While some call me "brash, egotistical, arrogant and a worrywart" at times, my heart is pure. I'm really generally kind, friendly and a good person, and very easygoing which led me into starting a family of his own. I haven't backed down one fight no matter how difficult it looks. Like Ryu, I believes in honor, hard work, endurance, and discipline. I always gives worthy opponents the utmost respect, whether it is my master Gouken, or mt best friend Ryu, or even Terry Bogard.

Ken gets better character traits being a brat turned into a good willed adult (Ryu is just a somewhat bland and generic stoic hero) Ken gets the girl, a baby, a student, in some versions even a school. Ryu gets . . . nothing, both literally and figuratively odd enough.
He was actually able to develop that move in Street Fighter Alpha but in Street Fighter 1 they only had the Hadouken and regular Shoryuken and Tasumaki Senpykyaku
