I don't know if anybody still monitors this video to reply but I wanted to ask what you do with someone that when you teach the hook grip they then want to not let it go and Keep a death grip around the bar as they move under it. So in essence they're just having to pull it to their shoulders instead of actually being able to rotate around the bar.
This coaching is good. Early arm pull is bad habit form in cleans and snatch. How you will torch your forearms if not lifting correct. Technique is must.
A bit of toughness, and a lot of encouragement. A+ coaching.

Maintain hookgrip throughout the whole movement and release hookgrip when your about to jerk
