Supplements PROVEN To Lower Thyroid Antibodies
Вставка

- It's never normal to have elevated antibodies to portions of your thyroid gland floating around in your blood.
The presence of these antibodies indicates that your own body may be trying to attack and destroy your thyroid gland and they are the hallmark of thyroid autoimmune diseases like Hashimoto's thyroiditis and Graves' disease.
And, unfortunately, conventional medicine doesn't have very many great treatment options for lowering these antibodies.
But that isn't a problem because it turns out that there are some great natural supplements that have been proven to help.
These supplements fall into two groups:
Those proven in studies to be beneficial:
1. Nigella sativa
2. Selenium
3. Inositol
4. Iodine reduction
And those shown to be effective based on anecdotal experience and based on known physiologic action:
1. Vitamin D
2. Fish oil
3. Magnesium

My thyroid was completely destroyed by Hashimoto but I went to church and they layed hands on me and prayed. I also began to drink aswaganda, turmeric, garlic, selenium, magnesium and vit d. And believe ut or not, my thyroid began to grow 😊❤

After developing a large left thyroid goiter which was very painful, the endocrinologist said I had thyroiditis with antibodies >600. T3, and T4 were normal. I was given a short term treatment of prednisone for the pain. The relief was temporary. After finding your video suggesting 8 weeks of blackseed oil 2 G per day, the results have been amazing. The pain started to diminish right away and after 8 weeks the goiter was 2/3 the original size. Even after stopping the blackseed oil capsules, the goiter continued to shrink and at 10 weeks has almost completely disappeared! Thank you so much for your advice.
So awesome God is good what brand did you purchase? I want to try for lowering my antibodies thx
@Tangdaibing8355 did you take it after meal or in empty stomach?
@@Product_snob Fasting Helps soooo Much to lower antibodies. Getting down to your ideal body weight & eating Gluten Free.

It is an ongoing journey. 9 out of 10 women have Hashimotos. I am 57 years old & I found out I had Hypo Thyroid 15 years ago, now I am not Hypo & I am working towards getting my antibodies below 200
I started taking 5000 Vit D3 w K2 a few years ago. My antibodies went from 556 to 222.
That’s amazing! Happy for you. 5,000 daily? Was your thyroid level off? Any improvement with that, if so?

You also need to be aiming for about 2,000mg of DHA daily to lower inflammation
Did you mean 2000 mg of total Omega3 or specifically of DHA?
I take Vitamin D 2000IE/d since 5 years and I have reduced my carbohydrates < 100-80 g /day since 3 years (meaning also eliminating wheat, bread and pasta). But first after I reduced dairy products in my nutrition and added Omega 3 fishoil in my diet my Antybodies are now normalized and my Cholesterol levels are very better.

THANK YOU! You're AMAZING! In 35 yrs hypothyroid, I've never had a doctor who actually UNDERSTOOD thyroid (or the human body!) I'm not Hashimotos- but I want to chip in 2 personal observations that everyone I share with has also benefited from- switching from Levothyroxine to Armour was a LIFE changer for me... and eating 4 BRAZIL NUTS/day - after 3 months, my 20 year dose of armour dropped from 90mcg to 65mcg. Coincidence?? You decide.
I took selenium 200mcg and 400 mcg rotating) along with IP6 Inositol and my antibodies went down from 500 to 60. I'm working on the next 60 with black seed oil which I just purchased. Thanks Doc. You know your stuff and are helping a lot of people.^ P.S. the thyroid needs zinc also but don't take it with the selenium.
why do you say to not take zinc with selenium? do you mean if you are taking zinc, don't take selenium? or you mean don't take them together, like taking one in the morning and the other one at night is ok?

Thanks so much for your info.
Wish I was ok with black seed oil, origano oil and berberine, onions/garlic…I get a weird feeling in my mouth/throat.
So a balance betwen selenium and iodine is needed. Lowering iodine effectly raises selenium ...in the same way that lowering magneisum effectively raises calcium. Or lowering omega 3 raises 6. But you can also lack iodine .and a lot of research gives iodine without selenium... as it does for many many supplements which need to be taken in tandem.
I am post thyroidectomy due to cancer (also had hashimotos) I still have antibodies. Hopeful some of this info can help :)

Get all gluten out of your diet. Go on a celiac sight to learn were they hide. All grains have there own version of gluten. My celiac friend has the most problems from rice gluten. The base of so called gluten free food.
Get seed oils out of your diets. If it needs heat and chemicals to make it is not food.
Limit vegetables like broccoli and cabbage. Mostly cooked.
During the 80s one of the big lies was you could eat cheap and healthy on a vegan diet. Big mistake. That is even my morning body temperature went from normal to 94. Massive other health problems, obesity and malnutrition are just a few of the side effects.
Then I switched to eating by the semi vegan food pyramid, a government pushed fad diet from that time. I spent decades starving myself fat and sick on 1200 low fat, high fibre calories a day. Had an active job. Went to the gym daily. Barely fit a size Canadian 18.
It was 19 years ago that I was finally diagnosed as gluten intolerant. Based on symptoms that went away like chronic constipation and arthritis in my knees, I have been gluten intolerant since age 5. Also the white pimples on my arms disappeared.
While going gluten free did not make me lose weight, it stopped me from gaining.
It was when my husband had 3 strokes about 15 years ago that I finally got on the right track. We found out he was diabetic. He weighed 180 pounds. I put him on the Adventist influence diet they gave me at the hospital. In other words food pyramid BS.
Every 3 weeks he had bloodwork. Always worse, as was he. This went on for 8 months. By then he was 210 pounds.
I read Good Calories, Bad Calories. Watched The Oiling of America. Changed both of our diets to the old 1950s British diet in the prologue of Good Calories.
My husband's next bloodwork improved and kept getting better. Several months later a stranger understood him. His weight returned to 180.
I dropped to a size 6/8. No starvation involved.
The degenerative bone disease in my right foot healed in months. My blood pressure went from 140 to 110. My triglycerides went from too high to surprisingly low for someone my age.
It took 10 years but my morning body temperature went from 94 to 98.6. My eyebrows grew back in and my hair started to thicken.
Been on a human based health diet for 14 years now. Would never return to low fat hell.
A bit of history. The nutritionalist who did the research for the food pyramid refused to have her name on it after the senator in charge let his Adventist cult food industry buddies change it to the monstrosity that came out. She warned them if they put it out and people followed it that there would be a massive increase in obesity, diabetics, heart attacks, strokes, depression, dementia, autoimmune disease, cancer, etc, She was right.
But instead of admitting their mistake they did the vegan gaslighting thing of blaming the victims of their bad advice and pointing out the few that could stay slim, if not healthy on their death diet.
Add Poly Ovarian Syndrom, PMS, autism, ADHD, low testosterone, messed up thyroid and likely much more to the list of damages caused by the recommended diet.
Eighty percent of obese and fat people have metabolic syndrome. Not a big surprise. Sixty percent of normal and thin people also have metabolic syndrome. That is a big red flag.
Try carnivore diet. The black seed oil may be stopping you lose weight
This sounds great! What is that 1950s British diet?
I may have Grave's disease unfortunately and it's really important to stop it since my eye also started bulging out. I'm taking selenium already but I don't know what to take exactly in fear to do some mistakes, and this video is helpfull.
That happened to me 20 yrs ago and now I've gone the opposite way with Hashimoto's. When I had Graves I got given Carbimazole, one a day, and I had to see an eye specialist. I hope you have found some help by now, I see it's 3 months back.

I can't thank you enough. Many times I find content in my language that I don't find in English on UA-cam, surprisingly. This time it's the other way round. TPO, Hashimoto thyroiditis are unheard of in Brazil and I've only heard one integrative medicine professional mention those in her videos and what not to take or eat when you have Hashimoto and the levels. She also did mention iodine causing it. Mine is at 28, nearing the borderline.
My antibodies are up up up and my T3 is a big fat stable zero. I am only offered radioactive iodine and hormones for life. I am searching high and low before I take that treatment. Thanks for contribution to my exploration.
Don't do the radioactive iodine unless is your final option. I did that 28 years ago because I didn't know anything about my condition and I was scared and desperate for relieve of my symptoms. Besides that, I trusted my doctor with the solution. If I knew what were to be the outcome I would have never done it. Keep looking for a better treatment.
Do you have myxedema; the dreadful doughy fluidity thick rubbery skin? My levels are low , but no where near “critical”, yet I have this awful myxedema in my legs and it won’t go away! So discouraged! I feel like it’s rarely discussed in videos, articles, etc. and what’s worse, I went to another Endocrinologist in the city hoping for better treatment, and this doctor said, “what’s wrong with your legs, they look fine to me”. Finding decent competent help is appearing very hard to come by! Pray you’re in better shape than me! Best wishes!
Thank you Dr. Childs for sharing your knowledge! My blood test shows my Vitamin D level is 100%. I haven't catch not even a simple cold in the last five years, so I believe that taking Vit.D3 with K2 has made my immune system stronger. Before being tested for Covid 19, my four year old grandson coughed right on my face. Even though my grandson tested positive, and I didn't get the jab, I never caught the virus 😉.
Vitamin D is incredible. I’ve been taking D3 well over six years and it just works!!!
I’ve been taking vit D and K2 since the start of covid and I haven’t caught covid yet
How many IU’s do you take?
@@danielagentile8049 I take 50mg Vit D . (I think that’s 2000 IU) and 180mg vit K2 daily

Hi Doctor Childs, I have been enjoying your content and would be interested in your opinion on Astaxanthin an Taurine , many thanks .
I have been taking a low dose calcium, D3, K2, Mg supplement due to my lactose intolerance

Do you have a video specifically for hyperthyroidism and graves disease? Talking about supplements and iodine, motherwort and Bugleweed? Also, I heard that you're not supposed to take Ashwaghanda if you have hyperthyroid.
Is cod liver oil a good replacement for fish oil or is it the same?
It’s a great one and pretty equivalent, if not better than normal fish oil. 👍🏼
the two are different. cod liver is for vitD and A generally.., fish oil is for omega3
Could low dose Naltrexone help as well? Would be great to see you so a video on this.
That’s what a functional doctor recommended for me. Antibodies over 2000!
I heard it does.
Leaky gut is the primary root cause of excessive thyroid antibodies
Any studies on this?
I never had any issues with Thyroid until I got SIBO/IMO gastritis Pylori and ulcers. Then leaky gut. Then sensitivity to chemicals, foods, sounds, you name it. Went to endo....sky-high TPO and TG.
Yep agree
The gut/stomach and liver need to be functioning well as they work together with the thyroid and keep the thyroid at its optimum. That's why our diet and supplements are so important especially for woman. Gluten/grains sugar and high carbs are anti gut/stomach, liver and thyroid.
@amodb5. Dr. Childs has a video on the eight causes of Autoimmune Thyroiditis. The gut was just one.
How many teaspoons of black seed oil
He mentioned 2g daily for 8 weeks.
Great info Dr C ;
I have heart thumping and frequent palpitations symptoms. Diagnosed as graves disease Is it safe to consume black seed oil?
I had thyroid cancer and it was removed over 20 years. Now, I have a very elevated thyroglobulin antibody and the doctor doesn’t know what is causing it to be high. I have severe fatigue and can’t do simple activities without having to sit and rest after 3-5 mins. I wish I knew what test could be done to figure out what is wrong because i know something is wrong, despite what the doctor says.
Take multivitamins.. selenium 2-3 Brazil nuts a day.. make sure to take vitd3 and K2 and lastly magnesium! This will change ur life forever..
I have heard thyroglobulin increase over time is just our body is usually vit deficiency.. it could be vitd get ur vitd checked out
Hi Dr Child’s
I have Hashimoto’s, k have been taking Chlorella for a fair few months now and spirulina . They were helping me with weight and my nails but I’m finding them no longer working . I have a split down one of my nails permanently, and I’m getting a pot belly ! I’m 54 I stopped taking berberine back in December. Thank you
You may want to consider intermittent fasting so that your body can go into housekeeping mode when you’re not eating. Are usually stop eating at 4 o’clock or later and do not eat until the following morning, so it ends up to be about 12 hours. The belly fat will dissipate very quickly And all the symptoms you should disappear. It worked like that for me anyway. My thyroid didn’t work well at birth, and I suffered as a child into adulthood. So I could tell the immediate difference with intermittent fasting.
Hello Dr. Childs & Team,
I am 60 years old, and have been taking LevoThyroxine for about 20 years now, for hypothyroidism. I believe my thyroid gland is no longer active due to Hashimoto’s. I would like to do more for myself, because the UK NHS focuses exclusively on T4 and TSH, and I do not believe this is sufficient. I have some questions for you.
I would like to try T2, but your offering is 100 mcg, and I believe this is much more than produced by the human thyroid gland on a daily basis. I couldn’t cut a capsule in half, but I could take a capsule every second day, if the half-life of T2 was longer than a day. What is the half-life of T2, and could you say anything else here ?
I understand the Thyroid Gland also produces T1 hormone and Calcitonin. Is there any way I can replicate the T1 and Calcitonin produced by a healthy Thyroid Gland ? Could you please advise me on these too ?
Thank you very much,
Gerard.
My tpo antibodies reaches 5,000. TSH is at normal level.
Have Hashimoto’s symptoms. Feel lethargic all the time.
Could it be another autoimmune condition besides Hashimoto’s?
What does your doctor consider normal TSH?
One thing that helped cut mine about in half was not eating gluten.
I've been taking Inositol powder for years for my Hemochromatosis and liver.
Inositol lowers iron?
Thanks!
Good morning Dr. Childs. wanna let you know that your advice helps me. On the 9th of July we did my blood work to finally after 7 years to get the verdict gaves or Hashimoto's.

Dr. Childs I have a challenge for you. My endocrinologist has given up trying to figure out my labs. I allegedly have Graves Disease. My TSH was 0.000 with it getting up to 0.001 on 3 months of Neomercazole recently. In May of last year everything was within range. So how does this happen so suddenly. Also I showed very minor symptoms of being that hyper. And I have GAINED weight during the time before I was tested which would have been when my thyroid was storming. I should have been not sleeping. Anxious. Shaky and dropping weight....my T4 was normal as well. After being tested 3 times for TRABS they could fine none present. My reuptake scan confirmed a very overactive thyroid. So I have the diagnosis of TRAB negative Graves.......is this not actually bullshit.
I would really appreciate it if you could cover the plausibility of TRAB negative Graves and how a person could gain weight pre treatment during a storming thyroid.

Thank you for this informative video, Dr. Childs. I posted this same comment on one of Dr. Christianson's video and thought it would be useful to post here too.
Thyroid dysregulation is such a complex disease and the traditional approach to treatment does not always yield the best results, so I appreciate the lifestyle/nutraceutical suggestions.
However, I do wish more doctors would research and address thyrotropin receptor antibodies (TRab), which are most closely associated with disease progression in Graves Disease. This antibody has three subtypes: TSab (stimulating/HyPER) TBab (blocking/HyPO) and TRab (neutral). So, it is actually possible to have Graves disease and present with HyPOthyroid symptoms that are often attributed to the presence of TPO antibodies or having both Hashimoto’s and Graves. Hashimoto’s is NOT always the culprit for for HyPOthyroid symptoms according to an artical in The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism, Volume 92, Issue 3, 1 March 2007, Pages 1058-1065:
“TSH RECEPTOR (TSH-R) autoantibodies (TRAbs) in patients with Graves’ disease (GD) are functionally heterogeneous; they include mainly thyroid-stimulating antibodies (TSAbs) and occasionally also thyroid-blocking antibodies (TBAbs). TSAbs activate the receptor and cause hyperthyroidism, whereas receptor occupancy by nonstimulatory TBAbs inhibits TSH action and may cause hypothyroidism. Together TSAbs and TBAbs comprise the TSH binding inhibition (TBII) activity detected by TRAb assays.”
Before I was diagnosed with Graves, I had a long history of random symptoms that my doctor couldn't find a cause for. Mind you, this was following an exposure to black mold for a number of years, which I believe was the initial trigger.
It wasn't until my TSH completely tanked four years ago after I had covid and I was presenting with HyPER symptoms that my doctor tested me for TSI, TGab and TPO antibodies, which all came back positive. Oddly enough, she didn't test for TRab and I didn't know to request it because the docs are the experts, right?!
Upon being diagnosed with Graves, my integrative doc and I decided to take a lifestyle/supplementation approach which got my number back in range; however TSI & TPO were still present although lower. My TGab (Hashi) was tested on three separate occasions and was in range on the first two and undetectable on the third.
I also had a thyroid ultrasound that didn't show any enlargement or tissue damage, but there was increased vascularity--which is consistent with Graves. With Hashimoto's there is usually visible scarring due to tissue damage, which I don't have. But why was I now having HyPO symptoms instead of HyPER symptoms?? I have never been medicated, so this didn’t make any sense. I recently had an upper respiratory illness and stressful events that led me to get my numbers checked. In some rare cases such as mine, symptoms can switch back and forth from HyPER to HyPO and vice versa. According to my endo, this can be due to the presence of TPOab if they are higher than TSIab. But now I know that TRab can also block thryrotropin receptors, and symptoms can present as HyPER or HyPO depending on whether TSab (stimulating) is in the driver's seat or TBab (blocking) is at the wheel.
My most recent T4/T3 were back in range and my TSH was slowly ticking up toward normal range. My TPO and TSI were also decreasing. My endo agreed with my PCP on continuing the natural approach and did not prescribe any meds. The problem is I still feel like crap!
Most docs don't test for TRab because the “Gold Standard” is TSI as a definitive diagnostic due to the assumption that Graves disease can only present as HyPERthyroid. I finally got an endo to test for TRab after switching to HyPO last summer.
I would be very interested to find out if there are any lifestyle strategies and nutraceutical support that can help lower TRabs.
The fractured flicker video style is very annoying.

Can Hashimoto and Hypothyroidism cause cirrhosis of the liver?
Sugar is the main cause. All sugar included fruit sugar. They use to tell people to limit fruit to 2 servings a day. So if you have problems get rid of fruit, all sugar, grains that turn to sugar in you mouth. And of course alcohol.
There are things you can buy that help the liver.
Alcohol
Fructose

All my numbers are within normal limits but I feel terrible and I have nodules. Two biopsies and follicular neoplasm.. they want to remove my thyroid but won't give me anything before. I feel awful. I don't know what to do, what to take.
7:23 your situation is similar to mine, all my numbers are within normal range I feel awful and I also have nodules. I recently started taking black seed oil, lemon juice and half a teaspoon of cayenne pepper two times a day and the headaches and fatigue has gone down to almost nothing. I also changed my diet by eliminating gluten and dairy. How is your situation now? I’m trying to look for options other than surgery.
I'm gonna try this too...
May Allah(God) support us..
