Removing a Pitman Arm
• Use a puller, not a hammer, to remove the pitman arm from the gear box
• If you use a hammer to remove the pitman arm, you will damage the bearing inside of the gear box
• Count how many blind splines vs. how many splines you have, to identify the proper pitman arm
• Use the factory specifications when torquing the pitman arm
