I got one of the bad models A1661, when it came out it worked fine. Funny, right after the warranty ran out the MoBo goes out. Ive had it ever since as a iPod basically. This video game me hope that in this town there might be someone who can fix it.

I just installed my new motherboard and now it does not turn on. I plugged in the ribbons after motherboard install but plugged in the battery ribbon too!! I continued to tighten screws whilst battery was plugged in to motherboard but only realised afterwards that this was a mistake.
HAVE I BLOWN MY MOTHERBOARD AGAIN I HAD BATTERY PLUGGED IN WHILST STILL WORKING ON IT? IF SO IS THERE A FIX? :(((

The wifi antenna. I bought a phone with a dead motherboard and I opened it and it doesnt have that? Does that mean wifi wont connect at all? Its just the bracket on the surface that is missing. Not the part beneath that.

Look up Gevey chips by liquidnas. It's just like an adapter for your sim card. It's super easy, cheap, and I've had 100% success rate with unlocking sprint phones for any carrier even international sims
If I do this will I cloud lock be unlocked

yes it will be unlocked but make sure you to check if that mobo is unlocked

I was scammed with an iphone 7 plus with icloud lock. If I change the motherboard (just the motherboard. IT doesnt come with the home button) will the original home button not work at all? I mean I dont care if it doesnt work for touch ID, but I want it to work for everything else.
the old button will not work at all , or
an alternative is a universal button.
