Just bring the pieces and join it together with super glue and add some tapes in backside of frame and done ✅
Will try. Bought the new hinges, and one of them has nothing to screw down to because the plastic holders of the nuts are broken off. Only solution, other than drilling through the top and applying nuts on the cover. Or, buying a new plastic cover. Gotta try this. TY.
So this epoxy will glue the metal back of hinge to plastic?
The other side screws are good.
you will have to choose the epoxy glue that can bond metal, glass, plastic, wood, and read the instructions on how long to mix and let dry. one of the crucial part is that the hinge should be not too tight or loose (just right) and the glue area is not oily so can be strong bond
@@KLGamers Thanks. Holds great problem is snaps when shutting epoxy corner not snapping all the way down. Maybe the white cord is in the way, but not sure.
@@KLGamers Woohoo it worked.😃😃😃😃🙌🙌 My mistake: too much epoxy. Solution I got my drill, and very carefully used it as a dremel tool to carve out a canal for the video white wire on the left to flow through.
There is a distinctive clicking upon full closure with these beefier hinges. Lol I applied very little lube on them. Thanks for the idea on this.
@@KLGamers Hi it worked. I used JB clear epoxy. clamped it for 48 hours. Put too much epoxy, so I went back and carved a canal for the white video wire with my drill--using it as a dremmel tool. (this required much caution) . This idea saved me from buying a new top cover, and maybe a new laptop. TY

I think AN515-52s are the most fragile laptops from Acer because many people experience broken hinge and flickering LCDs. I experienced both and it's the worst purchase ever.

@@KLGamers it lasted for a while for me but i didn't expect to experience such problems relatively early :( the tutorials to fix the broken hinge and replace the LCDs on nitro laptops that i found are usually from the people who own this model, so that tell you something XD
dell g3 lasted me 1.2 years and after total 2.3 years later now my hinge is totally fucked .
if i'll move my screen the display will be gone for sure

This is my second acer laptop I purchased. It is a 2020 model. I bought one and then returned it because it had some software issues. I returned it and got this one I am currently using. I rarely use it now since I am finished with school. I purchased warranty after manufacturer's and this happened to me about 5 hours ago. I was about to close it and I hear a crack. I open it and the hinge is fucked. I take it to micro center, and my warranty expired in June of this year. Just my luck. Like what is the point of buying these laptops if they break!? Very frustrating.
Same with msi laptop. Apparently a lot lf people had fall in this tricky gaming laptop with good price but such a bad quality design.

you need to check the description if ok for metal and plastic, need to be oil free surface to stick

new pair of hinges is about 15 $
but the old one is not broken and you will need to apply the glue because the plastic is broken
