This is my favourite content. Not gonna lie I dont find top level competitive games in BFME1 very interesting because of how campy the game is with limited strategies, but AI challenges look like a lot of fun

I did every faction on this, except Mordor. I just never got through the early game, now I wanna go and try Mordor again. Great content you're putting out for the some-what slim community there is, I think I speak for all that it's greatly appreciated that you keep this game still alive eventhough it's been over 16 years! By the way, you ever played Rome: Total War?
When I use ot play bfme years ago when it came out. Everyone played Rohan because it was easy. I play isenguard and use did really well. I had a set plan on what to build first. Lumber yards for cheaper buildings then iron works for cheaper upgrades. I'd have an upgrade army pretty much straight away and would beat down opponents larger armies with an upgrade smaller force
To be honest thus is quite a big skill to not have panic attacks by such pressure- hats down

Damn, some of these abilities like Bloodthirst for Urukhai that are useless in bfme2 are very useful here. Same with levels for units and heros themselves which are way more important here than they were in bfme2. It's so awesome to see what is useless in bfme2 be key to get yourself in a better position over your enemies.
Indeed, in BfME-II I don't care about losing units in the campaingn, but in BfME-I unit experience carries over, so losing a unit is a big deal.
@BeyondStandards First off, great game and amazing microing. Just one advice with the Balrog control: after you fly in the base for the first time, don't use ignite straight away. The 1st thing should be the breath so it can start recharging. This way you can use it 3 times and destroy the whole base just by using breath without having to do anything else before you run out of time (if you don't miss of course) :)

Your wall as Isengard is having the strongest infantry in the game. Though I guess late game Gondor with all upgrades and the triple leadership from the Captain Bros and Gandalf might be even stronger?
Also, I learned just recently from a game I played that if you attack an Ent Moot while it's being built, it finishes instantly.
It's only fiitting that you had to destroy an army of the ents.
Im a total scrub at this game, so this was epic. Like damn. I can hardly handle 1 hard bot lmao.
I know this video is old, but I think I used to use the balrog's flame breath where the tower is in a Rohan base and you can wipe out 5 buildings at once. Really made taking out Rohan easy.

I find it easier to not kill the entmoots unless you can hold the building spot successfully because it guaranteed summons 4 every time he rebuilds it. and I definitely never kill farms because that means no ents lol. Either way you got it done
I think if you attack the entmoot first (before shooting the actual ents), while it is still under construction, the first 4 ents will not spawn and die instantly if you destroy the entmoot before it finishes. At least it was like this when I was playing, which was on patch 1.00 most likely xD
Yeah, but it's REALLY hard to destroy it in time - especially if you reach it when it's already 50% done...
If you can't prevent it from finishing, it's better to already start on the Ents.
Although they spawn so quickly that you're probably fucked 😆
Never played this, but something tells me 3rd Age total war mod (including Divide & Conquer) took a lot of inspiration from this game.
I vaguely remember how it was for me at the very beginning with this game. I'd say it's something very close to this over here. But then again, I still took a beating from the Balrog many, many times... Further, I do seem to remember having a steady balance going on between winning and loosing.. Oh well, good times!

Ents move fast if they are in the vicinity of:
1. Fire (including fire arrows)
2. Woodchopping (sawmill or workers)

I wonder if it's because you're using the 1.06 patch, but whenever I play, there's siege weapons and maxed oit armies at my doorstep by the 2-3 minute mark. ;-;

Your great progammers you put so much effort into this it is really nice to look at the stuff your doing an excellent job. if i had the time i would sit here day and night just watch your content because i love to live in the same dreamworld you live in:) Theres one thing you should consiger though in your now release:) what about the great eye casting its shadow over mordor? what about going out and hunting some real ork and what about actuality making your dream reality huh ? wouldnt that be more fullfilling than just sitting around and programming these fantasy beasts ?:) what is this actually worth if your not realizing it and coding it properly huh? where are the armies of the elves and dworfes RIGHT NOW are they just laying around in lockdown suffering and pissing coding and eating their neighbours while living in a world made of fantasy or are they gathering great armys. BLOWING THE HORN OF GONDOR and 💘FIGHTING THE FINAL BATTLE FOR THEIR HOME MIDDLEEARTH. are the elves actually good for middleearth or are they just taking everything they need burn every last Ent and are about send out their armies that cast infinite shadow over all of Mordor.

Is this doable against Gondor and Mordor or do the catapults destroy you in 1vs7?
Ents are probably worse, since they can spawn from loose farm locations, and walk over your units.
Fire arrows should be nearly as effective against trebuchets and catapults.
Can you please do one with the modded thing? I think it was edain mod or something that really increases the powers you can deploy, new units and what not.

whenever I play it, I feel that all enemies attack me all together haha. Why other enemies are not attacking you while you go for the rohan in the beginning. I really don't understand:D

I remember that in the game when i played it 10 years ago was 400 command points ... why so low command points for Isengard?
The command points are depending on the players. In a 1v1 Isengard has 300 command points but the more players, the less command points

It could be but early game might be tricky without strong early heroes or upgrades. But then again free orcs are really strong too
