Brilliant day you chose for this one Andy, looked a bit breezy in places though, as the day went on. Love the thumbs up pic from the cave. Fantastic views all round of the gnarly landscape.
Thanks Andy.Weather was spot on.Started to get a bit blowey when I popped out the chimney climb😱😱Glad I went back in this way to get to see the Bivi cave and do the scramble up rather than ascending/descending the Great Stone Shoot. If the weather was better I would of stayed to get Am Bastier, but Sunday forecast didn't look good.😀👍
Thanks Tam.Yeah the wind made it a bit squeaky bum trying to get down to the top of the chute.Fantastic day for it.Been waiting a while for a good weekend weather report to go over.😁👍
Thanks Paul.Yeah the wind picked up when I reached the chimmney,so it put the heart rate upto the summit and the downlicmb to the top of ghe chute lol.😱 12 to go now.In no rush and will wait for decent weather forecasts.😃👍
Well done finally getting to the summit Andy cracking day but a tad windy . still to venture to skye but cant wait to eventually get up there seen a few of your videos from the past trips up there brilliant. Atb Ally 👍
Thanks D and L.😃👍 Just never fancied the slog up the Great Stone Shoot.🤣Tried to do along with Dubh Mhor and Eag a few years ago but strained my leg and dropped back in Ghrunnda.Always wanted to see the Bivi Cave and i'm so glad I went back in this way.😃👍
@@AndyOB… Hi, we’ll definitely bivvy in the cave. Take our time and enjoy. We once tried to do The Eag.. lol… we failed. Weather wasn’t good so went back. Your video has lit a spark again though. Thanks mate, and all the best. D&L 😁🙏
Nice one Andy, great conditions altho a tad windy. I loved that scramble up and I enjoyed surfing doon the stone chute😂 love the new helmet, where did you get it Toysarus😂😂 nice with the brucie logo👍 1 more tae go up there mate and that’ll be Skye done.👍 Great watch as always Andy.👍 ATB Frank
Lol,thanks Frank.3rd attempt for this fecker so glad to have it done.Took a still from ur vid of the chimney so I didnae go up the wrong one.🤣🤣 Did not enjoy the stone chute....still a bit para about my foot so was just glad to get down it.Would not like to go up that way it's that loose. Another trip for Am Basteir now😎👍
What a day you got Andy! Sounded a tad windy though. Still to this one. How was the stone chute coming down? I assume you don’t want to go up that as it will be pretty tough? Cheer and ATB👍
Thanks Andrew.,great day.The wind made me a wee bit nervy on the summit hence why I dropped down to the top of the chute afore the "Brucie'.😂😂 Did not fancy going up that chute at all and I'm glad I didn't.Still got a bit of fear after my foot injury so even sliding down it was a bit uncomfortable.😱😱 Scramble was good but it can be quite airy going up the chimney and just above it.😃👍
How did you manage to navigate up that avoiding the stone chute ? Have you done this route before ? Its not a route walkhighlands talks about going up.. I'm heading there next week hope I get the weather you got , it looks amazing 👍
I knew there was a scree path directly under the T.D. GAP and a chimney to climb before a scramble to the summit. Most guides would take you this way if you were doing Sgurr nan Eag,Sgurr Dubh Mor and Sgurr Alasdair together.😃👍
Just watching this again to see what I missed. Didn’t think I’d have the nerve to do this after watching your video the first time but Climbed up the same route on Sunday - was pissing down all so didn’t see a thing ( maybe not a bad thing 😂). Do you mind if I take some screenshots to show what it should’ve been like? Cheers. PS how you getting on with organising g your compleation?
Hi Marie, screenshot away. This was my 3rd attempt at Alasdair.I found the top of the chimney a wee bit squeaky bum as i got hit with a wind at that point.🙄 As for compleation ....maybe missed my chance as the weather was pants with my 2 weeks off work. Not going to finish the rest unless the weather is good and enough daylight.xx
Yeah Billy...wind made it a wee bit squeaky bum on top.🤣🤣 Had tunes for it,but when I put them on the vid i wasn't getting the vibe so took them off.Couldn't be bothered searching for anymore.🤣👍
