Very cool

Hi, where did you get the tiny mouthpiece brush that goes into the cup of the mouthpiece?
Hi! I saw brushes on amazon that i think would work. try straw brush. they're used to clean drinking straws.
Not that it matters but you started by taking apart a Benje and then reassembled what may have been a bach? But never the less, great video- thanks!!!
You didn't know they were interchangeable?
This is similar to what I do, except that I noticed that you fully submerged everything. Don't you need to be careful about submerging the felts on the valve tops? Also, where I live the water is fairly hard (i.e. quite a bit of dissolved calcium and magnesium). Do I need to worry about getting a scale build up in the trumpet if I put it in the bath? I've often thought it may be a good idea to use distilled water, but it would take a lot to fill the bath, or even the plastic tub I use.
I don't worry about the felts getting wet. You could totally take them off if you wanted to and I'll dry them with a towel sometimes, but I've never had anything bad happen because of wet felts, unless they flatten a little bit because of it. If they do I just replace them. We have really hard water too, but deposits normally happen with daily water use; like the sink faucet. I've never had a calcium deposit on my trumpet and I wouldn't worry about a once a month bath causing it. Hope that helps 😊
More importantly, the type of person who is going to over-analyze cleaning his trumpet is going to over-analyze his trumpet performance. I've been guilty of this type of thing. I'll address this in my live stream tonight.
Thanks for the reply. And yes, I'm definitely prone to over-analysis!
can the trumpet rust?
No
