My ancestors lived in Waltness, Shapinsay. That was in the 1500's-1600's, they then moved to the Glasgow area before coming to the USA. I also have family ties to the Finley clan, but that's another conversation.

My ancestors lived at Waltness, Shapinsay as well in the early 1600s before moving to Glasgow, John Work and Cristian Drover.
I used to lived in orkney and I enjoyed growing up there and I lived on mainland beach called digehowing beach and famous lighthouse copinsay
I would love to visit the Orkneys and Shetlands.
I hope to visit next year. I want to see what my where my lived years ago.
