We moved from Orange County CA in 1992 to Eugene, Or. I can tell you that everything across the board went down for us. Rent, utilities, car registration, insurance, groceries. We moved hoping one day to buy a home. We were able to actually buy that first home within 6 months. Yes, property taxes are higher, but there is no sales tax, and just owning our first home at that time seemed like a luxury coming from a high cost real estate market like So. Calif. Sure there are trade offs, you just have to decide where you are at in life, and lifestyle. If Oregon works for you, financially you will be way ahead.

Great video! I live in the Bay Area in Ca so I’ve been seriously looking to move.
If you’re considering the Oregon Coast get in touch! We’d love to help.
@@LivingOnTheOregonCoast thank you! I won’t be in the market to buy for awhile. I’ll just be renting in the meantime.
