If you have the DVD there's behind-the-scenes footage of the amazing miniature sets they created for some scenes (such as the subway explosion and the destruction of the church) and I shot a lot of the video used in that BTS section, and it was so much fun watching them shoot all the miniature sequences. Yeah, not Arnold's best film by a long shot, but definitely entertaining in its own way.

Same here, it seems world truly peaked around 1988-1998, so much good stuff in music, movies, cars, sports, good money still to be made by just working a regular job, and no damn smartphones.
4:55 This is how you know the movie is a work of fiction. Not the explosions or shattering faces or whatever - just the fact that people on the New York Subway paid attention to a weirdo for more than a couple of seconds.
I just watched End of Days for my first time and I really enjoyed it. My only complaint was the frantic editing in the fight scenes. This movie proves that even the cheesy popcorn movies of the 90's just hit on a different level than today's movies do. It's cinematography was also god-tier. I think the 90's was the single best era for movies ever.
Fun fact. Udo Kiersp is in every single movie ever made. He is sometimes in the background in a hoodie, but he is there. Some say that he made a deal with the devil to be the most prolific actor, but the devil tricked him with word play and instead of becoming leading man famous, the word prolific was taken as in the amount of work he puts out and for that he is damned to appear in every movie ever made. When he dies his personal hell will be to go back to the beginning of film and appear in all the movies prior to his birth. I am saddened by his plight but at the same time joyous as I get to see one of our greatest over actors after The Nic in all my favourite movies. I bet the Germans have a word for that.
I literally used to love this movie. For me, it was like Se7en on steroids. It was dark and grim, and Arnold was a vulnerable human rather than a badass action hero.
Saw this in theaters at 12 thinking it was crazy that there was a joke about Y2K because the prospect really freaked me out. Last good Arnie movie. Last 20 minutes are legit intense.
One thing I remember most about this movie was the soundtrack which I picked up when i was like 16. The tracks were pretty mediocre overall, but was pretty cool at the time some of the musicians put out exclusive songs (likely just their scrapped ones that never made it to albums), think there was also a few exclusive remixes and covers as well. One that I remember that I'm positive was never released outside the EoD Soundtrack was "Bad Influence" from Eminem which was okay at the time, likely something that didn't make the cut to the Marshall Mathers LP. But this movie and soundtrack kinda signaled beginning of the end for exclusive tracks for movies, imo.
I remember watching this when I was in my teens in theaters. Time to watch it again thanks for the reminder. I remember meeting Garbriel Byrnes a few years ago. I mentioned this movie to him, haha.
@chloeirnes he just kind of laughed and smiled. He said he had great time filming it. It was a short conversation. It took a few minutes for me to figure out who he was. It was a cool encounter.
The only person who could beat down the devil is the one man who single handedly killed a predator, become a Terminator, solve the riddle of steel, survive the Running Man, become a secret agent, a commando and have a twin as ugly as Danny Devito!
But it was James Earl Jones that solved the riddle of steel. "That is strength, boy! That is power! What is steel compared to the hand that wields it? Look at the strength in your body, the desire in your heart, I gave you this! Such a waste. Contemplate this on the tree of woe. Crucify him!" But that still works... only fitting that guy who survived being crucified could beat the devil.

@@cmiller0987 I can't remember where I was , but I was pretty young and I remember it was crowded place ... This theme song happened to come on through my earphones ... and at one point I got so scared , I almost threw them across the place :)
90s did have some great depictions of Satan. Al Pacino in 'The Devil's Advocate' is another one I would count up there.
@@quasarleon4645 I heard that choir of voices in an ep of South Park of all places and, go listen to a song from the Xenosaga ost called "Song of the Nephilim" Its pretty easy to see where they got the melody from
80 and 90s action movies were the best. Arnie, Sly, JCVD, Dolph, Willis, Nic Cage. You can just put their combined catalogue of films on repeat and not get bored.
"Ungrateful bitch tax" ~ I'm saving that one for later
12:46 "and she gets a happy ending, where both her parents are dead; both her stepparents are dead; he's dead; literally everyone's fucking dead...go fuck yourself"
i almost pissed myself xD
Who said Arnold doesn't have range ?
Look at him playing a Badass Action Hero Haunted by Demons of the Past (TM).
Not to mention, a literal demon!
Arnold's most underrated movie. A 90s Action Horror Classic. 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
9:31 that spice girls reference was hilarious. 😂👍
How does this man only have 217k subs? This channel is the funniest shit on youtube.
Bro I think your videos are the funniest thing youtube has to offer right now.
"If Pope Hector (Salamanca) has to tell you to chill out with the violence, maybe you shouldn't be a priest anymore." LOOOOOOOOL
This movie is worth watching for Gabriel Byrne alone, absolute badass as the Devil.
Gabriel Byrne got stabbed by a knife in a bar fight, while in the Navy. Must've been quite a party.
I wonder why Hollywood always portray The Devil as charming cool Mofo.
meh
I like the girl too
The guy killed the girls' doctor ,proceeded to do a 3some with the doctor's wife and her daughter 😭😭 violation at it's best ..
Your work is very appreciated, Mr. Space Ice. Laughter is the best medicine. Thanks!
PS Udo Kier is the ultimate bad guy!
So, Gabriel Byrne in this movie is as cool as how Seagal pictures himself in his head. xD
That "happy ending" bit cracked me up.
"Carve in an entire book". 🤣🤣🤣 Comedic gold! 😆😆😆
love this movie every second of it! the way Gabriel Byrne plays the devil to the main theme of the movie its just awesome!!!

That Glock joke was so perfect! Well played sir
I saw this at the theatre. My friends running joke was perhaps this actually signalled the 'end of days'. Sometimes I wish it had, things were so much better back in those days.
Same here, it seems world truly peaked around 1988-1998, so much good stuff in music, movies, cars, sports, good money still to be made by just working a regular job, and no damn smartphones.
@@aigoru8718 Goddamn right.
Looks like it was the end of days!
Never stop. Your work is a blessing upon us all.
Thx for another Dopetastic review can’t wait for the next one🔥🔥🔥🔥
“He is nuttier than squirrel sh€#%t “
Thank you and has been added automatically to my everyday phrases. 😂
That one caught me off guard. 😂

This is how you know the movie is a work of fiction. Not the explosions or shattering faces or whatever - just the fact that people on the New York Subway paid attention to a weirdo for more than a couple of seconds.
New York City is F@#KING Awesome🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You even included the cameo appearance of the great Ari Ola in there too!!! Well played.
1990s were the peak of movies.
EoD is soooo underrated.
Loved this movie. Even bought the soundtrack CD.
Absolutely hilarious video. These are highlights for me every week. Keep up the good work.
This is one of Arnold’s greatest roles hands down 💯
Damn you are the best..Never change man, never change you are a gold.
This film is my guilty pleasure tbh. As a kid, I used to watch it a lot on TV
Love the nihilistic 90s feel to it
Arnold called the devil a choir boy compared to him...27/10
"They need to get the f*ck out of there before that pissed off cat comes back" 🤣🤣
"you're a fuckin choir boy compared to me!" Anything Arnold touches, turns to gold.
I literally used to love this movie. For me, it was like Se7en on steroids. It was dark and grim, and Arnold was a vulnerable human rather than a badass action hero.
Bout time someone realized how great this movie is!
It really fuckin is.
"Ungrateful bitch tax" Might be my new favorite line
Saw this in theaters at 12 thinking it was crazy that there was a joke about Y2K because the prospect really freaked me out. Last good Arnie movie. Last 20 minutes are legit intense.
Hey I forgot about this movie! Watching it now!
I love these so much. Arnold is a living legend.
Yeah it's just like watching the movie 💯👍👍
7:05 "Got'em!" Fuck yeah 🤣👍
Finest writing to date, and I’ve watched dozens of your excellent video essays. Greetings from an Austrian
This guy reviews are legendary
Space Ice is an incredibly underrated youtube genius 🤣😂
Every video is just perfect
I work private security. I can assure you this is 100% accurate
I used to listen to this soundtrack while playing diablo
A man of refined taste.
Eminem-Bad Influence
Finally, somebody who had the soundtrack. Korn, Limp Bizkit, Powerman 5000, Rob Zombie, Eminem, and Creed. Don't judge me, I like talent
Edit: Add On
Ok i like your "Pepe Silvia" analogy ...haha that was good! My fellow Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia enjoyer 😁
Oh man, I've been following your videos for the past year or so... you just keep getting better every time. ❤🍻
Even The Devil got Terminated 💪
I always remember this as the movie where Arnie blends a pizza and drinks it for breakfast 🥞
Thank you the quality content yet again
I remember watching this when I was in my teens in theaters. Time to watch it again thanks for the reminder. I remember meeting Garbriel Byrnes a few years ago. I mentioned this movie to him, haha.
What did he say?
@chloeirnes he just kind of laughed and smiled. He said he had great time filming it. It was a short conversation. It took a few minutes for me to figure out who he was. It was a cool encounter.
@@HPeezy1 Thanks for replying! I'm glad he was cool!
Just found this channel and this entire video had me laughing all the way through. Subscribed
90s Arnold was in his own universe
Best movie reaction video ever!!
Crucify him!"
But that still works... only fitting that guy who survived being crucified could beat the devil.
One of the best channels on youtube.
Oh my god the cut of the face he makes after saying hey kid and being hit by a bus literally has my stomach hurting from laughing so hard
man i love your content thanks for doing another arnold movie
Show Arnold the same love you show JCVD, they're both awesome.
Can Arnold do the Splits Dance in Thailand ?
Didn't think so.
@@sars910 damn, great point. 😔
no but he can split somebody from Thailand in half with his bare hands while he is dancing
@@Frankenspank67 that's a valid point
Arnold's worst movie is better than Van Damme's best.
