Nice video! Slide grease is too heavy for first and third tuning slides - usually you want to use slide oil, such as Ultrapure Formula 1-3 oil. At 9:50 when you tuned for low D it barely budged. To fix this you can simply add a couple of drops of valve oil to thin it down.

I appreciate you mentioning this. I often add valve oil to the slides like you suggested, I just forgot to mention it in the video.

I've recently purchased a silk leadpipe swab that I pass down the leadpipe and tuning slide at the end of each session. Really helps to keep things dry and clean in between tub cleanings.

Nice! Woodwind players do that after each playing session too. I’m so bad about maintenance, maybe I should look into this too!

Beautiful playing there, Sir!! It was absolutely worth the wait to hear you play. Now, if you will excuse me, I need to get to woodshedding, myself.

Wow, in 45 years of playing I've never dismantled the individual valve mechanism (ie the top half) because you don't blow through it. I just dunk the lower half into soapy water and brush it (making sure that the top half stays dry). Interested to know why you would do this (because I'm open to being wrong...)

I take it apart so I can get the whole valve in the soapy water. You dont have to, the way you described will work just fine!

Someone is not swabbing out the leadpipe and tuning slide weekly! 😂 Dawn is the way to go! Lukewarm water…NOT hot…

Used canned ‘dust off’ or air compressor with light blower tip can escalate the drying process

So you are going on the premises that if you are explaining the different parts of the valve because the reassembly is so important that you have no need to show me closer views of what you are talking about because YOU ALREADY KNOW WHAT THEY LOOK LIKE! Am I correct?? I would say Thank you but you get my drift I hope.

I’m sorry I offended you with how I presented how to clean a trumpet. I was trying to make it interesting.
