Hey Fernando. Line training is nothing really special, is normal flight with passengers, you will have some training during flight, procedures, handling plane, maps, airspaces, routes, etc., but nothing to worry about. Good luck with your training and release to fully certified FO!
This was a base training. Here the aim is to do as much landing in the shortest time as possible. Anyways, VMC criteria, 500 feet stabilized. So this WAS a stabilized approach.
Hello, im from Czech Republic and i love SmartWings. My dream is to become a pilot and i fly on VATSIM in a simulator, im trying to get as close to real procedures as possible. Could you provide me with the procedure of flying a visual pattern like this one? It would mean a lot to me. Thank you :-). I know you have a lot of work and i really dont want to waste your time.
Stay within 2nm , at 800ft , 80% N1 - 8 degrees pitch , downwind 55-60% N1 - 2 degrees , altitude 1500AGL , Gear down flaps 15 abeam the threshold , turning base landing flaps , final 55-60% N1 - 1-2 degrees , after touchdown retract flaps to 15 advance the thrust to 60% N1 then TOGA and apply GA power and rotate at the white bug , dont ARM the Speedbrake and enjoy hard landings XD
@@Mrcl5902 Yeah technically i guess, i just didn't think there were runways long enough to do a full landing, reconfig the plane and take back off. Thats got to be something cool to see
@@chrisr4804 You just need to reset the flaps to a suitable takeoff setting and bump the trim back into the green. You're already hauling ass since you don't select auto brakes or use reverse thrust on the landing. 5-10 seconds to do the above, shove in the power and you lift off. It's not the best training to be sure because stuff happens FAST but it satisfies the FAA's 3 take-off and landing requirements. Most "real" airlines don't do them, but occasionally you will at a lower-tier airline. I did them in a 757 in Flint Michigan in 2003.
Our instructor insisted to do the circles fully manual. And honestly, it is much better to fly the plane on the patterns like a "Cessna", as A/T and AP would destruct you too much and there's not much time you have for 1 circle.
@@kornelvarhelyi Absolutely correct. Your instructor was dead nuts on. In a busy environment, hand flying with the FD adds a ton of work to the cockpit. Turn that crap off and aviate, just like we did 40 years ago in 727s, DC8's, 9's and 10's.

stupid question I'm sure...but what's the thing between the copilot and the thrust controls that keeps making noise and spinning? Just to the right of the copilots right knee
I suppose it's because too much power is applied for 30degrees flaps landing position. Alarm goes off after 15 degrees flaps is selected. Power was applied for new immediate.takeoff. Nothing wrong done.
If you're referring to the beeping noise after landing, that was the takeoff configuration warning. It likely went off because takeoff thrust was applied while the flaps were retracting to a normal takeoff position. As for the master caution that illuminated after takeoff, I'm not certain, but it seems as if the "Air Cond" warning is lighting up indicating a discrepancy with the air conditioning panel. If you look at that panel, you can see that the illuminated light is, I believe, the "Off Sched Descent" light meaning that the aircraft has performed an unscheduled descent. This may be because the FMC was not programmed prior to the landing, but then again I am not completely certain.
@@chris22capt My bad, you're right. I was used to seeing white displays, so the orange threw me off. Thanks for correcting me. Edit: While during the rest of the video it is in fact the pressurization altitude window I see, at 3:18 I can definitely see a light illuminated on the air conditioning panel. It is in the same position as the "Off Sched Descent" light. I may be wrong, but that is definitely above the altitude window and also only illuminated when the master caution went off.
