5 or 6 years ago, I met JCVD in a Bangkok nightclub. I live here so I convinced him to go on a nightlife tour. He had a minibus and a small entourage... During a bus ride, I told him my favourite movie villain was Tong Po... He reached over the back seat, woke up some guy who was sleeping out of sight. "Hey! Michel... This guy loves Tong Po." And that's how I also met Michel Qissi, the Moroccan actor who played Tong Po.

yeah he is by far the best villan in any van damme movie , only dolph lundgren comes somewhat close but not really . also cyborg is not a bad movie at all ... yes it is a B movie but it´s great at its job - sets the great postapocalyptic atmosphere .
I've always thought that the villain from Universal Soldier, Michael Jai White, was the most terrifying of them all. He legit scared me when I was a kid. He looked invincible.
For 20 years I have sometimes thought about a movie I seen once as a kid, and couldn't remember anything about it except a fight scene with 2 people in a kitchen in some sports stadium. The dancing with the dramatic music always gets me. I think the music is under appreciated but as he dances to this super thrilling epic music.... It's just way more funny
What's interesting about the movie Cyborg is the monologue at the beginning when fender is speaking because it does relate to where this world is heading right now. I wouldn't go as far as to say the movie was crappy but not many people liked the subject matter at the time because it dealt with the end of the world also meaning apocalypse. I've seen better and worse so it's not the worse of the worse.
I had also just watched that the company (cannon) that had jcvd contract was actually going to do Spider-Man and he-man pt.2 but both fell through but they already put 2 mil. in the sets and equipment. and they already told Van Damme that he could get lead in his next role. They wanted Chuck Norris but jcvd wanted it so they gave it to him and here we are. Pretty interesting story about that movie all around. Just look up "wtf happened jcvd" on UA-cam. Pretty interesting stuff.
@@dickchainy1420 That is interesting and it also had a completely different soundtrack before Kevin Bassinson but I think Kevin's version was better for the movie because it gave it more of that apocalyptic feeling.

I'm more than a little disappointed that Cynthia didn't make this list. She's the true Villain of Lionheart, but seeing as how she didn't fight JCVD, like McComb didn't, I understand why she didn't make it.

No Retreat No Surrender was the first movie with JCVD that I saw. He was scary! We just like him better in his other characters, but it shows that he is as great actor as he is at spin kicks.
Kickboxer had the best training scene on a van damne movie. You can see how his character worked really hard to reach Tong po's level. So I was disappointed that the only reason JCVD struggled was his brother being held hostage.
