner Jonathan Nolan on a great show called Person Of Interest a decade ago, he played a genius scientist who walked with a limp and had a German Shepard to protect him. And for Fallout he played a genius scientist who walked with a limp and had a German Shepard to protect him.🤣🤣🤣
Bear was a Belgian Malinois, but I'll nerd emoji myself for correcting you so nobody else has to: 🤓
Anyways, love POI. Criminally underrated show.
He was Im Movie Saw i think the first One as the nurse Zep
I remember Person of Interest, it was a great show!
@@housel9352 Yup, Bear was awesome and a Belgian Malinois indeed! POI was a great show also with a soundtrack by Ramin Djawadi. I still listen to it nowadays.
both dogs are belgian malinois
Todd Howard, director of the modern Fallout games, has said the gun being out while asking for directions was also a nod to the games as players would often approach people with their gun out. (In the games you have to hold a button to holster your weapon)
You mean there are people out there who don't take off their headgear and start RP walking as soon as they spot an NPC?
@@vanyadolly Once i finally get a PC, the fully modded RP run of New Vegas is gonna go hard af
And the dude stands in a pose like many NPCs do in the Isometric Fallouts...
i may or may not have stayed up the whole night binging the entire series
Same. Just got done this very moment.
yeah.... me too
Worth it!
So did they really retcon New Vegas?
@@Razgriz_01 its not totally clear but it potentially retcons some minor parts of the game
@@chillslug Fuck... welp I enjoyed episode 1 at least.
I hope whatever they do with season 2 shows they didn't completely retcon all of NV, otherwise this show is just gonna leave a bad taste in my mouth.
the geiger counter in built in the Pipboy, she used it earlier to identify the radioactive raider/husband
A really useful tool!
Her talking to that random guy outside of Filly with her weapon drawn and aimed at him feels like a reference to video game logic lol
that's not just for the fans. in the game when you collect bobble heads you gain perks so everytime she sees one she get inspired courage etc
Bobble heads are really useful, specially in the early game.
I got the exact same one on my shelf, had it for over a decade. When I saw it in the show I did the Dicaprio meme and pointed lol
@@Quzga i had one someone stole it
Fun fact robo dog brains actually are a thing in this game
just finished the show and its just perfect, a love letter to the fans and i love it 🙌🏼

“I ain’t no skank!” - Ma Jane
Lol yeah took me a minute to realise where i recognized her from.
Ahhhhhh! I thought I recognised her but never got round to looking her up on IMDB
"She's very Achara" perfectly said. Amazing
Something I do enjoy is the show, even though its still dark, doesn't take itself too too serious and theres plenty of humor that land pretty well for me. Loved the episode and the reaction.
That last weapon that lucy cut the doctor's head is the ripper from the games lol
I think it might actually be like a medical version of a ripper. Pretty sure the rippers are military issue and are a little bulkier

This show is what fans have been dreaming of. It was in my opinion perfect. Every episode was top notch and felt like i was in the fallout games.
That bear is called a yao gui
And they are terrifying! Specially for the early and the mid point of the games.
I'd rather face a Yao guai than a Deathclaw though.
@@dust_bin_gaming7319 None of them have anything on the flying demons known as Cazadors
@@azuresky96 Cazadores *are* super annoying, but they still go down to fire relatively quick (so I always pack a flamer when out in the Mojave, soon as I can find one! Preferably one with alt fire that lobs fire bombs).
Use fire on a Deathclaw.. Now you just have a more pissed of Deathclaw, on fire! xD
The only reason he brought the dog back was to track the Doctor. He wasn’t noblw
Both.
She really does have big Archara energy even when being threatening
Who is Archara?
Hehe that Yao Guai was cool. Trust me when I say the vaults where not a place for rich people to hide...they where horrible for some good for others and insane for a few.
I am guessing this is revealed later by the Doctor knowing who she was and what her vault was all a out. IE the experiments he was running were on the people in the vaults
Michael Rappaport yelling "fuck" as he runs out of that cave was so spot on for fallout humor; I cracked up.
Lol but that isn't known by the average surface dweller. Little do they know that sometimes dead is better
Many were big social and environmental experimentation grounds for the unawered.
Gary ...
Just finished the show. I enjoyed the hell out of it.
Cool!
Her giger counter is on her pipboy
When you say putting the scientist brain inside of a dog this is not a spoiler for the TV show but there is a part in the when the fallout games I forgot which one I think it was fallout 3 where they had a dog that had a human brain in it and it was a companion.
It's used in a few games. All the way back to 1m iirc (been ages since I played it).
@@dust_bin_gaming7319 Rex had a human brain in New Vegas. The rest of them were Dogmeat clones apparently.
''Hey its like a video game.'' Ok that made me laugh. Subbed.
The irony with the song playing when max puts on the armor is she singing about a selfish uncaring asshole who cheats on his girl and then gaslights her. Seems on brand for maximus so far.
I gotta say, Maximus was acting guilty af, like he was lying when questioned on if he sabotaged his friend, so either he did do it, and its a dumb script trying to pass off a horrible act as fine or, being generous, the writers see sawed back and forth on whether or not he did it and the footage they went with was “guilty-looking Maximus”, kinda like how in American Psycho, that one interrogation scene was shot in three takes with William Dafoe’s character in the first take not suspecting Bale’s character, then suspecting him, then positive he was the killer, and they mixed snippets of each take in to throw off audiences.
Maybe someone thought mixing takes from “Maximus is guilty” and “Maximus is innocent” shoots would make it more of a mystery or something. Which, hey, fair is fair, it’s a fun little easter egg to another interrogation scene, as long as they definitely show us whether he did sabotage his friend or not at some point.
Also, nothing against the actor, well mostly, but I would have preferred to see his friend as the main BoS initiate/squire protagonist. They just seemed so much more interesting and competent of a character, which is probably why they got anointed to squire at first and not him lol. I hope we see more of her
I don't know what you guys are on about, I think Maximus is just fine - he's a very complicated character that definitely WANTS to be noble amongst a population of significantly worse assholes. He clearly has flaws himself, but he is trying to do the right thing mostly. If you're looking for an absolute paragon, you're certainly not going to find it in the Brotherhood of Steel.
@@zjjohnson3827 Yeah people are waaay more charitable towards him than I expected. I thought he was a psycho since the first episode. 😂An interesting one, sure, but he's clearly not all there. Petty, judgemental, reactionary, and willing to hurt others.
"Just cut it off, easy." Achara you worry me sometimes lol
am i the only one or the guy that plays Maximus could play a goood KANG in marvel? as a replacement for Jonathan Majors? they both look like each others variants..
I love all the pairings of reactors on this channel, but you 2 are always my absolute favorite pair.
I love how each episode has something different going on with the title card.
11:55 - yes, it has similarities with Megaton from Fallout 3, but also with Diamond City from Fallout 4. There's a tall central tower, with a ring of shops and bars surrounding it.
Lucy pointing a gun at the dude while only wanting to ask him for directions is a nod to the fact that you can play the game with your gun constantly out, even when talking to peaceful NPCs.
Second episode so soon?! Lets GO!
And there is one video reaction for the third episode already!
The MUSIC in these scenes, so on point.
"I only played Fallout 3...and the first area..."
Yep, Filly is VERY reminiscent of Megaton. Love it.
The set designs in this so far are SOOO good. From the look and feel of the areas to the props and items from the game from food items to stimpaks. It FEELS like playing the game did. And the writing is on point too, from the naive optimism of the vault dweller to the hard attitude of the bounty hunting ghoul, to the short-on-fks-to-give townsfolk.
Even the creature designs. That mirelurker was surreal!
“I was wondering if he’s putting his brain in the dog….That makes the least amount of sense.”
All of us New Vegas players:….Well actually….
This show is great so far!
I haven't played the games much, but I do really like the optics of the show. When the girl and the scientist were sitting in the dessert at the end and they showed the old donut shop, it looked 100% like the Fallout Wasteland.
It's excellent show!! Loved it! Glad Todd Howard took part in it as an executive producer to make it great for both new and old fans.
Start out with a clear objective, then get roped into doing something for someone you just met. Yeah, that sounds like Fallout to me.
One thing that i absolutely love is the fact that they make a story behind Dogmeat's invulnerability that is often seen in the game, and if not that he gets supplemental strength everytime the player levels up. So the fact that hes an enclave experiment makes it so much more enjoyable
The first episode was rough but man this episode was way more fun. I gotta catch up!
I first noticed the actor playing the doctor in the series LOST...he was amazing in that
When they thre the dog into the incinerator that was crazy
Turrets are terribly inaccurate. That scene portrays them perfectly 😂
"I want to see where this all....heads."' 😆
2:43 She does have one in her pip boy, that's what she used in episode 1.
I really liked the fact that Michael Rapaport turned out to be Titus, that was a fun surprise.
loving the show
The Pipboy int he window wasn't an upgrade actually, it was an earlier model used in Vault 76 out in West Virginia. The model Lucy is using is more advanced.
6:33 Spam's good! It's basically bacon in a can.
Dice them up and lightly toast them, mix in with some garlicky white sauce, serve over pasta and toss a fistful of grated parmesan cheese over the whole thing. What's not to like?
I have heard of people that cook Spam with pineapple.
My mom bought Spam once as a child. 40 years ago. I hated it so much it made me gag and no one in my family likes it. Needless to say she never bought it again and I never tried it again.
@@Fairburne69 Pro-tip: never use Spam that's made close to the production date. Eat the ones that're at least a year old. Or better yet, pick the ones on the shelf that're close to the "best before" date.
Like ham, bacon, and other cured meats, you have to let Spam cure before you eat it. "Older" spam, canned vienna sausages, and other similar products taste a *_lot_* better than the "freshly-made" ones.
I felt bad about that opening because I broke out into awkward laughter of how nonchalantly they threw the puppy into that furnace 😅 I didn't realize initially what they were then a half second before he threw it in I said "aww puppy" then shock and laughter of how ridiculous that was 😂
I appreciate the classic 10mm pistol design
Funniest part is Micheal Rappaport didnt know he was acting. Hes actually that trashy.
Another nice episode that went by so fast. For me, that's when you know a show is good when you want more of it.
Lucy is definitely going to have to adapt to survive if she wants to save her father and I think she will be able to seeing how this episode ended.
Maximus made the right decision in that situation with the knight Titus. I'd have done the same thing because what's the point of saving an A-hole that's just going to try and get you killed later. The sad fact is not everyone deserves saving if they mean harm to you or others.
The Ghoul doesn't seem like a villain to me, but more like an Anti-Hero type. He does what he needs to survive, but doesn't seem to kill unless forced to protect himself. I don't think he killed the Black guy in the first episode, he didn't kill the doctor or the dog. He might've tried to kill Lucy, but only because she shot him with something.
Also I think the reason the head was needed is probably because of the blue thing the doctor injected into his head/neck area. My guess is that it's some kind of data chip.
Enjoyed the reaction 👍👍✌out.
After seeing him let dude die I’m convinced he put that razor blade in the boot. Also I think the Brother Hood are the ones who hurt him as a child
I said the same thing on Reel Rejects, I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed but seems we're in the minority nobody discusses this part. Max is def not the good guy either.
@@ThrghmyEyeZZ Most factions in Fallout are the bad guys.
@christopherplummer1299 don't play the game, but def realized that.
Fallout title is the trigger warning. you need your coffee mug to say it’s hot too?
Oh wait 😂☠️
I genuenly disslike the "iron man" thrusters on the power armor. If they wanted Maximus to fly they could have just given him the Jetpack mod on his back... The thrusters feel lazy and too weak to actually lift all that weight up...
Aside from that the show is spectacular and intertwines with the games lore amazingly!
Good point
Reminds me of the origional Mad Max movies with Mel Gibson. Only difference is Mad Max was about " Gasoline " but still after WW3 .
The Yaoi Bear is one of the most dangerous animals in the game aside from a deathclaw. He was right to run…
When playing the game, lots of people keep the gun in the hand all the time and when they meet people and talk to them, most players don't know which button to press to lower the gun. That's why Lucky pointed the gun while talking.
I'm sure he brought the dog back to track the Doctor ..
The pip boy has a Geiger counter that may or may not need to be manually turned on
I’m so relieved that they didn’t ruin this show. Every time I see a Brotherhood of Steel squire carrying one of those bags I laugh so hard lol they are comically large!
Benjamin Linus Cameo is WILLLLD
Maximus is so charming here
2:27 must be a Storm trooper operator because it missed every shoot xD
Maximus is proven a villain in this episode 🤣 he straight up took an oath and ignored it from beginning to end
09:43 am assuming its an easter egg from the games as most first time players dont learn the controls properly and just end up pointing the gun in there first encounters with npcs
normally destroying ghouls limbs can make it easier to kill them, but a headshot is a best bet, they have some healing so normal shots dont do much.
Just thought I would add a comment that stimpaks are actually lore accurate. I believe Shoddycast made a video all about how they were made in canon and what they do. Makes them make more sense.
2:30 In the game turrets can't shot moving target very well
You should react to Daylight(1996) with Sylvester Stallion
What is that movie about?
@@Dracobyte it's about a group of people trapped inside the Brooklyn tunnel after a toxic explosion. Stallion goes in to try and rescue them all.
I've watched a couple of reacts to this and none seem to realize that the ghoul only saved the dog so it could lead him to its owner.
I haven't played the game and only know what ive seen in the show. Idk if I'd classify the ghoul as a villain.
Therecare many kind of ghouls in the games.
I don't care if he's a legit villain or not. Cowboy Ghoul (or as I keep calling him "Jonah Hex") is the one i care about :)
6:27 AHHH ... CRAM™ very similar to Spam but doesn't have the cool song Spam has.... "Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam… Lovely Spam! Wonderful Spam!" --- Monty Python
I prefer Weird Al's "Spam" done to REM's "Stand"
I think it was supposed to be ambiguous if Titus died from wounds or if Maximus killed him.
Titus Cowardus, the friend of Biggus Dickus.
The Knight had a huge radioactive Yao Guai lying on him. I think the Radiation killed him while he was trapped.
I never noticed this before, but when Knight Titus says to set down the Vertibird, at 4:50 we get a glance at the controls... is that a yellow rubber ducky up there?
They could have release this series at two episodes a week and I think they would have generated more hype. Then again, there is a bit of controversy amongst some of the diehard purist fans of the game and maybe it was just better to get is all out there at once, rather than allow some people to poison the well, so to speak.
I thought the bear was gona be a deathclaw. But I'm sure thats what the show was trying to do. But we might not see a deathclaw till the end of the season or next season.
Yes she has a Geiger counter in her pipboy
The goul used the dog as a tracker..
"I feel like this needed to come with a trigger warning!"
This DID come with a trigger warning: the show is called "Fallout", based on a popular game series thats been around for over 2 decades (i played the 2nd one on a burned copy on my computer 23 years ago) called "Fallout".
Incinerating puppies? It doesn't get softer from there...
Very strong second episode 9.0/10.
So the turret that shoots at the doc isn’t missing on purpose, they’re just really really inaccurate, even in the games
1. I think they just need that implant behind his ear, so it doesn't matter if his head starts to spoil while she's bringing it there. And 2. Wilzig knew she was from Vault 33 and that she's looking for her father. Given how much he already knew about the vaults, I'm sure he was aware of her dad's last name. I can't say he'd know for she it was her dad that was taken, but considering he was the overseer of that vault, it would make the most sense to kidnap him, so I think that Wilzig could figure this out easily.
I think i know what's going to happen with the scientist/doctor dude's brain i already forgot what his name is but i'm not entirely sure i should say what it is that could happen because if it actually happens then i would have spoiled the fate of his brain
I hope you guys can react to Kdrama " Parasyte:The Grey"🔥🔥🔥
I assume no dog was harmed during film production.
0:59 what show is that ?😂
The doctor injected files into his skull, did you forget that scene already. I'm pretty sure they can't read his brain.
don't play video games but I like this show. What I don't get is the time frame. It's supposed to start in 2077 but it looks like the 1950s but without segregation.
Was the stuff at the lab at the beginning of episode 2 supposed to be in 2077? How are the guy & the dog alive 200 and some odd years later?
I get that Walton Goggins character started as the human cowboy at the party and radiation made him a ghoul, but how is he alive 200 years later? Do ghouls not die??
Are the vaults all connected? Clearly 32 and 33 were somehow. Why is it such a big deal to travel between them? You would think they would encourage visitation with other vaults to avoid inbreeding.
in Fallout anything is possible , aliens , ghosts , zombies , beings from other dimensions xD , the show can literally go anywhere
2:12 that gun is my worst enemy in the fallout game
