Guy is actually one of the strongest street fighter characters, I'd even say he could defeat Ryu.

He was made to be the main character for Street Fighter but later replaced by Ryu

If they bring him back they need to make him a little stronger.
Guy -- or should it really be "Gai" (Japanese for 'victory') -- is a hero sort of in the same mold as Ryu and Ken. But Guy's backstory is (to me) a lot more interesting than Ryu and Ken's, and Guy's friendship with Cody, while similar in some ways to the one between Ryu and Ken, is a lot more interesting, too.
Anybody notice that Guy wears Nike shoes
Zack Haji , ya the were once drawn as Nike Dunks but they changed the style to make sure Nike didn't sue. Lol. Now they have a similar style to Pony or Puma kicks.
Knox&derSNC also in guy's bio he's a sneaker collector (*mostly NIKE DUNKS and NIKE DUNK SB*)
He wore Nike while Cody wore Shell Toe Adidas, as when the game came out that was a huge rivalry at the time

Thank you for this!!! I was reading up on this character the other day. I've always wanted more info on his master Zeku who seemingly disappears after dismissively being spared by Guy (student). I always thought he'd be a good character to bring into the series as Guy is my main and one of my fav characters ever created. Thank you.

You did great job on Guy and I hope that Capcom will add Rose, Guy, Cody, Gouken, Sagat, Gill, Mike Hagger or maybe Ingrid to either Season 3 or Season 4 in SFV.
Next SF History should be either Dee Jay, Thunder Hawk, Fei Long or Crimson Viper.

Cannon wise, Cody could have won those encounters with Guy assuming he didn't hold back. But kicking Guy's ass would have required more than a minimal amount of effort though so he probably just let him win.
After covering Guy, I think it would be fitting to do one of another Final Fight character

UDON is just doing "Artwork" for Capcom, story they have all liberties. As for Guy blocking all E.Ryu's attack these are Masahiko Nakihara SF Manga's we're talking which Capom took elements and made canon, so we can safely say most of the SF manga's Nakihara released has been taken in into canon, SFAII special and SFAIII and SFIV Guy has a raging demon like move which signifies his quote "When evil arise the shadow of the Bushin falls." so BushinRyu can be considered a threat to the Satsui no Hadou

Doing what i can with ibuki in sfv, but she just doesnt have guy's cool factor. Not holding my breath for him in sfv, but sfxt gave me all the final fight love i could ask for plus Hwo/Ste. Till then, keeping motivation on sfv has been hella hard
