Someone online said a houserule that i think has made me actually love this game. Everytime you kill an enemy, move the tracker back one but it cant ever go back past a red circle. That way you have more time through killing, but eventually you will have to progress to the next red if you run out of enemies. We also dont reset the whole campaign, we only reset the chapter.
Fair enough, it seems to be the most contentious thing about the game, definitely a personal taste thing and I do wish the timer was a bit looser, particularly at 4 players but I've learned to just hoard blood echoes and skip dreaming till the end of the chapter lol.
I loved hated hunter track for making game focused and nerve racking experience . I think biggest moment this game lacking is insane vibe of bloodborne (i did not play expansions). It is like we just killing beasts, not getting deeper knowledge and insight about great ones. I miss Lovecraftian horror here
Absolutely easy to pause if you happen to not be able to finish a campaign, the chapters are very natural break points. And yes it is playable solo though I have no experience at that player count.

Fantastic painting!
I would've picked this over Dark Souls if the game didnt use a timer mechanic, I despise timer mechanics in all styles of gaming

Bro the great ones are in the expansions
Can it safely be paused and played over 2 or 3 game sessions instead of in a long stretch?
Also, curious if it's able to be played solo.
Yes it is designed this way. A campaign consists of 3 chapters.
