Two things that seriously bug me about these video are 1. Never lay the screen flat when opening the phone up, you can damage the flex cables quite easily. And 2. FIRST UNPLUG THE BATTERY before anything else. Never leave the battery plugged in when removing components, as this can cause shorting out and damage components. Especially when taking the screen out (reference the other video).
When they call me I can talk with out my AirPods other wise people can’t hear me . Would replacing my speaker solve the problem.? I don’t want to get a new phone I like this one..
My voice recorder, earpiece is not working and cant hear the other person on the other line and lightning earphones is not working,Is it advisable to replace the loudspeaker itself? I will wait for your reply. Many thanks.
I do exactly the same thing and the phone is not turning on,it just turned on with black screen no apple logo and than it shuted down and its not opening..
Save Apple Dollars I have replaced my lightning port and now my loud speaker is not working. I’ve tried it on both plugs. I notice it has contacts I the bottom and they seem to touch the pad.
The speaker is connected by contact on those pads but the ribbon cable that those pads are on keeps going up and then plugs into the logicboard. You might have to reseat that connection. That's the only thing i can think of.
After you shut the screen again does the water proof adhesive still keep water from entering the phone or does it not work anymore after separating it?
When answering calls, people are having difficulty hearing me. It's even worse on speaker. Is the speaker that's being changed in the video the one that's causing me problems?????????
Same deal here. I tried two different speakers, different housing, still having little to no volume out of the loud speaker. I'm assuming its a logic board issue. Womp
Thank you such much
I have fixed my phone 7 Plus

Thanks for the help I just needed to know what order those connectors went back in
If I replace the speaker myself, would this affect the eligibility of trading my phone in at some point?
Ghostly Meadow There’s no way of them finding out
With Apple yes. They won’t accept it. But if you turn it in to you cellular carrier no

I licked the motherboard but unfortunately I didn’t post the video the risk of shorting things like this out is 0000000000.1 chance
Was there a reason you had to unscrew it and unplug the taptic engine
thanks, I followed this and it took me less than 30 minutes. Trickiest part is reconnecting the little antenna cables

You should’ve put new waterproof seal?
Will the phone be still water resistant after this?
sadly no, you'll need to buy a new waterproof seal
I do exactly the same thing and the phone is not turning on,it just turned on with black screen no apple logo and than it shuted down and its not opening..
does it matter which antenna goes to which plug?
Yes, every connection is specific and has a specific length.
Save Apple Dollars I have replaced my lightning port and now my loud speaker is not working. I’ve tried it on both plugs. I notice it has contacts I the bottom and they seem to touch the pad.
Save Apple Dollars do you know if the speaker goes to the higher up plug or the lower one? Thanks

Open it and check the home button connection and alignment, remember it's very sensitive, might just need to be checked and reconnected.
Save Apple Dollars thanks ,I’ll do it.☺️
@@JeremY-yt8ol Did you solved it?
No ,but thanks to apple new haptic touch, the haptic touch feature is a replacement for the 3d touch

Technically it no longer works but it should provide some protection.
The waterproof wouldn't work as good as before but Apple will also void your warranty if you open the phone or any other Apple product
why don't you change lcd glue adhesive that keep phone water resistant
Awww 😭 for me am not having money now for me to change my iPhone 7plus speaker 🔈
Type of the screwdriver?

Conrad Green I think is the sound chip I have tha problem
my phones screen have touch issue after replace the speaker, cannot touch at all hmmm
Nice! 🙏🏻
I follow these steps, now the speaker it’s ok but no more Touch ID.. why? The home button works but no Touch ID 😭😭
Perhaps something is not connected properly. If you take it apart again and reinstall carefully it could fix the issue.
Who watch this video on iPhone 7 Plus ???
